Protester Tries To Set Flag On Fire, Lights Himself And Other Protesters On Fire, No Confirmation Yet on Whether or Not It Was Ted Cruz

LATER IN THE EVENING, TED CRUZ, ESSENTIALLY, DID THE SAME THING TO HIS CAREER

I don't know how you feel, but this guy has made himself my personal enemy.

If you have been a party man all your life and cannot respect the party's decision, then you don't speak at the party's national convention. Trump was not my first or fourth choice, but he is the party's choice according the primary and the party rules. I respect the party's decision and am glad to not be a Democrat.

I don't really agree with you, Pete.

Trump is not the candidate of the Republican Party. They had to be dragged kicking and screaming to do the will of the American people.

I hope the GOP disappears from history.

Cruz reminds me of Obama - a real smooth talker (albeit, without the need for a teleprompter) - making every event between himself and his presumed constituents about himself and his direct family. He could have mentioned the grieving 9 year old girl's name, but didn't. He could have clearly stated that voters should vote Republican, but didn't. Cruz spoke most specifically about himself, his father and mother and continued with his GOPe failed agenda of "voting your conscience" (the repeatedly failed efforts to unleash delegates) - very telling, indeed.

Cruz heralded the demise of his own political career last night. He is not liked inside the Beltway. And his lack of support for the nominee shows a lack of character. I doubt he will be considered as a SCOTUS appointee after his braying last night to "vote your conscience".

Throw the Bush, Romney and Kasich family into the simmering pot with Cruz too. There is a Biblical principle to give honor where honor is due, respect where respect is due. Donald Trump worked his ass off and took the nomination fair and square. There are no trophies for "participation" to keep self esteem at a high. All can participate but only one individual becomes the nominee.

Self respect should go a long way. How can the Gang of Four look in the mirror and respect themselves? The Bush dynasty has certainly had their day in the sun. Romney ran, and as Trump said, "choked like a dog". Kasich had a poor showing. Apparently, these egotistical beasts cannot rejoice with the next generation of leadership.
