So, I read that headline on Yahoo News this morning, and I thought to myself,
"Wait, the first Press Conference, wasn't that the one where Sean Spicer argued that the media had gotten the numbers wrong on how many people attended the Inauguration? How could that put any lives at risk? Impossible! They couldn't think that, right?"
NO, THEY COULD, THEY DID, AND THEY MADE THE ARGUMENT FOR THE WHOLE WORLD TO SEE!
From Yahoo News:
The first full day of the new U.S. presidency was a "catastrophic" moment for President Donald Trump in terms of media relations, an analyst told CNBC.
Press secretary Sean Spicer told journalists summoned to an impromptu press conference in the White House Saturday that the media had distorted figures on how many people attended the inauguration ceremony.
Kellyanne Conway, counselor to the President, told NBC's Meet the Press on Sunday that the Spicer's statement contained " alternative facts. "
"(Trump) had a catastrophic first weekend when it comes to media coverage," Brian Klaas , fellow in comparative politics at the London School of Economics told CNBC on Monday. "
The first press moment they had from the White House podium, the four or five statements made were lies and they're easily provable lies."
Spicer said that about 72,000 people attended the ceremony but that nobody had official figures.
Several U.S. media used photos from 2009's inauguration of President Barack Obama to show that there were fewer people on Friday.
The New York Times described the White House statements as a "striking display of invective and grievance at the dawn of a presidency".
According to Klaas, taking such an approach by the new presidency brought into question the credibility associated with the institution and "puts American lives at risk because during a crisis you don't know you can trust the White House and that's really dangerous for the West."Thing is, THE MEDIA DID LIE ABOUT THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE WHO ATTENDED THE INAUGURATION.
And, even if Spicer did get it wrong, who gives a fuck? I mean, like,
OH NO, SEAN SPICER DISAGREED WITH THE MEDIAI THE SKY IS FALLING! THE SKY IS FALLING!
I think this may be the single most hysterical thing I have ever seen out of the Media.
Am I right?

"Yahoo" news. LOL. Just a repeater for NY Times, the used-to-be Paper of Record. Now it is just "The Carlos Slimes".
As stated and illustrated below in an earlier thread - the media has an anti-Trump agenda which is clearly exposed by CNN's own gigapixel image of the inauguration attendance defying CNN's suggestion of low attendance numbers.

Thank you, Anonymous.
I had forgotten to put that link in when I created the post this morning.
Thanks for reminding me.
I expect a great crescendo in media screeching -- including hyperbole.
This is fucking amazing. EVEN RIGHT NOW they are arguing with Spicer about the size of the audience on Friday. And at the CIA speech.
Fucking morons.
MR,
I'm watching today's press briefing, too.
I don't know how Spicer can keep himself under control as well as he's doing.
