Ya' think being a "black female" (minority) opened many doors for her during the era of affirmative action? How many white Jewish girls got passed over for the white/black Jewish girl to receive education, scholarships and (tenured) professorship?
Anyone who writes a book and states they cannot name their ancestors in Angola and Brazil "for their safety" is suspect.
