Aljazeera reported:
There's a possibility this may have been co-ordinated with Egypt, as Saudi leaders met with Egyptian President al-Sisi just yesterday.A “limited” number of ground troops have deployed in Yemen’s second city Aden to support loyalist militia fighters, according to reports quoting Yemeni sources.Yemeni officials said at least 20 Arab coalition troops landed in the southern port city on Sunday on a “reconnaissance” mission. The coalition has been conducting an air war against Iran-allied Shia Houthi fighters since March 26, but this is the first reported ground deployment inside the Arabian Peninsula country
“A limited coalition force entered Aden and another force is on its way” to the city, AFP news agency quoted the official, who requested anonymity, as saying.A leading member of the Popular Committees, a locally recruited militia loyal to exiled President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi, told AFP the force “will start helping us in fighting” the Houthis.
Egyptian ground troops in Yemen may be just around the corner.
