Notre Dame is French for Our Lady and is a Catholic name for the Virgin Mary, Mother of God who gave birth to Jesus.
Omar instead described how art and architecture connect people, denigrating Notre Dame as an art museum.”Art and architecture have a unique ability to help us connect across our differences and bring people together in important ways. Ok so I was wrong about too soon.
Even Mahmoud Abbas (may he rot) mentioned The Cathedral by name.

Muslims have still not claimed credit for this.
Sure, they have celebrated it.
But not claimed credit.
Which edifice better represents the France of the 21st century: The Eiffel Tower or the burned over hulk of Notre Dame?
Besides, there can be church higher than a mosque, no spire taller than a minaret in Dar-al-Islam.
I can't imagine that ISIS (or whoever) will claim credit -- whether they were behind this or not.
Here's a question....How many of the innovators on the job at Notre Dame were Middle Easterners?
