All of us, every single man, woman, and child on the face of the Earth were born with the same unalienable rights; to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. And, if the governments of the world can't get that through their thick skulls, then, regime change will be necessary.

Is it me or is Joe Biden LAUGHING a hideous turn off?
Does that do harm to Obama, that his VP is better than him?
I honestly don't know who won this debate. I thought both scored points. Biden was more forceful. Ryan was calm and more clear.
But there were a couple of times (one of them being on the issue of why the Ayatollahs are getting the wrong message from the Obama Admin) where Ryan ought to have used one of his trademark, "This is how Obama thinks it should be done, but this is how it turns out when he does it," turns of phrase.
Instead, his explanation was convoluted, and he allowed himself to get cut off by the moderator
Ryan missed a couple of knockout opportunities, I thought. Esp since Biden was totally inaccurate a few times. But this debate is going to be judged on what the average (polite?) american, who is undecided thought about that incredible performance by what on TV was clearly a complete BUFFOON. An angry grump, anxious to talk and not listen, impatient to be forceful Closer debate on actual verbage, but Biden was a very unlikable and obvious ACTOR.
As one observer said .."I just wish Ryan would turn around and ask Biden 'Joe, what the fuck is so funny?'"
By the way, watching this debate from Argentina and as a non American, I have to say that I felt disgusted by Biden's whole performance but specifically his condescending smile.
I've watched a lot of debates over the years and the only times I have seen that smile is when the debater has nothing to offer but wants to win by belittling the opponent.
These kinds of people do win support from their followers but turn off those who are with the opposition but more importantly those who were independent.
I think it was a great debate for democrats because their guy "shut Ryan up". But I think Biden might have pushed the independents away even more than Obama did in the first debate.
It's still interesting Pasto, that most people polled by CNN thought Ryan won the debate...something I didn't actually expect to happen along with other poll results in your post.

Yes, Epa, all that condescending laughing from Biden is quite hideous and, IMO, smacks of bullying.
He's trying to make Ryan look inexperienced and incapable.
I rather imagine that the Dems are loving Biden's performance.
Even worse, I think, is Biden's constantly interrupting.
FYI and interesting, I think.
I think it looks arrogant. My wife said, "Patronizing."
But, of course, we are predisposed to like Ryan.
Who knows how it will play with the American public in this era of Keeping Up With Snooki.
By the way, I thought Biden outdebated Obama.

WHO I THOUGHT WAS VERY FAIR, BY THE WAY.
Congrats to her.
Maybe she won the debate.
A fool's laughter is quickly gone, like thorns in a fire.

Good quote, and very appropriate. Is that from Proverbs?
Pastorius,

Yes, Solomon too turned around and said, "Joe, what the fuck is so funny?"

Epa,
THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I WAS THINKING,
PAUL RYAN HAS TO CALL BIDEN ON THIS INCESSANT AND INANE LAUGHTER.
Chris Wallace was exceptionally derisive about Biden.
I thought MSNBC would say 'way to go joe'
Oh I don't think the moderator was fair. She interrupted Paul Ryan countless times in the middle of his rebuttal or in the middle of his point.
She was lacking the smirk or she'd be as obnoxious as Biden.
Biden and her were a team it seems since she did try to bail Biden out a few times with her interruptions.

I am very very surprised.
Nicoenarg,
Thank you for your excellent observations.
In my view, Biden acted like a smart ass kid in junior high.
