For God's sake.

The Working Families Party (WFP) (www.workingfamiliesparty.org) is New York's most energetic, independent and progressive political party. Formed in 1998 by a grassroots coalition of community organizations, neighborhood activists, and labor unions, we came together to build a society that works for all of us, not just Wall Street CEOs and the well-connected. WFP is independent from corporate and government funding and in-addition we are community based; community funded and equally uninfluenced by both major parties. Our agenda focuses on economic and social justice, corporate accountability, job creation, environmental protection, and investment in education and healthcare.
For the past twelve years the WFP has been at the fore front of progressive politics,

Leading the fight and helping to frame the debate. The WFP has a proud record of fighting for issues that matter and has been instrumental in implementing key pieces of legislation such as Raising New York's Minimum Wage, Enacting Living Wage Laws, Creating Thousands of Jobs In the Green Economy, Passing Healthcare Reforms on the Local Level, Fighting for Affordable Housing, Keeping Tuition Costs Low, A Progressive Tax Code, Reliable/Cost Effective Public Transit System, Public Financing Of Elections and Corporate Accountability . In addition, we have an unapologetic stance on supporting and pushing good candidates to enact progressive legislation

The WFP is seeking immediate hires.

You must be an energetic communicator, with a passion for social and economic justice.

Only outgoing, articulate dedicated, determined candidates will be considered for the positions.

For those candidates that qualify WFP offers substantial paid-training provided by senior leadership, on varied issues such as: advocacy, public speaking, mobilizing, fundraising, networking and organizing. We invest in passionate people with excellent communication skills and a full benefits package is offered to those candidates that qualify. In addition, there is opportunity for advancement and travel to our satellite chapters and out of state affiliates.

This is not a policy job! Through direct action you will be shaping NY state politics for the next 20 years.

If you care about New York and want to help educate and mobilize around legislative campaigns-then we look forward to hearing from you!

Here's the Screen Shot:

Working Families Party was born out of a coalition made up of Unions, the New Party, and Acorn:
The Working Families Party (WFP) is a minor political party in the United States founded in New York in 1998. There are "sister" parties to the New York WFP in Connecticut, Massachusetts, South Carolina, Delaware, Vermont and Oregon, but there is as yet no national WFP. It seems likely that the state WFPs will form a federation of sorts before 2012, but nothing definitive has been announced.

New York's Working Families Party was first organized in 1998 by a coalition of labor unions, ACORN and other community organizations, members of the now-inactive national New Party, and a variety of public interest groups such as Citizen Action of New York.
This confirms that SEIU and ACORN were working to astroturf this whole thing with George Soros's money.

Soros has been funding the "Working Families" parties since the early 1990s.

Evidence of Obama's laser focus on jobs?

Epaminondas said...

And the WFP $ came from?

STIMULUS FUNDS?

Soros?

Wasserman Schultz?

Pastorius said...

Maybe this is where those jobs came from which represented the rise (other than striking Verizon workers) in employment for the past quarter.

Linked!Perhaps from the last 'green jobs' funds?

Brooke said...

Ah, so Obama has managed to create jobs after all!

Just another basic difference between these turds and the TEA party.

I don't mean to be disrespectful to people on this blog but I think those here who are unemployed (MR?) should think about taking advantage of these crooks.

Apply for this job en masse and take the "movement" over. Or atleast bleed them dry of some of the money they have by taking the job and showing up and putting up meaningful, conservative messages on your placards.

Just a thought. Its along the lines of getting your posts reported to AttackWatch. Its on craigslist for crying out loud. They're trying to make a fool of the American people, its time you guys turned the tables on them.

That's exactly what I would do if I was an American.

Concerned Conservative.....That is brilliant!!

OT
Pasto and Epa, someone has taken your names in vain on an '07 GoV thread.
""That said, I have a SERIOUS QUESTION for every blogger at GoV. Have any of you actually met either “Pastorius” or “Epaminondas” in real life? Every single blogger at IBA is an anonymous coward! (Not saying that all anonymous bloggers are necessarily cowards, but there is a difference between hobbyist bloggers who merely offer their opinions and those who take the extra step of declaring themselves “heroes” or “leaders” but who refuse to provide any identifying information.) For all we know, Pastorius/Epaminondas is/are men in his/their early 30’s living in his/their parents’ house(s) in Suburbia, USA. I hope you don’t believe Epaminondas’ bullshit stories about his alleged involvement in the Civil Rights movement. Personally, I think that “Pastorius” and “Epaminondas” are one and the same! Namely, I think “Epaminondas” is an avatar of “Pastorius.” Just look at their blogger profiles. Coincidentally they happen to live at exactly opposite corners of the continental United States. (One being from “Southern California” the other is from “Northern New England” even using the same conventions for describing their locations!) They both appear to be unemployed or sporadically employed at best. And they share the exact same ideology. What are the odds that a SoCal WASP and a New England Jew would have the exact same ideology? I know that Southern Cali and New England are both very liberal areas, but being at opposite corners of the USA, surely there would be some difference in outlook. And why would an American Jew name himself after an obscure Theban statesman? (Though perhaps this is apt seeing as IBA is essentially a Theban Sacred Band…)

Pastorius said...

That is hilarious, Sameno. How did you come across this on a 2007 thread? Were you subscribed to the thread?

Anyway, I think that guy has been here at IBA saying the same thing before. He insisted that Epa was just another one of my names.

So, let me ask you, do Epa and I seem like the same person to you?

Pastorius said...

By the way, it would seem obvious to me that my writing is filled with Anglicisms, and Epa's writing is laden with backwards garble of Yoda.

I mean, I would have to be a pretty brilliant writer of fiction to have invented that style and have carried it on for seven years now.

And, who would write like me, and why? If I invented this style? I mean, I know why I write the way I do. But, if I just invented the style ... For God's sake. What a fucked up style of writing to have invented.

And, by the way, anyone who has ever heard me on the various radio shows I have been on (IBA Radio Show, Atlas Shrugs radio show, Gathering Storm radio show) would know that I speak exactly the way I write.

Did I invent that too?

This guy needs to study Literary Style a bit.

Ok, so I just read Epa's blogger profile. Check it out. Here's what Epa is into:

I wonder if Epa even knows who Harold Brodkey is.

LOL

I can't imagine the guy who lists "The Producers" and "What's Up Doc" as his favorite movies would be into Labyrinths (by Borges) or "Radiohead's Kid A album" or the poetry of Wallace Stevens.

Seriously, the two could not be more different on face value.

That being said, even though Epa is a East Coast guy, Jewish, former Hippie, etc

And, even though I am a West Coast, So Cal Punk-era, former singer in an 80's era rock n' roll band,

yeah, I think Epa and I do have a lot in common.

But, I do have to reiterate, I think I would have to be a genius to have come up with the "Epa character" and have carried him on on a blog for seven straight years.

Epaminondas said...

"Epa's writing is laden with backwards garble of Yoda."

What mean you?

Epaminondas said...

And Harold Brodkey is the short order cook at the Eagle's Nest Diner on the Arline Road in Eddington, Maine

Pastorius said...

See?

And, for that matter, I doubt the angry fool who thinks Epa and I are the same guy would have any idea who Harold Brodkey is either.

Epaminondas said...

I have to stop commenting to myself, or whoever the other me is

Epaminondas said...

Or ---- as Kenneth Mars (the Original and TRUE Franz Liebkin) said in What's Up Doc, "I am Hugh"

Pastorius said...

I liked What's Up Doc? I thought it was a very fun and funny movie.

But, see you have a Marx Brothers Mad Magazine type humor. And, my sense of humor is way more Howard Stern.

Pastorius said...

The books/authors you list are all history of genre fiction. I list poets and classic fiction, or postmodernist fiction, like Brodkey and David Foster Wallace (who are both postmodernists who write in a Proust/Pynchon style.

I can't imagine you bother with that kind of shit, right Epa?

;-)

Epaminondas said...

You know what Robert E Lee said about poetry? ... in essence he called it jerking off. He wasn't fond of fiction either, but he never read Margaret Mitchell

I wouldn't go that far on poetry, but I tend towards the more functional kinds of poetry ..

"There once was a man from Nantucket.."

;)

Real poetry ..

"You will start out standing proud to steal her anything she sees

But you will wind up peeking through her keyhole down upon your knees"

SamenoKami said...

Been out of loop. I was subscribed to the thread at GoV. Some guy nicked as "Super Samson" posted on a 4yr old thread and I got tagged.
I tho't you'd enjoy it.
And I see you 'both' did.
Here's a poem.

Roses are red, and violets are blue. I have multiple personalities, and I do to. Speak for yourselves you dichotic two, I'm perfectly sane, and they are too!

Pastorius said...

Now that's some practical poesy, eh Epa?

Yeah, Super Samson. That's the guy. He was here before. What a weird dude.

I think that's the guy who got really angry and called me "the most sanctimonious blogger in the counter-Jihad" the other day. But that time he commented as an Anonymous commenter.
