MIRIAM CAREY
KILLED?
Why did police feel the need to fire several dozen shots (according to witnesses) at an unarmed 34 year old mother?
If she was shot while the car was still moving that's one thing.
But if she had exited the vehicle they almost certainly could have seen she was unarmed. And police couldn't have subdued her without lethal force?
If she was still in the vehicle, and it no longer had any place it could go, why are they pouring that kind of firepower on it without knowing what was going on or who was inside?
There was a young child in there for heaven's sake.
The only folks with guns here were the police.
And now a mother of one is dead and it is a miracle the child wasn't hurt.
So what is really going on here.
Just some thoughts to chew over while I'm at work. Things I think need to be asked and answered because what we know so far doesn't make sense.

I am pretty sure this is the DC cop who sustained extensive injuries and had to be hospitalized.
Why did he do such a stupid thing?
Did he not know the barrier was there? Could he not see it?
Who could he have been chasing, if there was a barrier there anyway?
That article not only says her SISTER was a NYC Cop, but it also says SHE SUSTAINED A HEAD INJURY AFTER A FALL DOWN THE STAIRS at work awhile back.
She had to go on disability for awhile after the head injury.
HEAD INJURY.
I think that's probably a good deal of the story right there.
Reports are now that the the woman was UNARMED, and there were no arms in the vehicle.
anyone care to imagine the volume of lawyers looking for her family right now?

Hell maybe Zimmerman was around.
Let the comedy begin.
It's all so stupid.
all these acts are committed by people who should have been identified by the medical community.
But we don't yet have the OBJECTIVE TOOLS to identify these people.
We should be debating this, not GUN CONTROL.
My point exactly. SHE WAS NO LONGER AN IMMEDIATE THREAT TO THE PRESIDENT NOR CONGRESS.
Whereas Zimmerman was tried for murder in an obvious case of self defense when an unarmed man was killed by an armed man.
Substitute unarmed woman killed by armed cop.
They didn't even pour that much firepower on Tsarnaev in the boat.
So why was this outcome necessary?
My thinking is something "snaped". She wanted to maybe have a word with Obama (since she was unarmed), realized after ramming the gate she had made a bad decision, got scared and ran. She didn't go to the Capitol on purpose, that's just where the chase led. The more scared she got, for both her and her child's safety, the more she tried to get away.
That there was an overwhelming response is sorta understandable. That they had to shoot her is not.
I've expressed concern before about the militarization of American police. We saw it when they laid siege to a small town look for one injured bomber.
Now this.
When, had she lived, we might have been able to find out what in the hell was going through her head.

The encounter led to Carey being taken for a mental-health evaluation.

Rumor has it, her daughter's (Erica) father was significantly older and employed within the White House and that’s why she was trying to ram the gates. Lost her job, no money, way off her rocker, so hell to pay. What if that Secret Service agent recognized her? Why didn’t they shoot her tires out - cuz this needed to all go away for some reason. She thought her baby might be her protection, but she was very wrong. How’s that for a theory?

Clyde Lewis was having a cow last night on his show. Plus, the damage to the woman's car and the damage to the cop's car are incomparable. This thing smells.
Something is wrong with the fundamentals of our mental heath services, even when people who could be dangerous are being treated.
We have no way to discern wacky and harmless from wacky and ready to act.
Of course the danger is that one fine day an administration like this could define those who profess to the 2nd amendment's value, and profess willingness to defend it, by placing themselves against overwhelming odds and the might of the federal govt are wacky and ready to act.
Now isn't that paranoid?
Of course the next question is, IS THAT PARANOID ENOUGH?
