Today is a good day to review my post from May 2016:
Over and over, Karl Rove and his various mouthpieces have declared:And, today, Donald J. Trump is the President elect!
"Donald Trump will not be the nominee."
Back in October, I tried to tell one of the inner circle (an individual whom I will not, at this point, name):
"If you don't get out in front of this right now and put up a candidate who addresses the issues that the peasants beyond the moat care about, Donald Trump will take the party right out from under you."
I was told more than once in the hours long meeting:
"We must remain tethered to reality."
Here's your reality, Karl et al,...
Donald Trump is the 2016 GOP nominee.
Hey, Karl, can you hear me now?

I hear chirping...of crickets...wonder when they will pull their heads out of the ground...the ONLY debt, DJT owes, Ryan, is this...by flip-flopping and waffling and refusing to back, Trump, Ryan left the door open to those who despise his political games and pandering to obama. The peasants beyond the moat have spoken...and we have declared LOUD AND CLEAR our disdain and dislike of political insiders!
So, kr and crew, GO GET REAL JOBS! Contribute to the economy and QUIT BLOVIATING!

I can hardly think of any politican who has more disappointed me, or made ME feel dupe, than Paul Ryan.
He should recognize his position, his error and retreat to representing his district as best he can, and trouble us on the national stage NO MORE.
If the people of that district want him back in two years that's up to them, but as for me, I do not want him in ANY position of influence.
He has MADE HIS ERROR
I could never understand why FOX kept Rove as an oracle, well after the popular dislike for GOP elite became manifest.
Rove is a pompous ass, convinced of his knowledge, and does not represent anything we care about. By praising Ryan he is trying to save his own ass and that of his masters: the Bushes, and the other truly despicable Republicans.
Rove is the one who brought Middle Eastern money and influence to the GOP.
Karl has gone dark on his Twitter feed. My guess is he has left New York and is back to hiding out in Texas. Time for ole Karl to be put out to pasture.
"The other guy" probably had an article in the queue for NY Times on how Trump has destroyed the GOP. Shredder. All of his deplorable backstabbing articles deriding those who supported Trump can also go in "the shredder".
As an aside (and not one who is big on the concept of Christian destiny) I have begun referring to Trump as God's threshing machine. A lot of chaff is gonna find its way out of Washington. I hope Paul Ryan is one of the first to be thrashed.... errr, threshed.

Pasto,
Thank you for your restraint.
His Twitter feed hasn't updated. I hope that he's replaying what I told him over and over again -- even as he is fitfully sleeping.
TMW,
Yes, they need to get real jobs instead of sitting around in their well-salaried think tank positions, where they are sitting in their ivory towers.
Anonymous,
Rove is the one who brought Middle Eastern money and influence to the GOP.
Bingo!
"The other guy" has gone three days without a Tweet. Perhaps he is thinking about what you shared with him. Or perhaps he is reminded of what you said because of Paul Ryan, who admitted today that Donald Trump heard the voices that they could not hear. I contend the GOP heard, but ignored. There is a difference.
I believe Donald Trump's first one hundred days in office will set historic precedents regarding reinvigorated foreign and domestic policy initiatives.
Tammy
The GOP heard all right.
But after all, the troglodytes can have no professional expertise to rule, can they?
