Spanish Churches Threatened With Fines Because Bell-Ringing Disturbs Immigrants

(IVE).Spanish churches are being threatened with fines because the sound of their bells disturbs 'neighbours'. The threats are being made by Catalan nationalist mayors acting in response to complaints made by "immigrants".  

After a protest held by these "immigrants" in Las Garrigàs, a representative of the local authority assured them that the bell of the local church would be decommissioned if the priest continued to ring it each day.

This seems to be yet further evidence of the bizarre Catalan Nationalist-Mohammedan alliance that seems to have been formed in parts of Catalonia.

Although the article in Spanish does not further specify the character of these "immigrants", I don't think you need to be a genius to reach the obvious conclusion, particularly as Las Gallegas is part of Lérida, which is known to have been heavily colonised by Muslims, and where the mysterious dog poisoning outbreaks occurred.

"We've got your dogs, now we want your bells!" seems to be the order of the day.

A parish priest is collecting signatures for a petition demanding that the churches be left alone.
