Listening to Obama making his statement
Obama will ensure a default no matter what is offered short of all he demands in order to blame the republicans for it.
Precisely as he locked out the vets from the memorials (yet managed to allow an immigration rally on a close park land), threw old people out of their homes, and engineered ANY situation to inflict the maximum harm on the people so as to make his pique felt.
When the president of the USA can characterize Americans who happen to be republicans as extremists, kidnappers, and arsonists, AND EXTORTIONISTS and LIE outright over the idea that raising the debt limit will not increase the debt (otherwise WHY INCREASE IT?) .. then there really is no basis to think that there is any chance for compromise.
Hold onto your cash and stop all spending.

It is HIS leadership that is failing.
