The Right of the People to be Secure in their Persons, Houses, Papers, and Effects,
Against Unreasonable Searches and Seizures,
Shall Not Be Violated

Saturday, August 25, 2012

From Reliapundit at The Astute Bloggers:
World Net Daily reported a few weeks ago (via Creeping Sharia and Winds of Jihad) that thejudge who discriminated against an atheist for wearing a "zombie Muhammed" costume was rebuked by the state judicial committee:
A judge in Pennsylvania who dismissed charges against a fellow Muslim who was accused of attacking an atheist parading as a zombie Muhammad has been rebuked by state judicial officials.

The state Judicial Conduct Board action concerned Magisterial Judge Mark Martin, of Cumberland County, who was involved in the case that developed last winter when American Atheists’ Pennsylvania State Director Ernest Perce V was marching in a parade, and allegedly was attacked. [...]

A complaint was filed with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Judicial Conduct Board by John P. McTernan, a pro-life activist and founder of Defend and Proclaim the Faith Ministry.

He told WND he got a response from Joseph A. Massa Jr., the chief counsel for the state board.

The letter said, “The board recently concluded its investigation regarding the complaint you filed against Magisterial District Judge Mark Martin, Cumberland County. The board voted to issue a letter of caution to Judge Martin as a private rebuke of his behavior and, thereafter, to close the case.

“Judge Martin was mailed this letter, and the case is now closed,” the letter said.

There had been numerous calls for the judge’s removal when the situation developed.
And there still should be. What he did was abominable and one can only wonder what he'd do in a case where a woman or a child was raped. He certainly shouldn't be welcomed at the local resturant if that's how he's going to behave. A rebuke isn't enough; the man does not deserve to be in a job like what he's got if he's going to rule in favor of people who act violent in the name of their beliefs.

Welcome to the REAL WORLD

Caroline Glick, no comment needed about this beyond ONE … this is the manifestation that all that has gone on in history since Xerxes advisor (the son of Amalekite kings), tried to orchestrate the first genocide about 430BC. Nothing is any different. The Holocaust was just this same ignorance at the juncture of a western industrial opportunity.
This week a German doctor in Bavaria filed a criminal complaint against Rabbi David Goldberg.

Rabbi Goldberg’s “crime”? He performs ritual circumcisions on Jewish male infants in accordance with Jewish law.

The doctor’s complaint came shortly after a ruling by a court in Cologne outlawing the practice of male circumcision.

The Austrians and the Swiss also took the ruling to heart and have banned infant male circumcision in several hospitals in Switzerland as well as in the Austrian state of Vorarlberg. Denmark and Scandinavian governments are also considering limiting the practice of circumcision which has constituted one of the foundational rituals of Judaism for four thousand years.

Meanwhile, in Norway Dr. Anne Lindboe has come up with the perfect way out of the artificial crisis. Lindboe serves a Norway’s ombudsman for children’s rights. And she proposes that we Jews just change our religion to satisfy anti-Jewish sensitivities. She suggests we replace circumcision with “a symbolic, nonsurgical ritual.”

It’s worth mentioning that circumcision isn’t the only Jewish ritual these enlightened Europeans find objectionable. Sweden, Norway and Switzerland have already banned kosher slaughter.

Attacking circumcision isn’t just a European fetish. The urge to curb Jewish religious freedom has reached the US as well. Last year San Francisco’s Jewish Community Relations Council had to sue the city to strike a measure from last November’s ballot that would have banned circumcision if passed. The measure’s sponsor gathered the requisite 12,000 signatures to enter the proposition on the ballot. Circumcising males under the age of 18 would have been classified as a misdemeanor punishable by a $1,000 fine and up to a year in prison. Sponsors of the measure distributed anti-Semitic materials depicting rabbis performing circumcisions as villains.

The people involved in banning or attempting to ban circumcision are not on the political fringe of their societies. They are part of a leftist establishment. They are doctors and lawyers, judges and politicians. This doesn’t mean that all their fellow leftists are anti-Semites. But it does mean the political Left in the Western world feels comfortable keeping company with anti-Semites.

This state of affairs is even more striking in international affairs than in domestic politics. On the international level the Left’s readiness to rub elbows with anti-Semites has reached critical levels.

While the Europeans have long been happy to cater to the anti-Semitic whims of the Islamic world, the escalation of the West’s willingness to accept anti-Semitism as a governing axiom in international affairs is nowhere more apparent than in the Obama administration’s foreign policy.

And the American Left’s willingness – particularly the American Jewish Left’s willingness – to cover up the administration’s collusion with anti- Semitic regimes at Israel’s expense is higher today than ever before.

A clear-cut example of both the Obama administration’s willingness to adhere to anti- Semitic policies of anti-Semitic governments and the Left’s willingness to defend this bigoted behavior is the Obama administration’s decision not to invite Israel to participate in its new Global Counterterrorism Forum.

The GCF was founded with the stated aim of fostering international cooperation in fighting terrorism. But for the Obama administration, it was more important to make Turkish Prime Minister Recep Erdogan, who supports the Hamas and Hezbollah terrorist groups, feel comfortable, than it was to invite Israel to participate.

Not only did the US exclude Israel, at the GCF’s meeting last month in Spain, Maria Otero, the State Department’s under secretary for civilian security, democracy and human rights, seemed to embrace the Muslim world’s obscene claim that Israelis are not victims of terrorism because terrorism against Israel isn’t terrorism.

In her speech, titled “Victims of Terrorism,” Otero spoke of terror victims in Jordan, Turkey, Pakistan, Uganda, Colombia, Northern Ireland, Indonesia, India and the US. But she made no mention of Israeli terror victims.

Rather than criticize the administration for its decision to appease bigots at the expense of their victim, American Jewish leftists have defended the administration. Writing inThe Atlantic, Zvika Kreiger, senior vice president of the far-left S. Daniel Abraham Center for Middle East Peace, wrote that allowing the Jewish state entry to the GCF parley would have “undermined the whole endeavor.”

Kreiger sympathetically quoted a State Department official who explained that actually, by ostracizing Israel the administration was helping Israel.

The source “reasoned the progress made by the organization would ultimately better serve Israel’s interests (not to mention those of the United States) than would the symbolic benefits of including it in a group that likely wouldn’t accomplish anything. [Moreover]… once the organization was up and running, and its agenda was established, they could find ways to include Israel that would not be disruptive.”

So despite the fact that Israel is a major target of terrorism, and despite the fact that many of the states the US invited to its forum condone terrorism against Israel and support terrorist groups that murder Israeli Jews, Israel is better off being excluded, because the anti-Jewish governments invited by the Obama administration will somehow totally change their perspective on anti-Jewish terrorism as long as they don’t have to suffer the irritation of sitting in the same room as real-live representatives of the Jewish state.

THE CYNICISM of the State Department official’s statement to Kreiger is only outpaced by Kreiger’s stubborn refusal to acknowledge that cynicism.

Kreiger’s behavior makes sense. If he acknowledges the bigoted nature of the Obama administration’s policies he will have to stop defending them.

To a degree, Kreiger’s willingness to defend and justify the Obama administration’s anti-Israel behavior parallels the behavior of Israelis who argue against Israel unilaterally striking Iran’s nuclear facilities in order to delay the Iranian regime’s acquisition of nuclear weapons.

Since 2003, when Iran’s nuclear weapons program was first revealed to the world community, Iran’s leaders have succeeded in convincing world leaders that Israel is No. 1 on their target list. And so, the international debate about what a nuclear-armed Iran will mean for the world has always followed the Iranians’ lead and centered on the dangers it would pose to Israel.

Israel’s leaders from then-prime minister Ariel Sharon down to the last governmental spokesman have maintained that Iran’s nuclear program threatens the entire Free World. Sharon – like his leftist disciples today – claimed that given the threat Iran’s nuclear program constitutes for global security, Israel has no reason to lead the global fight to destroy Iran’s nuclear weapons program. Indeed, Israeli leadership of the campaign against Iran’s nuclear program would cause some countries to do nothing because they hate Israel even more than they fear Iran.

Like his followers today, Sharon insisted that the US, as the leader of the Free World, is responsible for preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. And they are right. Iran’s nuclear program does threaten global security and Iran’s nuclear program does threaten the US specifically. Iranian dictator Ali Khamenei just ordered his troops to carry out terror attacks against the US in retaliation for US moves to overthrow Iran’s Syrian puppet Bashar Assad. Iran was the principle sponsor of the insurgency in Iraq and remains the principle supporter of the Taliban in Afghanistan.

It’s not that Israel’s leaders belittle the threat Iran’s nuclear weapons program constitutes for Israel. Across the spectrum on the Iran debate in Israel – from former Mossad director Meir Dagan and President Shimon Peres on the Left to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak on the Right – everyone agrees that in light of the Iranian regime’s religious fanaticism and its millenarian belief that Armageddon will hearken the coming of the Shi’ite messiah, Iran cannot be trusted not to use nuclear weapons against Israel.

Everyone admits that given Iran’s open sponsorship of terrorism, it is a certainty that terror groups would use the Iranian nuclear umbrella to massively expand their terrorist war against Israel.

Just as Dagan, Peres and their associates share Netanyahu’s assessment of the threat Iran’s nuclear program poses for Israel, Netanyahu agrees with their assessment that Israel’s options for contending militarily with Iran’s nuclear program are limited and imperfect. No one argues that Israel has a magic bullet to destroy Iran’s nuclear project.

Netanyahu and Barak have repeatedly warned that Israel has no perfect strike option. They have also warned that a response from Iran and its proxies in Syria and Lebanon to an Israeli strike will likely be harsh and deadly. All they say is that it is better than the alternative of Iranian acquisition of nuclear weapons.

The doves agree with Netanyahu that a limited Israeli strike is better than the alternative of a nuclear-armed Iran. They differ with Netanyahu on only one issue: their assessment of the US’s willingness to use military force to prevent Iran from becoming a nuclear power.

Voicing the doves’ assessment of the Obama administration and Europe, this week former commander of Military Intelligence Maj.-Gen. (res.) Aharon Zeevi Farkash told NBC news, “I think Western leaders realize a nuclear Iran is the No. 1 challenge facing the world.”

Unfortunately, Farkash is wrong. Gen. Martin Dempsey, the chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, made this point earlier this week in an interview from Afghanistan. There Dempsey said frankly, “Israel sees the Iranian threat more seriously than the US sees it, because a nuclear Iran poses a threat to Israel’s very existence.”

In other words, Dempsey told us that Iran’s cynical packaging of its nuclear program as an anti-Israel initiative has worked. The Americans – and the Europeans – believe that Iran’s nuclear program is Israel’s problem to deal with. The Israelis are right that as the leader of the Free World it is the US’s responsibility to prevent Iran from becoming a nuclear power. But as Dempsey’s statement shows, the US is not interested in fulfilling its responsibility.

Like the Europeans, the Americans will only act when Iran forces them to do so. And that means they will do nothing to prevent Iran from developing the bomb. They will only move when Tehran has already crossed Israel off the top of its target list.

Israeli opponents of an Israeli strike against Iran don’t want to believe that Americans are capable of such cynicism. They would like to believe that the only government capable of behaving cynically is their own. They want to believe that the US – with its vastly superior military capabilities to destroy Iran’s nuclear program – will do the right thing and not leave it to Israel – with its limited means – to take care of the problem for a cynical world.

But just as Kreiger’s defense of the Obama administration’s courtship of anti-Semites at Israel’s expense crosses the line separating naivete from willful, bigotry-enabling blindness, so Peres, Dagan and their colleagues cross the line. And it is not mere bigotry they are enabling.

Iran Moves To Legalize Marriage For Girls Under 10 Years Old

From Will at The Other News:
When Saudi Arabia announced three months ago that girls as young as 10-years old would now be allowed to marry, Iran decided to drop the age limit even further.

Iranian Christian news service Mohabat News reports a member of the Iranian Parliament (Majiles) Mohammad Ali Isfenani, “we must regard 9 as being the appropriate age for a girl to have reached puberty and qualified to get married. To do otherwise would be to contradict and challenge Islamic Sharia law.” He argues,

Before the revolution girls under 16 were not allowed to marry. Parents determined to get around the law would often tamper with their daughter’s birth certificate. Under the previous constitution, people were legally regarded as adults when they were 18. After the revolution the age at which children were regarded as going through puberty was lowered to 9 for girls and 15 for boys
Mohabat News reports statistics that show over the past few weeks, over 75 female children under 10 were forced to marry much older men. And in nearly 4000 cases, both the bride and groom were under 14.

The Examiner says according to a news release from the Parliamentary Legal Affairs Committee, the current civil law, drafted before the revolution in the late 1970’s regarding the legal age of marriage for girls under the age of ten, is considered “un-Islamic and illegal.”

Majiles (Iranian Parliament) is now expected to vote on the proposal to bring civil law more in line with Sharia Law.

The Women’s News Network reports that there are more than 10-million girls under the age of 18 married each year around the world, usually without their consent and to much older men.

Obama says the Koran teaches that, "Be it man or woman, each of you is equal to the other."

The Blaze:

46 Reasons Why Iran Should Think Twice Before Attacking Israel (Hint: Women With Guns)

Iran has been beating the war drums this week. But the Ayatollah and the Iranian Guard should know what they’re up against. Israel is the only country in the world that maintains obligatory military service for women. And they are proud of it.

So we decided to thumb through some of the best (reported) pictures of Israeli women in the military to see what Iran is up against. Here’s what we found.

Updated at bottom

Disgruntled gunman kills one. Cops kill him and wound nine others.

Makes you wonder why Bloomberg thinks it's law abiding citizens who can't be trusted with guns.

And it's predictable how the media played that down. Most of the injuries were minor. Yeah, ok. Shot is shot.

Now, had an armed civilian taken down the gunman and wounded nine others in the process, well, the hue and cry would have been unbearable. This is what happens when we let untrained civilians have guns. Only trained law enforcement should have guns. Only they know how and when to use them properly. The injuries may be minor but they will have long possibly lifetime effects on the person who was shot.

But this is Mayor Bloomberg's New York. Where it is nigh unto impossible for a law abiding citizen to legally carry a firearm except in the most extreme of circumstances.

And I would hope there would be one hell of an investigation as to what went wrong here.

Yes, absolutely, something went very wrong.

Wade Page, intent on doing so, killed six and wounded four before cops took him down. Eleven total dead or injured.

Jeffrey Johnson killed one before cops accidentally wounded nine before killing him. Eleven total dead or injured.

Mayhem and pandemonium and an adrenaline dump can only account for so much. It cannot, to my mind, explain how two supposedly well trained "anti-terrorism" cops trying to subdue one man who was no longer an active shooter until he was confronted by them managed to wound nine innocent bystanders in the process. It would seem from reports thus far that Johnson's intent was only to kill the man he did (bad enough), not to create an Aurora or Wisconsin or Va. Tech type situation. He was no longer active until confronted. Is this what could happen with a doctrine of last shot fired? Is it acceptable if so?

Maybe they could have handled it differently maybe not. I wasn't there I don't know and I am not laying blame but it should be looked into.

But this is Barack Obama's America so even if it is don't expect to hear anything about it, especially if it doesn't go well for the police.

I am a legally armed American asking these questions because there is no way the pols nor the media would let us off as easily if we had stopped the shooter.

I am a legally armed American saying that if you are (rightly) going to hold me to a higher standard then you damn well should be holding your law enforcement officials to a higher standard than having "police bullets sprayed across a crowded street during Friday's morning rush."

Seems I'm not the only one thinking this way.

If you watch the video the cops may not be firing randomly but pretty damn close to it AND they are firing at Johnson with bystanders in very close proximity.

This is inexcusable. He was no longer shooting. They could have followed him and nabbed him later, when there was far less danger to others around. The construction workers were apparently doing just that before the cops intervened.

Eight feet is little more than contact distance. There is no reason the cop should have missed to begin with and scant reason, given the circumstances, that he should have fired in the first place.

Askia described the scene when officers caught up with Johnson. He said the gunman stopped six feet away from him, with two officers about eight feet in the other direction. "All of a sudden the guy stopped, and he was facing a cop who was following him," Asika said.

"He just reached in his suit and took out the gun, and I saw him pull it [towards] the cops. I'm like, is this guy for real? One of the cops was trying to shoot back at him and one of them shot me while the other one shot the guy."

The Wiki Weapon: Why Gun Control Will Ultimately Fail

From Dangerous Minds:
Calling his concept the “Wiki Weapon,” Cody Wilson is in the middle of raising funds to create a gun that can be downloaded from the Internet and built with a 3D printer.
In an article in Forbes, Andy Greenberg writes…
Earlier this month, Wilson and a small group of friends who call themselves “Defense Distributed” launched an initiative they’ve dubbed the “ Wiki Weapon Project.” They’re seeking to raise $20,000 to design and release blueprints for a plastic gun anyone can create with an open-source 3D printer known as the RepRap that can be bought for less than $1,000.
If all goes according to plan, the thousands of owners of those cheap 3D printers, which extrude thin threads of melted plastic into layers that add up to precisely-shaped three-dimensional objects, will be able to turn the project’s CAD designs into an operational gun capable of firing a standard .22 caliber bullet, all in the privacy of their own garage.”

Anti-Semitism Catches Fire: Radical Islam revives an ancient hatred

From the Telegraph:

Islamic fundamentalists are ready to settle scores
Is a new and shocking wave of anti-Semitism engulfing the Middle East and the developing world? Consider the following:
More than half the Jews in Iraq have been driven out of the country; those that remain are forced to pay a fine or leave their homes. Some are forced to marry Muslims.
In Syria, towns and villages where Jews have lived for centuries are now almost entirely Muslim; these communities have fled to safer parts of the country, where they hope to escape an anti-Semitic massacre.
In Egypt, the new regime is surreptitiously encouraging attacks on synagogues; the Jews, despised for their supposed wealth, fear that the “Arab spring” is about to release centuries of pent-up anti-Semitic hatred.
In Nigeria, Jews have been attacked and killed while studying scripture. In Bangladesh, Jewish children are being forced into madrassas. In Pakistan, the body of an 11-year-old Jewish boy was discovered this week; he’d been tortured to death and his lips sliced off.
You won’t have heard about this atrocious persecution. That’s because – forgive me – I’ve played one of the oldest tricks in the journalist’s book. For Jews, read Christians. For anti-Semitic, read anti-Christian. For synagogues read churches.
I hope Jewish readers won’t take offence: I’m not denying that actual anti-Semitism is spreading like a virus throughout Arab societies. It’s just that, if these attacks against Christians were being directed against Jews, the precedent of the Holocaust would shock the world into action.
This new persecution is the result of the simultaneous revival of militant Islam in many countries. We can say that with confidence. What we can’t say, however, is that there is a co-ordinated Islamic plot to exterminate Christianity as a stepping stone to a universal caliphate.
Conspiracy theorists may derive emotional satisfaction from this idea, but it doesn’t correspond to the messy politics of the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia. Also, it lets the “Christian” West off the hook.
We have to confront the awkward fact that, for decades, some of the world’s most despicable dictators have protected indigenous Christians from Islamic mobs. When the West withdraws its support from these rulers, Christian minorities are exposed as never before.
The removal of Saddam has eviscerated Iraqi Christian churches so ancient that they still worship in Aramaic, the language of Jesus. The fall of Mubarak means that it’s open season on Copts. Those who can afford to do so may follow the example of Palestinian and Lebanese Christians and emigrate. A key statistic: 100 years ago, the Levant was 20 per cent Christian; now the figure is 5 per cent.
The British government, despite prodding by the heroic Lord Alton, is doing a good imitation of not giving a stuff about any of this. Maybe it’s guilt: Anglo-American policies helped liberate Islamism.
As for Western Christianity, some evangelical and Catholic campaigners are drawing attention to the persecution – but they’re undermined by colleagues. For many evangelicals, Iraqi or Syrian worshippers are not “real” Christians because they venerate icons. Lefty Catholics are too obsessed with climate change and benefit cuts to spare a thought for their martyred co-religionists.
Keep an eye on Syria after Assad goes. First they’ll come for the Alawites, then the Christians. There’s a real chance that all traces of Christianity will disappear from the very place where St Paul was knocked off his horse and blinded by a vision of the risen Christ. What a horrible piece of symmetry.
Catchphrases that drive you to despair
The Rev Dr Peter Mullen, a trenchantly conservative Anglican priest, announced this week that he was planning a funeral service for the English language. He realised it had died, he said, when Government ministers announced that they would “revisit their approach” to Syria.
That’s vile syntax, I agree. But even worse, surely, are the sick-making catchphrases parroted by our service industries. “Could you just fill in this form for me?” says every receptionist in the land. “Pop in your pin number for me,” chirps the shop assistant. There are times, you know, when I’m glad that I don’t have a constitutional right to bear arms.
Grenfell could spin a yarn
News that women are better than men at maintaining friendships will come as no surprise to fans of Joyce & Ginnie, the letters of Joyce Grenfell and Virginia Graham, edited by Janie Hampton.
The two ladies, both staunch Christian Scientists, were friends from 1917 until Joyce’s death in 1979, weeks before the New Year Honours in which she was to be made a dame. My goodness, she had a sharp eye, both for celebrity foibles and for everyday folk: at the Lowestoft show she is thrilled to spot “Miss Irwin, who plays the organ and spins her own wool from bits she collects off barbed wire”. Joyce also refers to drinking a “cupper” (sic) and makes jocular use of the word “innit”, though somehow I doubt that the teenagers on the top of my local bus picked it up from her.
Doublespeak from the Beeb
The BBC is refusing to put up a statue to George Orwell because he was “too Left-wing”, we discovered this week. Honestly, you couldn’t ask for a better demonstration of the corporation’s political naivety. Yes, Orwell was certainly on the Left – but he was the finest English essayist of the 20th century. Moreover, he had an unforgiving eye for the self-loathing whingers whom he encountered, among other places, at Broadcasting House.
If the BBC is worried about journalists who are too Left-wing, may I direct its attention, yet again, to Newsnight’s “impartial” economics editor, Paul Mason? He has been up to his old tricks, moaning that falling unemployment represents “recovery-less jobs” that are “great for those that got them”.
I don’t know whether George Orwell would have agreed with Mason’s old-fashioned socialist views – but he might have had something to say about a BBC reporter using the licence fee to propagate them.
Beware the sandal-clad bin-sniffers
Liberal Democrats are doing so badly in the polls that it’s possible the party may effectively cease to exist after the next election. That’s a delicious prospect, on the face of it. Imagine the blissful relief of never again having to listen to Simon Hughes gargling platitudes on the Today programme. But, on second thoughts, perhaps it’s not such a good idea. What will the nosey ninnies who currently belong to the party do with themselves? What if they turn feral? Do we really want posses of sandal-wearing vigilantes roaming our streets, fingers a-wag, sniffing round people’s bins to make sure that they’ve put the right category of rubbish in the appropriately coloured sack?

Islamophobic Hysteria Becomes Conventional Wisdom

By Andrew C. McCarthy

Calling the Arab Spring "radical" once made us Islamophobes. Now even the New York Times agrees.

It’s been quite a week to be the author of The Grand Jihad: How Islam and the Left Sabotage America.
My book was well received by the public and generously reviewed by some of the conservative press. In what passes for the “mainstream” media, however, it was mostly ignored and otherwise panned as Islamophobic hysteria. This was because the book had two themes that were deeply unpopular:
1. Islamic supremacism is not a fringe ideology, but instead an entirely mainstream interpretation of Islam that is followed by hundreds of millions of Muslims worldwide — the dominant Islam of the Middle East, and — whether a majority or a strong plurality — the dynamic Islam in the rest of the world today, including the West. Its chief proponents are the Saudi kingdom and the Muslim Brotherhood (Iran and its satellites compete with a Shiite version that is equally revolutionary, but there are vastly more Sunnis than Shiites). The Brotherhood rightly perceives itself as the intellectual vanguard of a global Islamic mass-movement with a ground-up strategy for Islamizing societies that prioritizes the implementation of sharia.
2. Islamists and Leftists are frequent collaborators. Though their disagreements are several and not trivial (e.g., women’s rights, gay rights, abortion), they are in harmony on basic, big-picture matters. Both ideologies are totalitarian in the sense of wanting centralized control of people’s lives, down to the small details; both elevate the good of the collective (or the ummah) over the individual; both are vigorously anti-capitalist (something most Americans still do not know about Islamist ideology); and neither can succeed in achieving its grand design without suppressing the liberties and self-determinism of the citizen.
On point 2, some objected to my use of the word sabotage in the subtitle. The word is not something I came up with, though. I was quoting an internal Muslim Brotherhoodmemorandum which described the Islamist mission in America as “eliminating and destroying Western civilization from within” by means of “sabotage” (to be precise, by “sabotaging” the “miserable house” that is “Western civilization”).
This concept of pretending one’s intentions are benign in order to bore into a society’s institutions and fundamentally to transform them from within mirrors the Alinsky-style community organizing favored by the hard Left. Given that Islamists admit (at least among themselves) that they are committing sabotage, and given their propensity to make common cause with Leftists who employ the same transform-from-within strategy, I do not think there is much merit in this objection to the word sabotage. Put a different way, I think the real objection is that I spotlighted something they would rather keep hidden.

OBAMA AND ISRAEL - No previous American president has had so strained a relationship with Israel as Barack HUSSEIN Obama.

From Will at The Other News:

No previous American president has had so strained a relationship with Israel as Barack Obama. As Israeli Ambassador

Michael Oren said in 2010, “Israel’s ties with the United States are in their worst crisis since 1975 … a crisis of historic proportions.” Author and scholar Dennis Prager concurred, “Most observers, right or left, pro-Israel or anti-Israel, would agree that Israeli-American relations are the worst they have been in memory.”

In the spring of 2011, David Parsons, spokesman for the International Christian Embassy
Jerusalem, said

“There’s a traditional, special relationship between America and Israel that Obama is basically throwing out the window in a sense.”

Former New York City mayor Ed Koch lamented

“I believe this is the most dangerous and critical period that Israel has ever faced and regrettably it does not have the support of the President of the United States, which in past difficult situations it could count on.”

David Rubin, a U.S.-born Israeli author and expert on the Middle East, put it this way

“President Obama is very harmful for Israel and very dangerous for the future of Judeo-Christian civilization.” The author and economist Thomas Sowellasserts that Obama’s relationship with Israel has been consistent with the president’s pattern of “selling out our allies to curry favor with our adversaries.”

Political analyst Charles Krauthammer observes
that Obama has “undermined” Israel as a result of either his “genuine antipathy”
toward the Jewish state or “the arrogance of a blundering amateur.” Meanwhile,
the Israeli populace remains jittery. According to a recent poll
commissioned by The Jerusalem Post, only 9 percent of Jewish Israelis
believe that the Obama administration is more pro-Israel than

What underlies these deep concerns about President Obama’s relationship with Israel? What accounts for the widespread perception that Obama is not seriously committed to protecting Israel’s welfare?

These questions are explored and answered in this report, which lays out Obama’s
words, actions, and key affiliations vis à vis Israel not only during his time
in the White House, but during the two decades preceding his presidency as well.

  1. Obama's longtime association with the anti-Semitic Jeremiah Wright.
  2. Obama's ties to Rashid Khalidi and the the Arab American Action Network.
  3. Obama's ties to Ali Abunimah, former vice president of the Arab American Action Network.
  4. Candidate Obama publicly criticizes Israel's conservative Likud Party.
  5. Candidate Obama's reluctance to publicly refer to terrorism against Israel.
  6. President-elect Obama chooses the leader of a Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated group to recite a prayer during his January 2009 inauguration.
  7. President Obama's first call to a foreign leader was to Palestinian Authority president Mahmoud Abbas.
  8. Obama's ties to the International Crisis Group, and their implications for Israel.
  9. Obama's ties to J Street.
  10. Obama appoints a pro-Sharia adviser.

Why Does Obama Have Anti-Israel Activists On His List of Rabbi Supporters?

Because, they are the only kind he likes?
[Yid With Lid]Note: I received a press release today from the Republican Jewish Coalition informing me that one of the Rabbis on the President's "Rabbis for Obama" list (Gottlieb) was an Anti-Israel activist. Over my lunchtime brisket sandwich from Bens, I decided to see if the President had any others like Rabbi Gottlieb on his list. Before I opened my can of Dr. Browns cream soda, I found eight more.
Earlier this week the Obama campaign announced the formation of “Rabbis For Obama," featuring over 600 rabbis from across the country and across all Jewish denominations dedicated to four more years of big government and anti-Israel policies.
The campaign didn’t bother to check the list, or simply didn’t care who was on it ,because at least eight of the Rabbis on the list are members of the Rabbinical Council of The Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP)--an organization named by the Anti-Defamation League as one of the 10 most anti-Israel organizations in America (I am sure their mothers are proud).

Why Would Anyone Think This Man Would Commit Voter Fraud?

Obama has millions of fake Twitter followers

President Obama's Twitter account has 18.8 million followers -- but more than half of them really don't exist, according to reports.
A new Web tool has determined that 70% of Obama's crowd includes "fake followers," The New York Timesreports in a story about how Twitter followers can be purchased.
"The practice has become so widespread that StatusPeople, a social media management company in London, released a Web tool last month called the Fake Follower Check that it says can ascertain how many fake followers you and your friends have," the Times reports.
"Fake accounts tend to follow a lot of people but have few followers," said Rob Waller, a founder of StatusPeople. "We then combine that with a few other metrics to confirm the account is fake."

And this is the LA Times, as ‘progressive’ as you can go…
Next week, Egypt’s Islamist president, Mohamed Morsi, will visit China at the invitation of President Hu Jintao. He will seek investments there that will enable Egypt to “dispense of loans and aid,” according to Morsi’s party vice chairman. From China, Morsi will travel to Tehran to attend the Non-Aligned Movement summit. Just two months after coming to power, Morsi is pursuing a rapprochement with Tehran and articulating a newfound ambition to jettison billions in U.S. foreign assistance dollars and financing from Western financial institutions. Taken together, these steps suggest that Morsi’s Egypt may be headed for a foreign policy shift rivaling the scope of President Anwar Sadat’s expulsion of the Soviets in 1972 and subsequent reorientation to the West.
I hear Roy Orbison singing…..
If any of these nations whose nationalist socialist experiments have now failed resists the next fall into some form of nascent caliphate-ism I will be rocked to the core.
The main beneficiaries of the Arab Spring are the children of Sayd Qutb.
Hillary take note.
