Phoebe Snow had one of the most beautiful voices in Pop Music History.
Her song, Poetry Man easily ranks in my top fifty favorite pop songs of all time. (I had the lyrics, but the languid, yet smoldering, jazz feel, and her relaxed vibrato gave the song a level of class which allowed it to transcend it's pathetic subject matter.

young STILL!
She could have had a brilliant career, but instead chose to stay home and care for her brain-damaged daughter full-time, rather than institutionalizing her. She did this until her daughter's death at age 31 and never regretted it for a moment. What a woman.
Rachel,
She was a good human being. And, that is a beautiful thing. Even more beautiful than her voice.
Poly Styrene of X-Ray Spex died today too. Bad day for music lovers.
CJ,
You should post on that.
Were you friends with Poly?
