Kurt Volker, who resigned recently as the U.S. Special Representative to Ukraine at the State Department, testified today before a House committee as to the Trump-Ukraine phone call and whether there was any quid pro quo involved. But from the information coming out, it doesn’t appear to be anything like the Democrats originally pitched it and it doesn’t appear to help their impeachment narrative at all. Here are the comments from people coming out of the testimony. Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) said on Kurt Volker testimony: “Not one thing he has said comports any of the Democrats’ impeachment narrative. Not one thing.”
#NEW: .@Jim_Jordan on Fmr Ukraine envoy's congressional testimony today: "First of all, Amb. Volker, unbelievably knowledgeable about what was going on in Ukraine.... But not one thing he has said comports with any of the Democrats impeachment narrative."pic.twitter.com/MQdYnwcEY6— Jennifer Franco (@jennfranconews) October 3, 2019
Rep. @Jim_Jordan: "We've never seen a chairman suggest that members aren't allowed to ask questions, so if this is how Mr. Schiff is going to conduct these type of interviews in the future, that's a concern." pic.twitter.com/WFiJxv8hok— The Hill (@thehill) October 3, 2019
