Bono Flying Through The Sky After Door Falls Off Lear Jet
Hmm:
Germout Freitag, official at the German Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation, told ABC News that, “The Learjet lost a door where the luggage was put in.”
Officials were extremely confused as to why the door flew off, assuming that it was either due to an incorrectly closing or a rupture.
According to NBC News, there were no injuries among the passengers, but two pieces of luggage were lost.
The pilots were only aware of the missing door after the plane had landed.
Considering the fact that the storage bin is located at the back of the plane and disconnected from the pressurized cabin, there was no noticeable damage when the door was detached.

Reuters: Two hurt as man pulls knife at CT Navy base
Two U.S. Navy civilian police officers were injured on Thursday outside a submarine base in Connecticut after a belligerent man pulled a knife near an entrance, military officials said.
The suspect got into a scuffle with an officer and pulled the knife outside the New London naval submarine base in Groton around 7 p.m., base spokesman Chris Zendan said.
Two other officers responded to the incident and one suffered a ricochet injury after a colleague fired his pistol, Zendan said, while another received a minor stab wound to the leg.
Both were treated in a nearby hospital and released later.
NavyTimes: "Officials say the suspect has been taken into custody. He was not injured. His name has not yet been released."
MaineNewsOnline has more:
"Zendan said, "The shots were not warning shots. They were fired by a Navy Civilian Police Officer who perceived a threat from a belligerent civilian suspect allegedly brandishing a knife".
Zendan stated that the suspect did not receive any injuries and was immediately taken into custody by Groton police. The suspect will stay under the custody of the Naval Criminal Investigation Service.
Police, navy and FBI officials are investigating the whole incident, he added. He also said that presently they have no clues about the intentions of the suspect.
Groton Town Police Lt. Brian Dawson said that police has shifted the suspect to L+M for observation. Dawson said that any charges against the suspect will be brought by the Naval Criminal Investigative service. The NCIS as of now has not released the name of the suspect.
Dawson said that Navy Judge Advocate General (JAG) Corps officers were brought to the scene to determine jurisdiction. They confirmed that the incident happened entirely on the Naval property, he said.
Connecticut State Police has also responded to the incident. It was found that there were numerous police cruisers and officers at the main entrance on Crystal Lake Road off Route 12, near the Nautilus Museum.
Officer.com provides additional details:
"According to the official, the man appeared belligerent and was "speaking nonsense," attempting to walk through a gate meant for vehicles. When an officer tried to steer him toward the pedestrian entrance the man then accosted the officer, brandishing a knife. A third officer discharged a shot, accidentally causing injury to another officer involved in the dispute."
WTNH.com offers the standard information...however the comments are very consistent and interesting:
"Warning shots??? Apparently the Security personnel have not been properly trained. You shoot to stop the action of the perpetrator if justified. You don't shoot warning shots that have the potential of striking responding personnel or innocent bystanders. Poor decision and tactics. Can't wait for the full investigation to be completed and released. Should be interesting." - AC
