Troubles here

I'm not posting this information at Always On Watch because I'll be out of the loop for at least week and unable to respond beginning Wednesday @ 9:00 A.M., EDT.

I will be having surgery for retinal detachment.

Left eye.

My dominant eye. But no more.

It's too late to preserve 20/20 vision: the macula is already affected.

Following surgery, I am required to remain face down for 45 minutes of every hour, 24/7, for at least a week.  Eye surgery recovery chair:

If the doctor gives the okay, I may set up something like this:

If you can stand to watch it, here's a video of the surgery I'll be having:

I will have very limited web presence until the doctor releases me to use the computer.

Prayers for you, Gal.

Prayers are needed.

Drugs are needed too.

I pray for successful surgery and quick recovery. But even more, I pray you have plenty of outside help to help keep up with the mundane daily tasks so your households routine stays sane!

All the best HRW

Thanks, all!

The chair is very uncomfortable after about 15 minutes. **sigh**

Drugs will DEFINITELY be needed, Pasto!

HRW, starting on Sunday, the homeschool group is taking care of bringing food. My friend Sharon has moved in to be MY caregiver -- and Mr. AOW's too, of course. She will not have time to cook!

Catch you guys on the other side of my recovery period.

If I were your Doctor, I would prescribe Morphine.
