Graphic novelist Pat Grant really is quite the ignoramus

The Australian graphic novelist Pat Grant, who penned the propaganda called Blue, also gave an interview to Broken Frontier, where he made his political positions - and dhimmitude - clearer than ever:
BROKEN FRONTIER: What was the inspiration behind Blue?

PAT GRANT: In 2005, by a series of unfortunate accidents I found myself on the white sand of a Sydney beach in the middle of a full blown race riot. An angry drunken lynch mob made up of surfers, tradesmen, and all manner of local characters assembled to beat the living piss out of anyone of Middle Eastern appearance in an attempt to defend ‘their beach’ and ‘their culture’ from the migrant communities of south western Sydney. It was a media circus and a national source of embarrassment. It quickly became known as the infamous Cronulla Riot. Since then a wave of neo-nationalism has emerged in coastal communities, particularly among surfers, and I’ve been drawing comics as a way of figuring it out.

As a surfer and someone who grew up in a small coastal town I felt I had something to contribute to a discussion of this new movement. Surfers are territorial. Defending local spaces from outsiders has been something that has always been a part of the sport, but this has exploded to become a defense of a national identity, and that only really encompasses ‘whitefellas’. It’s fascinating stuff and it needs to be written about.
If that's what he thinks, what about the sexual assaults that the Muslims whom he doesn't even mention clearly here committed? Doesn't that need to be written about? Does he even care about Muslim anti-semitism Down Under? I guess not. He probably doesn't even have the education needed to recognize that Arabs are as white as the average Australian, regardless of whether they're darker or lighter complected.

If anything, this simply confirms any concerns that the man is an ignoramus, poorly informed and willing to tolerate evil ideologies.

That aside, his artwork is some of the most slovenly, hateful I've ever seen. Almost makes Rob Liefeld's look sane by comparison.
