Mrs. Obama humiliating Melania NOW instead of when would have been more normal, soon after Melania gave the Tiffany box to Mrs. Obama on inauguration day. It’s timing…the right timing for this ‘revelation’ was now, apparently, not when it all went down and the media was clamoring for what was in the Tiffany Box. And the ugliness goes from one Trump to another, and it’s concerted….ABC, NBC, CNN, all say the same memes, all about Eric Trump. Then a few days later, his wife. Then Donald Jr, everybody weighing in on the same things…then Tiffany Trump….then Ivanka and Jared…..odd that all channels harp on one at a time…..they GOT THE MEMO, TRUST ME! They lay off Baron only a little more because there’s kind of an unwritten rule about young presidential kids, but he’s suffered his bumps, too.

Sure, they slam Trump…(again, who the heck kept that tape from Access Hollywood from about 10 years ago and why?), they do the normal slamming of his political decisions, though much worse than I’ve seen it in my whole life other than Nixon, maybe?...

Either there’s a concerted effort or the Left is having a meltdown of desperation. I can’t tell which because I’m so fed up with the Enemedia that I avoid watching and reading too much of what the Left is advocating. Too much going on here on the home front! We’re again caught in the medical loop because Mr. AOW needs all sorts of pre-op tests for cataract surgery during the busiest quarter of the school term.

Anyway, back to your observations, Z….You could well be correct. I just asked Mr. AOW; he agrees with you, and he’s usually spot on because he watches more TV news than I do.

How the Dems behaved during the SOTU was horrible. And they and those who align with them think that the Dems are on the moral high road to save our republic. Pffffffft.

Another Deafening Silence From the Enemedia

For those who care about press rights in America, President Trump’s words last week were stunning and disturbing.

The news media is not merely “scum,” as he has said many times before, but now “the enemy of the American People.”

This tweeted pronouncement, with its authoritarian echoes, came soon after Trump’s vow to stamp out the unauthorized flow of intelligence-community information to journalists. “I’ve actually called the Justice Department to look into the leaks,” he said. “Those are criminal leaks.”

Add up these two elements and you get a troubling question: Will the Trump administration’s crackdown on leaks include journalists as well as their sources?

Some knowledgeable lawyers and academics say it’s unlikely.

“Right now, it’s a deviant practice, certainly not in the ordinary course of business, to subpoena a journalist,” said David Pozen, a Columbia University law professor who wrote the landmark study “The Leaky Leviathan: Why the Government Condemns and Condones Unlawful Disclosures of Information.”

But, Pozen told me: “If we’re in a new paradigm, that could change.”

That such things are changing already was evident in Trump’s statement, quoted above, about making an assignment for Justice Department officials — who, after all, are supposed to operate with a measure of independence, choosing their own cases, not as corporate functionaries reporting to the chief executive.

As for a new paradigm, it — or something else quite weird — was on full display in that news conference in which Trump hardly stopped attacking the assembled news media.

When someone made a complete fool of himself in a dismaying manner, my grandmother, a feisty woman who hailed from the hills of East Tennessee, declared: "He really showed his tail."

On Fox News Sunday on February 19, 2017, Chris Wallace was in a state of high dudgeon:


Hey, Chris! Such a state of high dudgeon is warranted only when the Trump administration takes action against these fake-news "journalists."

Trump's words declaring that certain of the media are an enemy of the people are not action.

And, Chris, "methinks that thou dost protest too much."

President-elect Trump invited the Pope for lunch on his mega yacht.
The Pope accepted and during lunch, a puff of wind blew the Pontiff's hat off, right into the water.

It floated off about 50 feet, then the wind died down and it just floated in place.

The crew and the secret service were scrambling to launch a boat to go get it, when Trump waved them off, saying, "Never mind, boys, I'll get it."

The Donald climbed over the side of the yacht, walked on the water to the hat, picked it up, walked back on the water, climbed into the yacht, and handed the Pope his hat.

The crew was speechless. The security team and the Pope's entourage were speechless.

No one knew what to say, not even the Pope.

But that afternoon, NBC, CBS, ABC, MSNBC, CNN reported:

"TRUMP CAN'T SWIM!"

Trump's Press Conference. Jarring!

Pod people are being created.  Hordes of them.

Last night and this morning, I watched some of CNN's and MSNBC's coverage of yesterday's press conference held by Trump.

CNN and MSNBC are bizarrely disconnected from what really transpired.

At one point on MSNBC's "Morning Joe," Mika Brzezinski (and the daughter of Zbigniew Kazimierz Brzezinski), the woman on the anchor desk, rolled her eyes to the heavens as she said the word "President." Following by a sigh, of course,

What alarms me is how many Americans will never actually watch the press conference. They'll just assume that Trump is unhinged because CNN and MSNBC have said so. These same Americans avoid Fox News like the plague. Not that some on Fox News aren't circling like sharks, too.

And you can bet that Trump is being excoriated this morning in classrooms all over the country — middle school through graduate level. And not only in social studies classes. English classes will also be infested with these "discussions."

President Trump is being presented as "unhinged" and unfit to be President. The same is coming from many supposedly on the Right: David Brooks and Michael Gerson, just to name two examples.

Watch your back.  At your workplace and at home.

Saudi Activists Cancel Women 'Drive-in' Plan

AL JAZEERA: A planned driving campaign has been cancelled after the government threatened legal action against the women involved.

Activists pressing to end Saudi Arabia's ban on women driving have dropped plans for a "drive-in" on Saturday after threats of legal action and have opted instead for an open-ended campaign.

"Out of caution and respect for the interior ministry's warnings ... we are asking women not to drive tomorrow and to change the initiative from an October 26 campaign to an open driving campaign," activist Najla al-Hariri told AFP news agency on Friday.

Several women said they had received telephone calls from the ministry, which openly warned on Thursday of measures against activists who chose to participate and asked them to promise not to drive on Saturday.

CBS News has yet to update the story on the CBS site, where the outdated version is still on the web site's first page as a lead story.

No mention of the cancellation in the Washington Post (Associated Press) either.

And same goes for CNN.

The gunman intended to kill his ex-girlfriend but as she wasn’t there, so he continued on to the movie theater next door where he fired on panicked moviegoers, sending them to the exits, and ducking for cover.

Witnesses said the shooting reminded them of the Dark Knight theater massacre last July that killed 12 people and injured 58 in Aurora, Colo.

The story was covered locally, but seeing as it happened just one day after the Sandyhook massacre in Connecticut, you would think it would have gotten more airplay in the MSM. Don’t stories like this one play right into their anti-gun hands?

No – not this one....

Fake Photos Promote Sympathy For Pseudostinians

Photos such as the one above are all over the front pages of the mainstream-media newspapers, thereby promoting hatred of Israel.

Once once people have seen those photos, particularly photos of dead children, getting those images out of people's minds. What's more, the photos override anything that those of us who know better tell these people, whose minds have been imprinted with a lie.

Remember the impact of "If the glove doesn't fit, you must acquit" at the trial of O.J. Simpson?  Same principle!  A picture is indeed worth a thousand words.  Particularly a picture with a caption.

Artur Davis, a black American; Mia Love, a black candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives from Utah; and Texas senatorial hopeful Ted Cruz, a Latino American, MSNBC opted to show commentary anchored by Rachel Maddow from Rev. Al Sharpton, Ed Schultz, Chris Matthews, Chris Hayes and Steve Schmidt.

Racism on the part of MSNBC?

Determination to continue painting the GOP as the political party of nothing but "white guys"?

Guy Adams, this newspaper's Los Angeles correspondent, was removed from the social networking site on the day that he wrote a news story detailing widespread public complaints about the network's coverage of the London Games.

According to Twitter, he was suspended for a message posted during the Opening Ceremony, when NBC prevented viewers of America from watching live coverage, so that the network could screen the occasion during an evening prime-time slot coveted by advertisers....

Advertisers, huh? Just who ARE those advertisers?

Of course, NBC's response has been one of "We didn't do it. TWITTER did it."

According to Guy Adams, NBC has "a relationship" with Twitter.

The mainstream media certainly glossed over the story.  Maybe I missed the coverage?  I've been quite busy with end-of-schoolterm matters.

Indeed it is, but if the Main Stream Media were to widely distribute this planned suicide attack it would cause Americans to question the true meaning of Islam itself. If you read THIS by Bill Ayers, you'll see that the Occupy Wall Street Movement has a big tent. Excerpt:

They have taken bailouts from taxpayers with impunity, and continue to give Executives exorbitant bonuses.

I read excerpts from the list to a conservative friend the other day. She gasped! In her words, "Well, there is a lot there that I agree with."

It's no surprise that the mainstream media are promoting Occupy Wall Street.

But...

if the group manages to get out a big-tent theme, people who wouldn't ordinarily join in WILL join in.

Brush fires of discontent are popping up all over the place. From the Left, the Right, and the Center.

On this Fathers' Day 2011, all morning one of our local news channels as been referring to Obama as "Father-In-Chief."
