It means chaos in the Ukraine (Crimean peninsula is in Ukraine) is increasing. It means Russia will feel more and more pressure to act in what was Russia for a LONG time. It means we will complain and the EU will complain but do nothing, if for no other reason that they are as inconveniently placed as was Poland in 1939, but also because we have neither the will nor the means anymore AND we lack the credibility to rattle our sabers and cause any pause.

Ukraine wanted into NATO a few years back and all we had to do was say YES.
