Facebook is Taking Orders From the Interior Minister of Pakistan

Robert Spencer told this story about Joel Kaplan, of Facebook:

Did you know that just a couple of months ago the Vice President of Facebook, Joel Kaplan, traveled to Islamabad? He met with high Pakistani government officials, most notably Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, the Interior Minister of Pakistan, and he assured the Pakistani Government that Facebook would remove all material that was considered blasphemous in Islam. This is yet another story that was not reported in the Western press. I found it in the Pakistani press. They were happy about it. Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan was there saying, “We explained to Mr. Kaplan that the Islamic religion is the number one thing important to us, and we do not, we cannot stand for seeing it insulted.” That all sounds like maybe you could understand his point of view until you realize that counter-terror analysis is considered to be insulting to Islam when it discusses the motivating ideology behind the jihad threat, and Facebook has signed on to that.
Mallory Millet who writes for American Thinker asked Robert if he thought Kaplan was also in fear of his life -- this was the Interior Minister of Pakistan he was talking to -- if he didn't agree. Robert said that's quite possible. Who knows what Ali Khan intimated off the record, about Kaplan (who from his name is Jewish) and his family. How far up is this terrorizing going, does it stop with Pam Geller being threatened with beheading, with Robert being poisoned in Iceland? Does Facebook do enough business with Pakistan that considerations were only economic? It's another level of intimidation to be concerned about. How high up does the cowardice and submission go?

Have never had a FB account. They own the platform.

Had a man in Pakistan tell me recently he could not access my WP site. He is in Lahore. So there is censorship beyond Facebook. (He was able to access via a direct link sent to him from one post. I do know that for sure.)
