I was raised among the best of Christians and among some not so great. But, I don’t think too much about those who — with their conduct — offended Christianity. I do, however, think fondly of those friends who illustrated the best of Christianity. It is a gift from God that I was raised among these people, because otherwise, I may have had trouble accepting the teachings in the Qur’an telling me that those who call themselves Christians are closest in affection to the Muslims (5:82).

There are many people who turn to the religion oc Christianity because they are afraid. They use their religion as a way to avoid things which are unpleasant including having to deal with people and situations with which they are not familiar.
I haven't read your article yet, but I will. But, right away, I have to ask, do you know of any Christians beheading Muslims, or blowing them up just because thet are Muslims?
You know my answer to that. And my position on it.
What I have to ask is how is that in any way relevant to what this individual Muslim thinks about Christians?
Part of my 'role' on IBA is to alert you all to what usually only is visible on the 'inside' of the world of Muslims.
And that would be people such as this Muslim guy writing about this Christian guy.
Hey, we want to hear. And, I appreciate your patience in dealing with these issues with us.
You will notice that I am plenty willing to admit the shortcomings of various factions within the West. We must be able toanalyze ourselves, or we will not improve.
The reason I asked the question is for perspective. I guess you can't be expected to put a Muslim disclaimer on everything you write. Maybe I could write one up for you,
"Of course, I, as an enlightened Muslim, am well aware of the fact that there are many within my religion who believe in violent Jihad as a way of life ..."
:)
And, here's mind:
Of course, I, as an enlightened Christian recognize that there are many within my religion who think helping the Jews will hasten the apocalypse and the return of Christ, but I ..."
etc.
