Ann Arbor bank creates subsidiary for Muslims - [via Miami Herald] - A bank that has been offering special services for Muslims for two years has now formed a subsidiary to focus solely on the religious group.
The Ann Arbor-based University Bank has created University Islamic Financial Corp. to offer Muslims home financing, deposit accounts and Islamic mutual fund shares.
"The formation of the subsidiary allows us to have a financial institution which is 100 percent in compliance with the Muslim Shariah, the legal code of the Islamic religion," bank President and Chairman Stephen Lange Ranzini told The Ann Arbor News for a Saturday story.

There was also an objection raised about the flag in Britain (I believe it is composed of the Scottish cross of St. Andrew, the Irish cross of St. Patrick, and the English cross of St. George.)Not only infidels-- but infidel saints as well! And, of course, St. George!
Fortunately, these complaints have gotten nowhere. The Brits are not about to abandon their flag. And, while some dhimmis in Australia think that prohibiting flying the flag over Bondi Beach will "lessen tensions", I would imagine that ultimately "reason will prevail").
There might be a postive side to all this-- it is such a far-fetched idea that it might help wake up some people as to how ridiculous some of the Moslems demands are-- and how ridiculous some of the dhimmitude has become. (What's next-- issuing fatwas against kangaroos because they are "haram"? lol)

I agree on your point about how the more stupid the Muslim demands become, the more likely it is to wake people up.
That's why I think we should do something to get them complaining about sacred American institutions like beer, broads, and rock n' roll.
Know what I mean?
Try to take that stuff away from Americans and we will go nuts.
Then, the Jihadis will really have a war on their hands.

Hard-line Muslims already see all those things as agin' the teachin's of the Prophet. Let's start a letter-writing campaign to urge some weenie of a city counselor to propose a ban.
Then again, given the multi-cultural indoctrination that everyone under the age of 30 has received throughout their entire educational career and working life, I'm afraid there might be enough supporters for such a measure of "sensitivity" to get it passed. A beer is only a beer, but a gesture of political correctness is a religious act.
The idea is a very good one, Rick. What do you propose? Should we write it under a Muslim name, perhaps?
