Obama's answer on why gas prices were $1.86 when he took office
Astoundingly STUPID.
Breathtakingly dumb.
We were at the edge of a new depression and THAT'S why gas prices were at $1.86?
I am a Marketing guy so not only am I listening to the answer for reason, brevity, and clarity, but I'm also trying to assess how the answers will play with various constituencies, and how they will be twisted by the media machine, and the Fact Check Scam.
About Libya, Romney should have turned around and said, "alright, it's great that you called and aske around AFTER the attack, but with all due respect Mr. President, where the fuck were you before?"
It was a nasty debate. Again, like the vice presidential debate, I don't think this is a game changer. I did see Romney as more approachable (overall) than Obama. There were times of course when Romney looked pissed off but he didn't come across as a jerk unlike Biden.
I do think Romney had a harder job again. All Obama had to do was appear to be breathing. Romney not only had to do the debate but he is constantly having to come back and tell the people that Obama portrays him as someone he's not.
I can understand his plans plenty, the media repeats that Romney is vague and that's what people end up believing.
The moderator should not have corrected Romney during the Libya thing when she didn't do so with other issues. Once again we had a moderator in place who tried to give Obama the edge.
All in all, it was a tie in my opinion, but polls on the debate and media will declare Obama the winner simply because he didn't appear as though his dog had just died.
Yes, he's behind 10 electoral votes but he was down 74 electoral votes before the first debate. Again, I think this wont change the overall polls either way. They might stop Romney's advance in polls but they aren't likely to reverse the advance.
I guess what I'm saying is, it's not over. No one won this one. Like I've been saying all along, this wasn't a fair debate since everyone was just looking for a sign of life in Obama. They saw it and they perceive him a winner because of that.
Conservatives need to take heart and calm down before they start throwing in the towel.
Yeah. The stakes are really high now. The next debate is on foreign policy. Romney needs to prepare better. Since Romney hasn't done anything relating to foreign policy and we see what's happened because of obama's foreign policy, it shouldn't be hard to get Obama on the defensive.
Now one thing that goes in romney's favor going into the next debate is that now people won't be wondering "what happened to our messiah Obama?!" Since that's out of the way, we can hope to see a real debate. And I don't have to say it twice, Obama stands to lose in a real debate. BUT Romney needs to be prepared.
And I think Romney did a great job explaining how obama's bs does not work. If it wasn't for people worrying about obama's state of mind because of the last debate, this debate would have been a clear draw or Romney on top.
Wait. I'm confused. Did I read the CNN poll wrong for tonight's debate? It said that 58% thought Romney would be better after today's debate. Or that's what I thought I read. Or are you talking about other polls?
Okay I can't find the CNN page anymore. It's hard to do research in a damn phone but yes CNN poll said 58% thought Romney would be better on the economy after they watched the debate.

It is good for Romney. The whole debate was good for Romney in that he didn't lose points, which is what I was afraid could happen.
