All of us, every single man, woman, and child on the face of the Earth were born with the same unalienable rights; to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. And, if the governments of the world can't get that through their thick skulls, then, regime change will be necessary.

Yes, it's over. The people who built this country are gone. The puritan work ethics are gone. Also, with the fall of the Soviet Union, the balance it exerted on Capitalistic forces was also gone, and the sky became the limit for all the negative forces unrestricted ambition and greed the new social and financial scene offered.
All the while, our senses were lulled by the comforts and false security the American dream had offered, and we remained silent as our world was being taken away.
And the blows come from where you least expect it. Today my priest criticized the "hatred" American feel for refugees. I wanted to get up and leave. Instead, I decided to send him a note telling him about the disfavor he is doing to the community and the country. People don't hate. They just want newcomers to integrate and not to impose their values (or lack of it) on our society. Why doesn't he worry more about the millions of Christians being persecuted and NOT offered refuge?

We cannot get the genie back in the bottle.
