All of us, every single man, woman, and child on the face of the Earth were born with the same unalienable rights; to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. And, if the governments of the world can't get that through their thick skulls, then, regime change will be necessary.

Chirac Condemns Media Over Cartoons
No, no, no, this is not what I say. I mean, we did not say what you think we meant. I mean, we do not mean anything.
There was a certain, how you say, intention of nuance.
Oh, how do I explain zee Deconstructionism to a bunch of racaille.
I give up.
Oh yeah, he'll use nukes against ANY terrorist attack, but he won't allow his countrymen to use cartoons to protect their Freedom of Speech:
French President Jacques Chirac has condemned as "overt provocation" decisions to reprint cartoons satirising the Prophet Muhammad.
As another French publication printed the cartoons, Mr Chirac said any subject matter that could hurt other people's convictions should be avoided.
But Denmark's PM said it was not for the government to censor the media.
Well, at least the Danes are standing strong. Man, they must be tough people.
Meanwhile, Los Angeles talk radio host Bill Handle, of KFI AM 640, has apologized because of pressure from CAIR.

How is the government narrow-minded towards students?
At least the Danish PM didn't lecture his people on how free speech comes with the responsibility to be nice to those who would harm us. (ala Bush)
From everything I've read, Rasmussen is a great leader-- the type of person that's all too rare now-a-days. He has consistantly stood up for free speech & democratic principles. I wish more heads of state were like him.
I am also Danish, albeit not living in Denmark for many years.
And I also am disappointed with the Danish PM. If you care to, you can see my last article on the subject:
The Islamofascists have won battles in Denmark

There has been incredible pressure on Denmark and the newspaper that started it all - but that does not excuse the de facto loss of free expression which has happened in Denmark. (see article)
But yes, the Government withheld an absolute apology, but they sure tried to apologize without saying so. This particular Danish Prime Minister is known to make whole sale out of political ideals in exchange for political opportunism.
I suppose as non Danish you would be more susceptible to the Danish show of Danish resistance. It was standhaft to a degree and more so than many other countries.
But as a Dane I am more critical and expect more. And especially from a right wing government.
Were the Danish Prime Minister to apologize on behalf of Denmark to the Islamofascists - I would have renounced my citizenship.
Regarding Bill Handel - despite KFI's apology for being "insensitive," they still air promos claiming that they are First Amendment champions, airing views that people do not want to hear. More at KFI - More Hypocritical Talk Radio.
Thanks for that OE.
