A Small Gain For Our Side

US Representative Sue Myrick (who we have written about here and here) has been selected by House Leadership to serve on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.

“With my work on anti-terrorism issues, I’m excited to have been selected to serve on such an esteemed committee,” Rep. Myrick said. “I look forward to working with my colleagues to ensure the safety of the American public by providing the intelligence community with the proper resources and oversight it needs to effectively execute its goals.” Rep. Myrick is the founder and co-chair of the House Anti-Terrorism Caucus.

Rep. Myrick was selected for the committee by House Minority Leader John Boehner.

“Representative Myrick has shown herself to be committed to issues related to the intelligence community, and I know that she will be a great asset to the committee,” said Leader Boehner.

Something to be Thankful For

The Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations, a pro-Muslim lobby named as an unindicted co-conspirator in one of the largest terror-funding cases ever brought by the U.S. government, continues to operate even though it no longer exists as a corporate entity, according to a lawyer suing the organization.

So What's the Cure?

Back in early September, there was a short post called "If Islam is an Infection, What's the Cure?" and many of us weighed in with good answers. I thought I'd post a follow-up edited summary of the answers. I tried to make this as short as possible (and failed miserably)"

Franklin Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln would say, beating the hell out of them physically, and then forcing them to change mentally by changing their laws, institutions and way of life from the top down. I side with Lincoln on this one...I think the mental game is won by force of law. Sharia is sedition. The penalty for sedition should be death or deportment to a Muslim country of the prisoner's choice. The reason we are not truly having success in Iraq is because we did not fight this war the way we fought Japan, Germany, and the American South."

However, we may be able to westernize and demilitarize any terrorist-supporting Islamic countries if we force them into unconditional surrender and we make them except the separation of Mosque and state in a written Constitution. In the meantime to the best of our ability, shutting down all the madrassas and replacing everything from their school textbooks to their television programs with ones that support things like freedom of religion and freedom of conscience, deprogramming the demoralized population.

This may seem harsh and undemocratic, but for survival reasons it has to be done. Islam IS different than other religions. It's worth taking the time to develop the most important skill you can have in this battle at this time (unless you are a soldier): The ability to effectively influence your fellow citizens."

To a point, yes, as it was the given that their was an Us and Them attitude around the home. In my opinion, we start throwing them out by enforcing our laws against sedition. If we give them the option of either the death penalty or deportation to a Sharia state of their choice, then good for them. They get to live under Sharia. And, good for us, we're done with them.

Enforce the law, see who complains and then expel those people as well.

Rinse and repeat.

I saw a documentary on the History Channel a while back called "The Ku Klux Klan: A Secret History," It was very interesting. The program talked about the hate group's origins and history. It answers your questions perfectly. One of the things that helped to marginalize the klan is the same thing we are doing right here and right now to defeat the Islamists, educating people about them, letting outsiders know how they think, their goals and their motives.

Also if you're interested they made another Program called "Nazi America: A Secret History" It was about Neo Nazis. Both programs may teach us a thing or two about how to deal with Islamic fanatics. However we have to keep in mind that just because a tactic worked against Klansmen or Nazis, doesn't necessarily mean it will work when dealing with Islam-o-Fascists. But you could still watch either program to get some good ideas."

Emerson showed an interview clip where a Jihadi says "no, I don't know anything about that," and he immediately afterward, he showed articles or speeches by that same Jihadi calling for jihad!"

One Small Victory For Defenders of Freedom

As Muslim Student Association (MSA) chapters have become increasingly influential at universities and colleges around the country, critics have charged that it is a hate group that sympathizes with the international jihad and promulgates an anti-American and anti-Semitic ideology in its campus actions. In response, the MSA has claimed that it is merely another religious and cultural group similar to Hillel, a club for Jewish students, or the Newman Club for Catholics. That deception has been now unmasked at the University of Southern California, where the school’s Provost, Chrysostomos L. Max Nikias, reacting to a call from the David Horowitz Freedom Center and the Simon Wiesenthal Center, has ordered the campus MSA to remove a “despicable” hadith calling for Muslims to murder Jews as a condition for redemption from its website.

David Horowitz, President of the Freedom Center, hails this as a breakthrough moment when the double standards that control the political and intellectual culture of most universities have finally been challenged. “Up to now, the slightest criticism of radical Islam on campus has been slammed as ‘Islamophobia,’ while Muslim groups and their radical fellow travelers have been allowed to say the most hateful things imaginable about Christians and Jews without any reaction from university administrators whatsoever,” Horowitz says. “Provost Nikias has called the hadith on the MSA website for what it is: despicable. Given the atmosphere that prevails on most campuses today, it was an act of integrity on his part to make this call and to demand that the MSA live up to basic standards of civility that should govern the university.”

This is an example of what we will see more and more as we influence the people around us. The more widespread the understanding of the uniqueness of Islam, the easier it will be to refuse any concessions to Muslim encroachments.

Stop Telling Me To Keep An Open Mind!

I am not interested in keeping an "open mind" about the the people who want to kill me, kill my family and destroy my entire culture.

I am not interested in keeping an open mind about a religion that openly declares our only options are conversion to Islam, subjugation by Islam, or death at the hand of Islam.

I am not interested in keeping an "open mind" about the partisans in our government, who are more interested in regaining power by undermining the current administration, than focusing their hatred on the enemies of the American people.

I am not interested in keeping an "open mind" about the members of our media who seem determined to dispirit the American people, undermine confidence in our leadership and offer aid and comfort to the enemy through their blatantly biased (and often factually incorrect) reporting...

I am not interested in keeping an "open mind" about teachers who preach anti-American sentiments to captive student audiences, and who publicly ostracize any student who does not pander to their leftist agenda.

I am not interested in keeping an "open mind" about people who find moral equivalence between what our nation is doing in Iraq, and the actions of those who behead people, blow up children with suicide belts and target civilian populations with airliners.

I am not interested in keeping an "open mind" about people who are too intellectually lazy to learn a little history, but instead prefer to regurgitate the latest news sound-bites, wholly undigested and with absolutely no concept of historical context.

I am not interested in keeping an "open mind" about my fellow citizens who believe we are not at war, that our government is the true enemy, and that this is all some complex conspiracy to reduce our freedoms, and ultimately increase control over the American people.

I am not even slightly interested in keeping an "open mind" about the people who consider Hamas and Hizbollah legitimate political entities, and find moral equivalence between their actions, and the actions taken by the Israelis in self-defense.

Keeping an "open mind" is great in theory, but sometimes it's just an excuse to not take sides, or not own up to the side you have already chosen.
An open mind is a wonderful thing to have... but so are convictions.

Sometimes in life, you have to pick sides and make a stand.

Brilliant! A virtual online Infidel library "promoting Islam-critical books in cyberspace". A monumental task perhaps. But well worth the effort, if we are to become victorious against the spread of Islam worldwide.

Creating the Online Infidel Library

Fatima Houda-Pepin, raised a Muslim and active in the struggle against the use of sharia in Canada, warns that the public should make an effort to get to know those in the Muslim community who are lobbying for application of Shari‘a: “One of the strengths of Islamists is that they know you very well. They know our history, they know our culture, they know our justice system.” The reason why so many Westerners reacted with defeatism and despair over the Muhammad cartoons affair is because we are mentally on the defensive. We are reacting more than acting, waiting passively for the next Islamic move. We haven’t even named the enemy yet. The attacks of 9/11, the London and Madrid bombings were reduced to the work of “evildoers who had hijacked a great religion,” not Islam itself. Muslims have been carefully studying our weak points for decades, to find ways to exploit them. Meanwhile, we have largely been ignoring them, first because we didn’t take them seriously, and later because we would not want to get involved in a global clash with the Islamic world. Get real: This is a world war, at least a cold one. War has already been declared upon us, and it is irrelevant whether Westerners and infidels like this or not. We need to recognize this and start fighting back, before we lose this fight without ever having admitted that we were in it.

Now is the perfect time to launch an ideological counter-offensive, using the Internet. Internet censorship is still less effective in most Muslim countries than in China, and there is now a critical mass of ordinary Westerners who understand that Islam constitutes a mortal threat to their freedom. Many of them could be mobilized, if somebody leads them and shows them how. The key to winning this struggle is not to engage the silent majority in the Islamic world, but to mobilize the silent majority in the West and in the infidel world, and perhaps the minority of ex-Muslims within the Islamic world.

I have advocated the idea of creating an organized network to promote Islam-critical books in cyberspace. Maybe a dozen or more blogs and websites could form the global backbone of this network, the cyberspace version of Radio Free Europe. This to make it more difficult for hackers to block the efforts, and to disseminate the books as much as possible. The websites should preferably be based in the USA, since it has the strongest protection of freedom of speech, or at least outside of the jurisdiction of the Eurabian Union. Start with those who are already in the business, for instance Jihad Watch, Faith Freedom International, Little Green Footballs, Michelle Malkin and others. These “backbone” websites should receive financial compensation for this task. Anybody, anywhere should be able to download the books or republish them at their own websites. This would bypass media censorship and create an Online Infidel Library. It would mirror the online library Google is trying to create now, but with books about Islam only. The information would spread around the planet faster than CAIR can say “Islamophobia”. The genie would be out of the bottle, and no amount of intimidation, hacker attacks or “hate speech” lawsuits could return it to the bottle.

NOTE: The following list of books is based solely on my own subjective views. The authors have not been consulted about whether they would agree to publish their books on the Internet, and it is quite possible that some of them might object to this. However, it is likely that several of them would agree to this, provided that they get adequate financial compensation for this. The number of suggested titles could easily be doubled, but any such Online Infidel Library would probably include some of the books I have listed here. I have read most of these books myself, but include some by reputation or recommendations from people I trust:

I love books. It is through careful reading and a growing library in my own home that I have come to better understand the nature of Islam and the War on Terror. Below you will find many selections hand-picked by myself, as well as definitions and a few greatly expounded-upon explanations wrapped-in-opinion, all neatly categorized. I update this section regularly. I hope it proves beneficial to you.
