You Can Check Out Any Time You Like, But You Can Never Leave

Welcome to the Hotel Islamia!

While Pope Benedict XVI is visiting Turkey to promote dialogue, tolerance, and interfaith understanding, Turkey is busy making sure that Muslims within its borders don’t get any ideas about converting out of the One True Faith.

The door of Islam swings in one direction only. Once you’re in, you’re in. The only exit is via the grave.

Turan Topal and Hakan Tastan are two Turkish men who had the effrontery to convert out of Islam into Christianity. Turkey is a secular state, but it has a way of dealing with people like Mssrs. Topal and Tastan. Read the story from today’s Times Online:

Protestant missionaries face nine years for insult to Islam

Suna Erdem, Istanbul

Turan Topal and Hakan TastanWhen Hakan Tastan wanted to amend the religion on his Turkish identity card, his enthusiastic championing of Christianity exasperated the official barring his way. Eventually, the official gave up trying to oppose the controversial change. “Change this heathen’s religion and make him go away,” the devout Muslim told his clerks.

More than ten years later, the missionary zeal of Mr Tastan and his fellow Christian convert, Turan Topal, has led to much graver things than being called names.

They face up to nine years’ jail after going on trial last week for “insulting Turkishness” during their religious work, under the notorious Article 301 of the Turkish penal code. It is the same law that put Orhan Pamuk, the Nobel literature laureate, in the dock, and which the European Union wants amended.

The case against two members of the tiny Turkish Protestant community has attracted criticism from the EUand cast a shadow over Pope Benedict XVI’s visit this week.

Mr Topal and Mr Tastan, who are charged with illegally gathering information on people and “insulting Islam”, have faced public anger in Turkey, where a mistrust of Christians has been growing, fuelled by the Iraq war, the EU’s critical attitude, the Pope’s comments linking Islam with violence and the Danish cartoons row.

Turkey has about a hundred thousand Christians, but most of them are from traditional Christian communities such as the Greek Orthodox Church. Those are descendents of the dhimmi Christian minorities from Ottoman times, and have been tolerated so long as they recognize their place.

But these two converts are from an exotic sect: they’re Protestants:

For Turkish Protestants, a community of about 4,000, that came into existence 20 years ago, there is no recognisable role. Mr Topal was one of the first converts 17 years ago. Mr Tastan, the son of an atheist and grandson of an Alevi Muslim, said that he read the Koran and then was given the Bible by a friend.

He converted during his mandatory military service. The pair and their lawyer, Haydar Polat, think that their indictment is part of a plot.

The three plaintiffs, young men aged 16, 17 and 23, contacted them through a friend saying that they wanted to find out more about Christianity. After two meetings, charges were filed.

The two missionaries were accused of calling Islam a backward religion and claiming that Turks would never become civilised unless they converted. They were also accused of trying to sell women and of possessing guns.

Selling women and possessing guns? Is that projection, or what?

A final word:

Mr Topal and Mr Tastan have forgiven their accusers. “We have a woman in our group who puts up with so much from her husband who is a Muslim. But even she has to love him because the Bible says so,” Mr Tastan says.

Now, once again, Turkey is a secular country. It’s ready to join the European Union and thus commit itself to human rights, equality under the law, religious freedom, yada yada yada.

But insulting Turkishness — that’s another matter entirely…

We’re all prisoners here, of our own device.

Palestinian Nazi Salute Circa December 2, 2006

I have periodically posted photographs of various groups of Palestinians doing Nazi salutes. Well, here's one that comes via Associated Press December 2, 2006. Yes, that's today.

Note the AP caption:

Palestinian student supporters of the Fatah Movement at the Arab American University raise their arms as they shout slogans supporting Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, during a rally near the West Bank town of Jenin, Saturday, Dec. 2, 2006. Hamas on Saturday rejected demands by PLO leaders that its government resign over the failure to form a moderate coalition acceptable to the West, a sign of an intensifying power struggle between Islamic militants and moderate President Mahmoud Abbas. Something needs to be done about publicity seekers

A moonbat tried to get former IDF chief Moshe Yaalon arrested in New Zealand:
(IsraelNN.com) Former IDF chief of staff, Moshe Ya’alon has departed from New Zealand, where he was on a private visit. An warrant for his arrest charging alleged war crimes was issued against him on Monday, for his part in IDF operations in PA (Palestinian Authority) controlled Gaza.

Ya’alon told Army Radio on Friday morning that he was not afraid of the warrant, adding he is pleased that the Government of New Zealand canceled the warrant and did not permit publicity seekers to use the law to benefit their motive.
They did the right thing. Nevertheless, these terrorist worshipers need to be tried themselves for harrassing innocent army officials who're trying to defend innocent communities against violent terrorists. Should a countersuit be filed against them in that case?

Recent History of Brainwashing

"Brainwashing" came to be recognized as a term around 1950, in Mao's attempts to transform revolutionary China. The term came into use in the western world in the USA during the Korean War of the 1950s, when it became known that the Chinese communists were using brainwashing techniques on western prisoners of war.

What is brainwashing?

In the late 1950s, psychologist Robert Jay Lifton studied former prisoners of Korean and Chinese war camps. He determined that they'd undergone a multistep process that began with attacks on the prisoner's sense of self and ended with what appeared to be a change in beliefs. Lifton ultimately defined a set of steps involved in the brainwashing cases he studied:

1. Assault on identity
2. Guilt
3. Self-betrayal
4. Breaking point
5. Leniency
6. Compulsion to confess
7. Channeling of guilt
8. Releasing of guilt
9. Progress and harmony
10. Final confession and rebirth

Each of these stages takes place in an environment of isolation, meaning all "normal" social reference points are unavailable, and mind-clouding techniques like sleep deprivation and malnutrition are typically part of the process. There is often the presence or constant threat of physical harm, which adds to the target's difficulty in thinking critically and independently.

These methods should be familiar to anyone who has experienced indoctrination into a cult, or the political indoctrination known as "consciousness raising." Consciousness raising is a method of "programming" a person into an extremist philosophy--and is common practise in many leftist and nazi-type organisations. In fact the original method of programming for radical feminists was consciousness raising. It is important to separate the individual from her previous "program", in order to program her into the new ideology.

Our study groups were radicalizing our own consciousness and it suddenly became apparent that women could be doing on a mass scale what we were doing in our own group, that the next logical radical action would be to get the word out about what we were doing. This kind of study would be part of what was necessary to achieve the liberation of women on a mass scale. Source.

Cult indoctrination and indoctrination in muslim extremism follows much the same form as the other types of brainwashing.

* Breaking sessions: that pressure a person until they crack.
* Changing values: to change what is right and wrong.
* Confession: to leave behind the undesirable past.
* Entrancement: open the mind and limit rational reflection.
* Engagement: that draws a person in.
* Exhaustion: so they are less able to resist persuasion.
* Guilt: about the past that they can leave behind.
* Higher purpose: associate desirability with a higher purpose.
* Identity destruction: to make space for the new identity.
* Information control: that blocks out dissuading thoughts.
* Incremental conversion: shifting the person one step at a time.
* Isolation: separating people from dissuasive messages.
* Love Bomb: to hook in the lonely and vulnerable.
* Persistence: never giving up, wearing you down.
* Special language: that offers the allure of power and new meaning.
* Thought-stopping: block out distracting or dissuading thoughts.
Anyone reading the above list of characteristics of "conversion techniques" will notice similarities between cult techniques, political ideological techniques, and techniques used against prisoners of war in the Korean and Vietnamese wars.
The sad truth is, in leftist dominated universities in the western world, as in muslim and extreme fundamentalist religious schools, such "consciousness raising" types of brainwashing are routinely used in many classes given by women's studies, ethnic studies, political science, and many other departments where political and religious indoctrination is considered more important than preparing the students to be fit to meet the future.

Woman In Chains: The Use Of Coercion In The Spread Of The Hijab

Oliver Guitta has a very important piece up at the Weekly Standard which details the mechanism by which Muslim communities turn to the veil:

... the Tunisian author and feminist Samia Labidi, president of A.I.M.E., an organization fighting the Islamists, recounts that she personally started wearing the veil before puberty, after Islamists told her the hijab would be a passport to a new life, to emancipation. After a few years, she realized she had been fooled and that the veil made her feel like she was "living in a prison." At first, she could not bring herself to stop wearing it because of the constant psychological pressure. But the 1981 ban on the hijab in public places forced her to remove
it, and she did so for good.

Labidi's experience suggests that in both Tunisia and France the recent banning of the hijab has actually helped Muslim women who are subject to Islamist indoctrination.

For Islamists, the imperative to veil women justifies almost any means. Sometimes they try to buy off resistance. Some French Muslim families, for instance, are paid 500 euros (around $600) per quarter by extremist Muslim organizations just to have their daughters wear the hijab.

This has also happened in the United States. Indeed, the famous and brave Syrian-American psychiatrist Wafa Sultan recently told the Jerusalem Post that after she moved to the United States in 1991, Saudis offered her $1,500 a month to cover her head and attend a mosque.

But what Islamists use most is intimidation. A survey conducted in France in May 2003 found that 77 percent of girls wearing the hijab said they did so because of physical threats from Islamist groups. A series in the newspaper Libération in 2003 documented how Muslim women and girls in France who refuse to wear the hijab are insulted, rejected, and often physically threatened by Muslim males. One of the teenage girls interviewed said, "Every day, bearded men come to me and advise me strongly on wearing the veil. It is a war. For now, there are no dead, but there are looks and words that do kill."

Muslim women who try to rebel are considered "whores" and treated as outcasts. Some of them want to move to areas "with no Muslims" to escape. However, that might not be a solution, as Islamists are at work all over France. The Communist newspaper L'Humanité in 2003 interviewed two Catholic-born French women who said they had converted to Islam and started wearing the niqab after systematic indoctrination by the Muslim Brotherhood.

In light of this, wearing the hijab may or may not be a manifestation of the free exercise of religion. For any individual, it may reflect the very opposite--religious coercion. In fact, millions of women are forced to wear the veil for fear of physical retribution. And the fear is well founded. According to Cheryl Benard of RAND, every year hundreds of women in Pakistan and Afghanistan alone are killed, have acid thrown in their faces, or are otherwise maimed by male fanatics.

Given the Islamists' ferocious determination on this point, it is worth asking: Why exactly is covering the female so important to them? The obvious answer is that it is a means of social control. Not coincidentally, it is one of the only issues on which Sunni and Shia extremists agree. It's not by chance that use of the hijab really took off after Iran's Islamic regime came to power in 1979. Some Shiite militias in Iraq have actually started forcing women--Muslim or not--to wear the veil or face the consequences.

If this issue were not vital for Islamists, how can one explain their reaction when France banned the hijab in public schools? Al Qaeda's number two, Ayman al Zawahiri, "strongly condemned" President Chirac's decision and threatened actions against France. Likewise, Sheikh Fadlallah, founder and spiritual leader of Hezbollah, wrote to Chirac threatening "likely complications" for France. Mohammad Khatami, former president of the Islamic Republic of Iran, called on the French government to "cancel this unjust law."

Partial List of Banned Books in Malaysia

Downtown Kuala Lumpur features what is billed as the world's largest Borders bookstore. This store has quite a nifty selection of titles...but remember, this is Malaysia, which is not a free country. Even the world's supposedly largest Borders has numerous titles that are, shall we say, 'not available'. Censorship is official state policy in Malaysia. Even the list of Officially Banned Books is not publically available.

Recently, I was able to obtain a partial copy of the list of books that are banned in Malaysia (never mind how). Mostly, the list has titles that expose the rotting cesspool that is Islam. It makes for interesting and sobering reading, seeing what the Islamic-Malaysian government is afraid of.

See the list here at Pedestrian Infidel.

Storm Track Infiltration: What Year Was This Said?

Guess what year the following quote from Hilaire Belloc and his writings on Islam was said? From Pim’s Ghost. Hat Tip to the Jawa Report.
  • Millions of modern people of the white civilization—that is, the civilization of Europe and America—have forgotten all about Islam. They have never come in contact with it. They take for granted that it is decaying, and that, anyway, it is just a foreign religion which will not concern them. It is, as a fact, the most formidable and persistent enemy which our civilization has had, and may at any moment become as large a menace in the future as it has been in the past.

2006? 2001? 1992? 1978?

Nope. Belloc wrote those words in 1936.

Uh, Yeah Right! Here's The Truth About Those Fucking Imams

I'm sorry, but I'm sick of hearing the international weep-fest over those poor "violated" fuckheads, the airport Imams. While Reuters, and other news sources, continue the hand-wringing coverage about American bias against Muslims, more and more information is coming out:

December 2, 2006 -- THE notorious case of U.S. Airways Flight 300 gets stranger by the minute, as more facts emerge about why six traveling Muslim clerics were asked to deplane.

A passenger on that flight - I'll call her "Pauline" - has inadvertently publicized some facts via a much-forwarded e-mail; she gave me more details in an interview this week. The airport police report confirms some of her claims and holds more revelations of its own. And U.S. Airways spokeswoman Andrea Rader also confirmed much of Pauline's account.

One detail that's escaped most reports is that other Muslim passengers were left undisturbed and later joined in a round of applause for the U.S. Airways crew.

"It wasn't that they were Muslim," says Pauline. "It was all of the suspicious things they did." Sitting by Minneapolis-St. Paul's Airport Gate C9, she noticed one imam immediately. "He was pacing nervously, talking in Arabic," she said.

As the plane boarded, she said, no one refused to fly. The public prayers and an Arabic phone call triggered no alarms.

But then a note from a passenger about suspicious movements of the imams got the crew's attention.

To Pauline, everything seemed normal. Then the captain - in classic laconic pilot-style - announced there had been a "mix-up in our paperwork" and that the flight would be delayed.

In reality, the crew was waiting for the FBI and local police to arrive.

Contrary to press accounts that a single note from a passenger triggered the imams' removal, Captain John Howard Wood was weighing multiple factors.

* An Arabic speaker was seated near two of the imams in the plane's tail. That passenger pulled a flight attendant aside and, in a whisper, translated what the men were saying: invoking "bin Laden" and condemning America for "killing Saddam," according to police reports.

* An imam seated in first class asked for a seat-belt extender - the extra strap that obese people use because the standard belt is too short. According to both an on-duty and a deadheading flight attendant, he looked too thin to need one.

A seat-belt extender can easily be used as a weapon - just wrap one end around your fist, and swing the heavy metal buckle.

* All six imams had boarded together, with the first-class passengers - even though only one of them had a first-class ticket. Three had one-way tickets. Between the six men, only one had checked a bag.

And, Pauline said, they spread out - just like the 9/11 hijackers. Two sat in first class, two in the middle and two back in the economy section, police reports show. Some, according to Rader, took seats not assigned to them.

* Finally, a gate attendant told the captain she was suspicious of the imams, according to police reports.

So the captain made his decision to delay the flight based on many complaints, not one. He also consulted a federal air marshal, a U.S. Airways ground-security coordinator and the airline's security office in Phoenix. All thought the imams were acting suspiciously, Rader told me.

One more odd thing went unnoticed at the time: The men prayed both at the gate and on the plane. Yet observant Muslims pray only once at sundown, not twice.

"It was almost as if they were intentionally trying to get kicked off the flight," Pauline said.

While the imams were soon released, Pauline is fuming: "We are the victims of these people. They need to be more sensitive to us. They were totally insensitive to us and then accused us of being insensitive to them."

Tucked away in the police report is this little gem: One imam had complained to a passenger that some nations don't follow sharia law and had said his job in Bakersfield, Calif., was a cover for "representing Muslims here in the U.S."

What are the imams really up to? Something more than praying, it seems.

Pajamas Media has a pdf of the police report, although when I clicked over there earlier, it didn't come up. I'm guessing people are over-inundating the servers and crashing them. That's because people want to know the truth.

Yemen takes U.S. money and promotes jihad as well..oh no, I'm so shocked

Is there a single person anywhere who bats an eye at this? Why are we bothering sending money to these freaks? What if we don't? Maybe they will hate us? Oh no !!

Yemen has been taking hundreds of millions of dollars from the United States to help fight Al Qaida while also maintaining laboratories of jihad to generate new cadres of Al Qaida operatives.

Consider Al-Iman University, established in 1993. Western intelligence sources regard the university as a conduit for Al Qaida and even containing a military wing. In October 23 people, including four Europeans and three Australians, were arrested for links to Al Qaida. All of them were students at Al Iman.

Al Iman President Abdul Majid Al Zindani defended his institution, which has nearly 5,000 students. Al Zindani has been designated a "global terrorist" by both the United States and United Nations.

President Ali Abdullah Saleh has not attempted to close down Al Iman, largely financed by Saudi Arabia, which blocks foreign scrutiny. Indeed, Saleh praised the university during a visit on Nov. 12. The president has served as a keynote speaker at the university's graduation ceremony.

Sources said Al Iman seeks to appeal to the Western jihadist. John Walker Lindh, a U.S. citizen, studied at Al Iman before he left for Pakistan and Afghanistan, where he joined Taliban.

Now.... let's go to the wayback machine, Sherman...

Iran blast continues....more from Bill Gertz...

Iran-backed Shi'ite majority battles for control of parliament in Bahrain, host to U.S. Fifth Fleet

King Hamad faces a Shi'ite majority, under the increasing influence of Iran, which is preparing to take control of parliament over the next week. bush_bahrainldr1.jpg

Hamad, who became king in 2002, has sought to balance his desire for a Western-oriented monarchy with his intent to maintain his Sunni Arab regime amid rising demands from the Shi'ites, who have becoming increasingly restless over the past year.

Unless it takes over the 40-member parliament the Shi'ite opposition has vowed to destabilize Hamad's regime. The opposition has accused the government of ordering the military and police to support the ruling Sunni coalition. This was the first election that allowed political parties to run slates. In the 2002 elections, individual candidates ran for office.

"I'm still anxious about the transparency of these elections," said Ali Salman, head of the Shi'ite opposition Al Wefaq National Islamic Society.

Salman, a Shi'ite cleric who expects to be the next speaker of parliament, has set a clear barometer for whether the elections were rigged. He said if his group — which boycotted the 2002 elections — did not win at least 13 seats, then the regime was to blame. Later, he upped the figure to 17 seats.

Iran blast day... Iran warns Gulf states not to join U.S. security alliance

NICOSIA — Iran has expanded its threats against the Gulf Cooperation Council, warning another member state against military cooperation with the United States.

Iran said the UAE must not become a U.S. base for hostile action against Teheran. It was the second warning by Teheran against a GCC state in less than a week.

"UAE officials should not let the United States use their country as a base for hostile activities against Iran," Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammad Ali Hosseini said on Nov. 26.

[On Nov. 26, the Iranian-inspired Shi'ite opposition won parliamentary elections in Bahrain. The Shi'ite opposition Al Wefaq won 16 out of the 40 seats in parliament, and was expected to win a majority of the chamber after run-off elections on Dec. 2.]

Hosseini, in remarks reported by the official Iranian news agency Irna, did not elaborate. The UAE has long disputed Iran's control of three islets in the Gulf and observed the first U.S.-led weapons of mass destruction interdiction exercise in the region on Oct. 30.

Report hits White House complacency on Iran's regional threat

Gertz mahmoud_talabani.jpg
WASHINGTON — A new report has warned the Bush administration of the implications of failing to counter a nuclear Iran.

The report said the United States and its NATO allies must work with Gulf Cooperation Council states to form a regional security network to defeat any Iranian threat. Such a network must be capable of stopping nuclear and missile shipments to Teheran. A failure to engage in such planning would be an omission on the magnitude of the failure to adequately plan for the aftermath of regime change in Iraq," the report said. "The planning should include the possibility of follow-on strikes at facilities to prevent their reconstruction and steps to deter or disrupt possible Iranian responses."

The Washington Institute, blaming administration officials for complacency, asserted that the United States must convince Teheran of Washington's determination to stop Iranian nuclear weapons, including through the use of force.

Islamic Justice

This is very confusing (via Western Resistance):

In apparent recognition of rising rates of sexual violence in the Kingdom, Saudi Arabia has opened a specialised clinic to carry out tests on rape victims, Gulf News reports.

How can uncovered meat be in any danger? That is so illogical.

The establishment of the clinic comes after a teenage gang rape case that has triggered debate. The Girl of Qatif, as she has been dubbed by the Saudi media, was sentenced to more lashes than one of her alleged rapists received, under a system which gives judges wide discretion.

But remember Islam totally respects women.

Infidel Of The Month: Texas Man Uses Pig Races To Deter Mosque

(Hat tip to Jack at Dive Desk)

Dude, this guy is the greatest. Muslims buy the property next door to where his family has lived and worked for years, and they suggest maybe he ought to leave. So, he counters with Pig Races.

Yes, that's Infidel balls:

(11/29/06 - KTRK/KATY, TX) - There's an awful lot of exciting news when you round the corner on Baker Road. One of two big yellow signs announces a new neighbor is coming soon.

K.I.A., that's the Katy Islamic Association, plan to build a mosque here.

"It's not an appropriate place to have a mosque or church," said resident Barbara Simpson.
It isn't going over real well.

"As a house of worship, they shouldn't be disturbing the peace and tranquility of 15 homes," said resident John Wetmore.

Neighbors tell us they're concerned about traffic and drainage and a little fear of the unknown. Some of the homeowners even offered to buy the land back for more than a million dollars. The K.I.A. doesn't seem very interested in the offers.

"We're not going anywhere," said Katy Islamic Association member Alvi Muzfar.

So it seems the community at the end of Baker Road has a pretty good fight. But this fight has gone much farther than many between two neighbors. You see in these fights, sometimes neighbors throw mud at one another. In this instance, they're wallowing in it.

Craig Baker owns pigs. He's the guy behind the second big yellow sign on Baker Road. That's the one announcing Friday night pig races.

"What does it matter, I can do whatever I want with my land right," asked landowner Craig Baker.

Sure can. But aren't pigs on the property line racing on a Friday night a little offensive to a Muslim neighbor?

"The meat of a pig is prohibited in the religion of Islam," said Katy Islamic Association member Youssof Allam. "It's looked upon as a dirty creature."

Yeah, there's that and also that Friday night is a Muslim holy day.

"That is definitely a slap in the face," said Allam..

Now before you go thinking Craig Baker is unfair, or full of hate, or somehow racist, hear him out.

Baker has long roots here. His family named the road and when the new neighbors moved in, he tells us, they asked him to move out.

"Basically that I should package up my family and my business and find a place elsewhere," said Baker. "That's ridiculous, they just bought the place one week prior and he's telling me I should think about leaving."

That new owners deny they ever said anything like that, but Baker isn't budging.
Baker admits the pigs are a message he is not leaving.

The 11-acre property is sandwiched between a pricey subdivision and Craig Baker's business.

The Shocking Secrets Of Sharia Courts: Honour Killings, Child Marriages, Polygamy, and Mutations

Oh my God!!! What are we going to do about this problem? People who we consider to be noble (because they are of another culture than us) are doing things that are barbaric and disgusting.

But, how could they do these things? They are simply expressing their culture, which is a beautiful thing to do. And, we know that all cultures are equal.

I guess we must try to understand. There is probably some beautiful wisdom at work here that simply eludes us at this time. We know that it is an ancient wisdom, and we know that the women and children who are subjected to these ancient and wise practices choose to participate. We know this because we know this.

Oh, my beautiful multicultural world, bring forth more Sharia. We can learn from it:

A SHOCKING report today exposes the grip Islamic law now has on British society.Honour killings, polygamy, child marriages and mutilation are revealed in the study by Islam expert Dr Patrick Sookhdeo, director of the Institute for the Study of Islam and Christianity.

The findings come after the Daily Express told yesterday how secret courts are meting out Islamic justice and creating a two-tier legal system.

The report outlines areas where hardline sharia law conflicts with Britain’s justice system and warns of attempts to include parts of Islamic law in British law. It says: “Since sharia has some regulations which relate to non-Muslims such changes in British law could impinge on non-Muslims too. They would affect individual human rights of freedom of choice and the religious freedoms of both Muslims and non-Muslims.”

The study highlights how suicide rates among young Asian women are more than three times the national average and that an estimated about 12 women die every year as a result of honour killings. The gruesome crimes are carried out after relatives decide women family members have brought shame on them.

The report also reveals how Muslim girls are being forced into child marriages permitted under sharia law.

Dr Sookhdeo – a Muslim-born academic who is a Christian convert – said: “The drive to implement sharia in the UK, both within the Muslim community and the British legal system, must be seen as part of Islam’s impetus to dominate all societies it finds itself in.”

Reacting to the study, Dr Kalim Siddiqui, director of the Iranian-backed Muslim Institute, said: “There are laws on the British statute book that are in direct conflict with the laws of Allah. We are Muslims first and last.”

The Islamic Party of Britain claims the established legal system is “grossly inadequate and full of injustice”.

The study also highlights how Iranian-born Medi Siadatan, from Walsall, who has three wives, has launched a legal challenge claiming Britain’s marriage laws banning polygamy violated his rights to religious freedom.

Oh, well, now I understand. The person who put forth this study is a Christian, so we know that it is all a pack of lies, because Christians lie.

Yes, Christians are evil, and they want to dominate whatever culture they live in, and they want to establish their own laws, and make everyone live under them. Yes, and Christians want to force everyone to believe in Jesus, and if they refuse to do so, Christians want to kill you. And, Jesus used to rape and pillage and have sex with little girls and stuff.

Screw the Christians. Let's outlaw them and their culture.

Storm Track Disinformation: And Whose Fault Is It Really?

From The Gathering Storm

“India is moving ahead but majority of Muslims continue to live in poverty, superstition, insecurities in the collective shells of their ghettoes, not only in India but also throughout the world. This reality will not change by mouthing slogans and blaming others for Muslim underdevelopment.”

This quote comes from a review of a committee report by a Retd. Justice Sachar in India. The report is enlightening placing the fault of Muslims living in India to progress in one of the fasted growing economies in the world. So, who’s responsible for the backward state of Muslims in India? This litany of reasons apply to all Muslims in all non-Muslim countries who refuse to assimilate.

  • EDUCATION: If even the most illiterate and poor Indian believes that the govt schools are open for everyone and modern education can bring about change and prosperity to their lives, why Muslims still prefer to shy away from education or send their children to Madarsas, where all they learn is ‘majhabi’ education? In these Madarsas, no vocational training is given and those coming out of them are fit for becoming Islamic teachers only.
  • MISPLACED PRIORITIES: Do Muslims ever object to Haj subsidy and insist the govt to open schools and hospitals for them from this money? Has the Muslim society ever questioned the failure of the Muslim leadership to use the huge funds it receives from abroad to build modern schools and colleges for them, instead of mosques?
  • EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE FOR MUSLIMS: When job opportunities –in govt, private sectors, Armed Forces and judiciary-- are equally available on the basis of merit only, how can anyone claim that there’s discrimination against Muslims? How come so many Muslim actors of the Mumbai film industry have been able to conquer the Indian audience if there is discrimination against them? The industry doesn’t care about how well the candidate knows the Koran, the hadiths and other Islamic things. If the Muslims bothered to study things other than religion, then they stand a much better chance of getting jobs. And, if they’re educated, they stand a better chance of getting a loan from the banks for their business.
  • FEMALE EQUALITY: When female literacy and education is becoming increasingly important throughout the world, why 50% of Muslims are not getting their rights of equality by the Muslim society? Muslims don’t want to give equal rights to their womenfolk, who’re constantly under attack from their patriarchal family heads. Muslim women are not allowed to educate themselves, are forced to drop out of schools, are married off early, are not allowed to use family planning methods to limit their families and are under constant threat of divorce.
  • FAMILY PLANNING: When every strata of Indian society are adopting family planning, why Muslims find it against their religious laws and continue to live in poverty due to the large size of their families and supporting the thesis that Muslims want to outnumber others by fast-breeding?
  • HEALTHCARE: When every Indian is adopting modern healthcare to enhance the quality of life, why Muslim society adopts superstitious stance on health programs like ‘Pulse Polio’?
  • NOT MERGING WITH MAINSTREAM: Muslims don’t merge with the mainstream of majority society anywhere they live and are conspicuous by their dressing habits, special food habits, beards, skullcaps, 5-times Namaz and their insistence on veils for their womenfolk even in this 21st Century. Muslims don’t want to bring about social changes in their society and any efforts by any well-meaning ones, including those within, is rejected as an encroachment and insult to their religion. No wonder that even in liberal countries in Europe and USA, Muslims are considered anachronistic and out of touch with modernity.
  • OTHER MINORITIES HAVE NO PROBLEMS: Why other minorities like Parsis, Jains, Sikhs, Christians and Buddhists never complain about discrimination? Why is it that other minorities do not find any problem in getting access to education and jobs either in public or in private sector? There is no reservation for these classes of people in Government or public sector jobs and yet they are rubbing shoulders with the majority.
Hand this to a Lefty Dhimmicrat or Islamist Muslim next time they claim that Muslims are being discriminated against and are an oppressed minority.

But seriously, when will the finger pointing begin?

The coming release of the Iraq study group by 'realists' will begin, I think, a new form of comi-tragic relief.

As politicians of all bent run for (a make believe american political) cover beneath the shelter of this document, we will fire off the who lost Iraq, lesson of Iraq, blame of 22 Gia Long Street game.

Republicans will smugly point at Durbinite-Dean-onauts and Moveon-Kerry freaks. Pelosi will be sad that Bush lied us into a war in a nation with no connection to the war on terror and pretend if we had just killed the guy in the cave, this would all have been over.

Newt will claim the morally weak and cowardly democratic party making appeals of economic bent, and a future foreign dis-involvement is possible, is perverting the good sense of americans.

Barrack will insist that a real unified nation is possible if we can all just get past the republican divisiveness.

The Iraq study group (ISG) has no answer. That is plain.

Leaving Iraq in ANY perceived lurch will empower those who want to come here and kill us. I think there is NO argument about this. Will it empower these freaks to actually DO IT?

OT for this site, slightly, George Soros and anti-AIPAC

Or how I learned to stop worrying and love the holocaust...

For someone who expressed PUBLICLY no pangs of consicence over his World War 2 collaborationist, anti jewish german activities of arranging the arrest and taking away of jews for the germans ..(note I UNDERSTAND why he did it, I do NOT understand why it doesn't bother him in the least)....THIS:

International money-manager and philanthropist George Soros hitherto has not been known as overly concerned with the fate of the Jewish state. But this now has changed — though in a somewhat perverse fashion.

As noted in The New York Sun, the Financial Times, and other news outlets, Mr. Soros is considering giving his support to a new initiative for an "influential alternative" that would be "a powerful voice to lobby for peace with the Palestinians." It could come to be seen as a counterweight to Aipac and other Jewish organizations.

For some obscure reason, there is no mention of a similar effort to create "a powerful voice" to lobby the Palestinians for peace with Israel.

goes perfectly well with this:

America the Dangerous?
Activist and financier George Soros on the global energy crisis and why he thinks the United States has become an obstacle to a stable and just world.

The bottom line for Soros' pattern of behavior ...Mr. Soros is a moral coward who finds it easier to bully with money, and the levers of intimidation that buys, those who can cause him no harm, in order to not consider and take the dangerous actions necessary towards those who will.

George Soros is EXACTLY the person, who the arch racist pig Mahathir, HERO of modern 'moderate' muslims thinks of when his mind is occupied with the word...

Anti-Education Killings

Brutally, terribly murdered for doing nothing more than being a teacher- for teaching girls.

The gunmen came at night to drag Mohammed Halim away from his home, in front of his crying children and his wife begging for mercy.

The 46-year-old schoolteacher tried to reassure his family that he would return safely.

But his life was over.

He was partly disembowelled and then torn apart with his arms and legs tied to motorbikes. The remains were put on display as a warning to others against defying Taleban orders to stop educating girls.

Disembowelled and then ripped limb from limb. An educator, girls going to school, vicious fascistic thugs. Where are the liberals now who claim to champion freedom? Where are the teacher's unions offering their support for the mission in Afghanistan? Where are the feminists?

All seem to be silent, content to do nothing more than complain about the freely elected leaders of the United States- and not the Dark Ages zealots who brutally murder people for being teachers of girls.

What has happened?

And it's not just in Afghanistan- Islamist butchers are murdering teachers in Thailand too-

Thailand will close all 944 public schools indefinitely in the country's restive Muslim-majority south after a string of arsons and shootings that left two teachers dead, an official said Monday.

The school closure was due to a wave of arson attacks against school buildings, as well as shootings that killed two Buddhist school teachers last week.

In Pattani, suspected Islamic militants gunned down a 48-year-old school director inside his parked car then set fire to the bullet-riddled vehicle, the federation said. The victim was the 60th teacher killed during three years of unrest in the south, where more than 1,600 people have been killed in the almost daily violence since January 2004.

Where's the liberal outrage? Where's the front page press coverage of these crimes?

Halaal Pornography

Pornography will be a benchmark for liberty in the Muslim world.

How so? Let me explain.

Understand: when I say pornography, I'm including everything from Playboy to the most hardcore, um, stuff. Westerners might think that this definition is too broad but for many Muslims any woman without a burqa is hardcore.

Currently in almost all the Islamic lands, women have few, if any, rights. Men always come first and women come second (or sometimes not at all). Women should have the right to make their sexual or sensual choices. Pornography will thus be the ultimate expression of women's freedom in Dar al-Islam.

Lucid Psychosis

Black Lion is confused about why so many Muslims leave behind Islamic lands to live in the infidel world:

For some Muslims, there is only poverty and no option to migrate and make hijrah out of the country. For others of us, there are the resources to leave the US before we end up in concentration camps like many US citizens before us who were of Japanese extraction.

Races have been mixing for centuries and a religion usually has numerous sects. It is, thus, tough to define race and religion with precision. However, one enters a whole new level of hell when both of these terms are confused:

If you are Causcasian and Muslim, you are considered to have turned your back on whiteness, as much as John Brown when he endeavored to free the slaves by force.

Here's what I've said:

The idea that the critics of Islam are racist is already prevalent. But, now, a white covert to Islam is...no longer white! Which "race" are these people converting to?

I'm confused.

By the way, what, in the name of sanity, is "whiteness"? Is there such a thing as "blackness" and "brownness"? What about interracial marriages--do the kids 'inherit' both "nesses"?

I'm really confused.

Back to the senile Lion:

Why is it that we only want to settle in countries like France, England, Australia, and the US? Why is it that only in these same countries are we as targeted as we are? Only the US was attacked, and probably by itself only, yet the other 3 joined in the retaliation like some bearded mullahs had jumped on all of them.

[Emphasis mine.]

Islam's Trojan Horse: African-American Voting Districts

Could it be true that African-American voting districts could function as a Trojan Horse for Islam in American politics?

From Hip Hop Republican (no link available, so look on November 30, 2006):

Are African Americans leaders being used? Are black leaders who were elected to help the folks in there districts being bamboozled by Islamist funding?

What would happen if millions of Saudi money flowed into black congressional coffers, and these elected candidates started parroting Islamist propaganda?

The idea of having a victim mentality social group like African Americans wrapped around the finger of Islamist groups is not unthinkable. Also one of the problems many Arab's have had in running for office is there last name, so a black Muslim born in America with an American last name can be very attractive.

The Caucus has described on its websites its goals which are "positively influencing the course of events pertinent to African-Americans and others of similar experience and situation," and "achieving greater equity for persons of African descent in the design and content of domestic and international programs and services."One could only imagine what such vague language could overtime accommodate.

What does" others of similar experience and situations" mean. Most people in the world have at some point been victims of discrimination so to say that advocate for others of similar experience and situation, means very little.Could it be possible that CAIR along with high rollers in Arab countries are using the newly elected African American and Muslim Rep. Keith Ellison as a test case for spreading there agenda.

Black districts are very conservative socially but liberal on economics which would make them great allies with the new growing Muslim immigrant communities which are seen all over black neighborhood's form Detroit to Harlem.

As black young men in prison convert to Islam this proves to be a great asset in blending the to cultures. I can only imagine what would happen if a Saudi prince threw around a few million dollars he could practically run the entire Congressional Black Caucus.

By stacking Muslim intern Congressional in the Congressional Black Caucus, they could in time have close to 40 congressman all Muslim. Congressman Gregory Meeks has been a strong supporter of bringing Muslim interns onto his staff. It would not take a great deal of time and some candidates may even keep there faith secret just to win and then convert while in office.

With Cynthia McKinney's pandering letter to Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, in which she asked for cash days after Sept 11th it would not take a genius to see this Trojan horse scenario come to play. Also lets not forget Congressman Jeffersons money problems, he should have just called the Saudis.

It would seem that Muslim policy hawks will bring up the "Israel factor", playing on longstanding 'tensions' between blacks and Jews. Of course that is a lot better than talking about Islams involvement in slavery for hundreds of years but that talk is not as fun as blaming the Jews.

There are over 40 members of Congress who are African American and with if Islamic groups posing as brothas in the struggle take over this institution politics in American and foreign policy could change.

I could see a day when a great deal if all 40 members of theCongressional Black Caucus were Muslim, if it happened it would not be a surprise to me.

Both groups would make a perfect fit they both see America as racist, imperialist, but choose to stay they say in order to change it from the inside out.

I just hope that change has nothing to do with facing Mecca.

There's more over at Hip Hop Republican.

A Call To Arms: Western Civilization Is Worth Fighting For

Baron at Gates of Vienna has a very important post up, which begins with this email which was sent out by author Jack Wheeler:

We don’t think anyone can dispute the fact that the forces of Islamofascism have embarked upon a World War of global conquest that may last for decades if not longer. Since Islamofascist terrorists have no boundaries, this war will be even tougher to fight than our battle was against the Soviet empire.

Already, the Islamofascists have a beachhead in Western Europe. According to demographic experts, Europe will become Islamic in a generation — and it’s not the moderates who hold sway in the Islamic communities in Europe. If these numbers are translated to political power — which undoubtedly will be the case — it will have dire consequences. Eventually, radical Islamic political blocs will take power in many European nations such as Belgium, Holland, France, and Britain.

The Washington Times reports (11/21/06) that Russia is well on its way to becoming an Islamic country. Within eight years (by 2015) over half the soldiers in the Russian Army will be Moslem. By 2020, over 20% of Russia’s entire population will be Moslem.

What happens when Moslems in political power have access to the nuclear arsenals of Russia, France, and Britain?

Couple this with the increased presence of Islam in Africa and Latin America, and there is a distinct possibility that America, within a generation of two, will be alone in the world. We would be encircled by enemies dedicated to our destruction. No doubt by then, there will be thousands of Jihadists within the US prepared to carry out terrorist acts on command from international Islamic powers. We cannot allow this to happen without a fight.

Western Civilization is worth fighting for. We cannot allow our grandchildren to live in Islamofascist tyranny.

Baron has a list of concrete things you can do, including joining up with the 910 Group, and the Coalition to Preserve Civilization.

Please go read the whole thing.

An Infidel Bloggers Alliance Apology To Lee Camp

Yesterday, we ran a post here which claimed that Theologian Lee Camp had advised Christians that we need to let go of some of the tenets of our faith in order to get along with Muslims.

The story was wrong, and therefore, we sincerely and profusely apologize to Mr. Camp who seems to be a man of very admirable character, actually, quite the opposite to how we portrayed him.

So, here is Mr. Camp's correction of our false story, and I hope he will accept our apologies:

“On Tuesday, Lipscomb University’s Institute for Conflict Management hosted an “Invitation to Dialogue: Conversations on Religious Conflict.” The full-day program included a variety of speakers, and from a broad range of backgrounds: Jewish, Islamic, and Buddhist, as well as Catholic and Protestant. My assignment for the day was to articulate the “Theological Ground for Peaceful Co-Existence.” Due to a front-page story in The Tennessean that mis-characterized my lecture and beliefs, numerous questions have been raised regarding what I believe, and what I said. Many have expressed feelings of dismay in response to the story, feelings I also shared when I read the report. Brief news stories can seldom do justice to substantive conversations.

“The dialogue prior to my lecture had been most encouraging and refreshing: numerous speakers had insisted that Jews, Muslims, and Christians must not pretend that our differences are insignificant. Moreover, we can acknowledge the seriousness of the differences, while honoring one another. Such conversation encouraged me, precisely because I have long disagreed with those who say that Jews, Muslims, and Christians are all “saying the same thing.” Serious adherents of their respective faiths know this is not the case.

“In my lecture, I too insisted that we must not discard what is most important to us. I am a Christian who holds, without apology, to the Lordship of Jesus. I cannot accept any strategy of “conflict resolution” that asks me to set aside that particular claim. I believe and teach that Jesus is Lord of Lords and King of Kings.

“This exclusive claim of the authority of Christ thus presents a problem for “conflict management.” I went on to ask these questions: How can the Jew or Muslim trust us Christians if we hold onto the exclusive Lordship of Jesus? Given that I refuse to deny the Lordship of Jesus, what can I or other Christians possibly contribute to peace-making, whether global or local?

“Here is my answer:

Because I profess that Jesus is Lord of Lords, I have committed myself to loving both neighbor and enemy. Because I profess that Jesus is King of Kings, I have committed myself to serving and honoring all people. Because I profess that Jesus is the ultimate authority to which all other authorities must submit, that authority requires of me to extend gracious, generous hospitality to the stranger, the pilgrim, and those who do not see the world as I see it.

“This, of course, is not how the authority of Christ has always been practiced. In serious dialog with Jews and Muslims, we American Christians, who tend to have very short historical attention spans, must acknowledge the sins of Christian history. The claim of the Lordship of Jesus has often been divorced from Jesus’ call to be merciful to those with whom we differ. In fact, the claim has often served as a battle-cry, an imperialistic profession used to destroy Jews and Muslims. In view of this history, Jews and Muslims have good reasons for not trusting those who wear the name Christian.

“Because I profess Jesus as Lord, I must let go of any strategy that seeks to violently impose “Jesus is Lord” upon another. I believe and profess “Jesus is Lord,” and am compelled by Jesus’ Lordship to share this Good News world-wide. But if such sharing treats others in a way contrary to the teachings of Jesus, I have thereby denied my profession. I choose not only to proclaim that “Jesus is Lord,” but to live Jesus as Lord, among all—believer or unbeliever, Catholic or Protestant, Muslim or Jew.”

Smoking Gun Evidence Iran Is Arming Iraqi Terrorists

Here you go:

WASHINGTON, Nov. 30, 2006 — U.S. officials say they have found smoking-gun evidence of Iranian support for terrorists in Iraq: brand-new weapons fresh from Iranian factories. According to a senior defense official, coalition forces have recently seized Iranian-made weapons and munitions that bear manufacturing dates in 2006.

This suggests, say the sources, that the material is going directly from Iranian factories to Shia militias, rather than taking a roundabout path through the black market. "There is no way this could be done without (Iranian) government approval," says a senior official.

Iranian-made munitions found in Iraq include advanced IEDs designed to pierce armor and anti-tank weapons. U.S. intelligence believes the weapons have been supplied to Iraq's growing Shia militias from Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, which is also believed to be training Iraqi militia fighters in Iran.

Evidence is mounting, too, that the most powerful militia in Iraq, Moktada al-Sadr's Mahdi army, is receiving training support from the Iranian-backed terrorists of Hezbollah.

Two senior U.S. defense officials confirmed to ABC News earlier reports that fighters from the Mahdi army have traveled to Lebanon to receive training from Hezbollah.

Now, we know the left will have to find a way to spin this. How do you think they will do it? I'm guessing they will say Iran and Hizbollah are Freedom Fighters.

What do you think?

Infidel Gal of the Week

Undoubtedly ... her.
A rocket-propelled grenade hit her, damaging the helo’s instrumentation, but instead of focusing on her predicament, she established communication with the ground forces and continued to provide them with aerial weapon support until the soldiers reached safety.

As she turned her attention to the aircraft, which was losing hydraulic power, the helo took on machine-gun fire, a round crashing into one of Hill’s ankles. Still, with a damaged aircraft and an injury, she landed at Forward Operating Base Normandy, saving her crew and aircraft.

Britain Must Be Stepping Into The Enlightenment: Pubescent Girls Allowed To Divorce

Yes, either they're are getting with the program on human rights for women, or this is another example of the eroding of Enlightenment-era Europe:

Relief for victims of under-age marriage: New bill to amend family laws
30-11-2006ISLAMABAD, Dawn: The federal cabinet on Wednesday approved a draft bill seeking amendments to the country’s family laws with a view to enabling women who are married as minors to settle long-running family feuds to obtain divorce upon reaching puberty.

Gandalf, at the great blog Up Pompeii, comments:

... to obtain a divorce UPON REACHING PUBERTY, so the poor child is traded off at who knows what age, in to who knows what kind of environment, she is a prisoner until she reaches puberty then she can get divorced.

What kind of law permits this kind of abuse, clearly only people with perverted minds would accept this horrendous abuse as normal. Now good people, do not forget that this is exactly the kind of law that the Islamic population wish to see here.

Storm Track Intimidation: Did the Islamic Reformation Already Happen?

From The Gathering Storm

A recent post at IBA, “The Thud Heard Round the World” by Atlas Shrugs brings up a worrisome idea. Do the Islamists smell blood in the water? Look at the recent aggressive actions by Islamists over the last few weeks and the think about how the aggressiveness has increased logarithmically over the last few decades.

Muslims, driven on by the Islamist agenda are flexing their muscles and intimidating the non-Muslim world more and more to accommodate to them. At the same time declaring that non-Muslims are intolerant when they react negatively to the intimidation here and here, while smiling when non-Muslims resign themselves to dhimmitude.

It seems tolerance goes only one way. How tolerant of the fears of passengers where the six imams who were removed from the flight because they stood up and made a very public display of their nightly prayers? Where was the sensitivity to those on the plan who saw a Muslim praying and feared it was in preparation to kill himself – and everyone around him? And how tolerant was the Muslim lawmaker who ranted and raved at a waiter in Manila and had him fired?

The apologists for this rude and intolerant behavior hope that moderate Muslims can rein in their errant brothers and sisters and that a reformation of Islam is the answer. Many on the right also see this reformation as necessary and, if an when it ever happens, we may have peace between Islam and the non-Muslim world. I and others have written about the need for an Islamic Reformation.

But what if it already happened?

Militant jihad is just one of tactics used by the Islamists to advance their agenda. Islamic Ideological Jihad in the form of cultural jihad is a potent weapon against the non-Muslim world.

Everyone who has been paying attention to the progression of Islamic ideological jihad being waged against the West over the last two decades should not be surprised at the response by CAIR, Islamic leaders, and of course, the media to this event. Mark my words: the plight of the Muslim leaders aboard U.S. Air Flight 300 will be a defining moment in the asymmetrical war in which we are engaged – a water shed event for the tactic of the insidiously effective tool known as Islamic ideological jihad. Expect the fallout from this event to be wide and deep, with the liberally biased media carrying the torch of “Islamophobia” to new heights…….. The tactic here, whether intentional or as a consequence of the “outrage,” will serve to shift the focus away from the threat posed by Islamic terrorism to the unfair treatment of Muslims. In wartime, (and we are at war, whether you believe it or not) this shift of focus will provide those having evil intentions against the United States to operate in a less constricted manner. Whether you believe that this is the intention by those registering objections and outrage, it will nonetheless be the result.

This ideological jihad has its roots in the Muslim Brotherhood and the “project’ that they have been pursuing for almost 100 years. Could this be the reason for the regression of Islam over that few generations? Could it be that this was the Islamic reformation? As Mark Steyn said in his new book America Alone, "We... talk airily about 'reforming' Islam. But what if the reform has already taken place, and jihadism is it?"

The Catholic Church had it reformation and it produced Protestant-ism. The Islamic reformation started by the Muslim Brotherhood and its supporters produced Islam-ism.

How to have Al Qaeda become protector of sunnis in Iraq

Iran deploys women's death squad against Sunnis in Iraq

Iran is financing and directing new ways to drive Sunnis from their homes in Iraq. One of these is the organization of a Shi'ite women's death squad. The women wear traditional Sunni dress, enter neighborhoods without causing attention, and kill their targets.

The Iranian-sponsored Mahdi Army has organized one such female death squad. Mahdi, which controls Iraq's police and security forces, has been leading nightly assaults against Sunnis, particularly in the Baghdad area.

Mahdi has not sought to hide the new squad. The Al Boraq website identified the women killers as Al Zahra. Boraq said the women have been recruited from around the country and ordered to head for Baghdad as refugees.

At this point, the Shi'ite women are said to come from the southern town of Mahmoudiya. They carry false identification papers.

Schumer, Clinton, and Iran

From an editorial from New York's premiere newspaper, the New York Sun:
New Yorkers got a reminder of just what is the nature of our adversaries yesterday when the terror-sponsoring, nuclear-bomb-building, Holocaust-denying president of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, released an open letter at the United Nations directed to the American public. It alleged that those "infamous aggressors," the "Zionists," have "imposed themselves on a substantial portion of the banking, financial, cultural and media sectors."

It is a classically anti-Semitic myth that was mobilized in the effort to kill millions of Jews in the Nazi Holocaust, the occurrence of which Mr. Ahmadinejad denies. It is a timely reminder, coming as it does at a moment when there is a little-noticed divide among New York's two senators, both senior figures in the Democratic Party, about how to handle Iran. In an interview with the Daily News that the newspaper published yesterday, Senator Schumer said of Iran, "I really think that they are an evil country, and do you talk to an evil country?"

Senator Clinton, by contrast, in her Halloween speech to the Council on Foreign Relations, accused the Bush administration of "a simplistic division of the world into good and evil. They refuse to talk to anyone on the evil side." She called that "dangerously unrealistic."

Well, chalk us up with Mr. Schumer in this matter. If Mrs. Clinton persists in deriding as "simplistic" the description of the Iranian regime as evil, she can count on the Iranian leadership to keep issuing anti-Semitic statements, arresting and beating democratic activists in its own country, and funding terrorists in Iraq, Lebanon, and Israel. If the American people get wind of it, as they probably will, and if Mrs. Clinton doesn't revise her position on the matter, we'd reckon that Mr. Schumer stands a better chance of getting elected president than she does.

Perhaps that last line was a little bit of wishful thinking. If only the country was following these developments as the readers of the Sun have.

The Evil that Men do, and Then There's Bolton

Who? What Where? Legitimate questions considering the jihad lamestream media would rather people suffer mercilessly than report the truth.
In the latest lie by mission, the MSM has no need for news reports like this. It reminds me of this news story the jihad media completely ignored (we had to go to Calcutta for that story). When the American people wake up (and they will) there will be hell to pay.

BOLTON PLEADS FOR RELEASE OF AUNG SUU KYI Financial Express [Bangladesh newspaper! Gd forbid the American media covered it - Atlas]

US ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton who is known for his aggressive diplomacy is pushing for Security Council resolution demanding immediate release of Aung Suu Kyi, the Nobel peace prize winner. Suu Kyi has been kept under detention since she won a landslide victory in Myanmar setting the goal for a return to democratic rule.

John Bolton is yet to win Senate approval and the decision is unlikely to be reversed with Democrats controlling the Senate. Democrats do not have a favourable view of Bolton.

Why? Why is that? Why is Bolton a partisan issue? The man's record is unmatched. Skanks, all.

The US ambassador to the UN has accused the military junta of Myanmar of failing to prevent the exodus of refugees and narcotics trafficking and permitting transmission of dreadful diseases like AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria outside the country. The military junta has ordered closure of five field offices of the International Red Cross sparking condemnation.

Is it Just Me, Or Is CAIR's Bedier Calling for the Return of the Caliphate?

CAIR's position on the notion of returning to the caliphate is a bit nebulous. Quotes by many CAIR leaders have been used to try and show that these CAIR members in fact want to turn the US into a caliphate, though this is more accurately a goal of theocracy. Many Muslim nations remain theocracies yet sovereign nations subject to no empire or caliphate. There is no caliph, no "unified voice", as Bedier puts it, for Muslims to speak out with. Perhaps it just slipped his mind that most Muslims at this point won't speak out against the Wahhabists, but I'll leave that to the discretion of the viewers. CAIR higher-ups recently responded rather as they do at the mention of the name "Daniel Pipes" over President Bush's use of the word caliphate, and I'm still trying to figure out their "official" stance, which is always hard with CAIR since their representatives are always running their mouths off in different directions nationwide.

This video is a seven minute third segment of a news debate between Tampa's CAIR director (and their web-trouble-maker) Ahmed Bedier and a former Catholic Priest, presided over by anchor/reporter Kathy Fountain. The discussion is almost intolerable for anyone with a knowledge of history, Islam or taqiyya, but try to get through it for the real kicker. In the three part discussion over the Crusades and the release of the film "Kingdom of Heaven", the subject of a "leader" existing to speak for all of the (Western) Christians (remember the time period here), and Ms. Fountain brings up her point that Islam perhaps needs one leader, to which Bedier responds:

Bedier: "Yeah, well, we're looking for it still. Right now....since the fall of the Ottoman Empire, uh, that was the last major Muslim organized religion, we don't really have a hierarchy that's organized how the Catholics are organized. We're looking for that, and once we have that one voice, [that] unified voice, we'll be able to speak up. Many people say all the time, 'Why aren't Muslims condemning 9/11?'. Well, we are, but we're doing it as groups, as individuals, as different mosques..."

Fountain: "And without one single voice the people like Osama bin Laden become the voice in that vacuum..."

Bedier: "Exac[tly]...and that's what's disturbing. And we're trying. But the Ottoman Empire fell because of the Allied Powers and it was caused by colonialism and so on. Again, Western always[??] going there and dividing the ottoman Empire like it is now."

Never mind that the Ottoman Empire joined the Axis powers to fight AGAINST the Allies, and were already called "The Sick Old man of the Bosphorus" in its obvious state of decline. But I needn't analyse, all one must do is watch. Just note how unquestioning Fountain is of Bedier's statements, never really challenging (she probably knows as much history as most news anchors), but instead laying down the segways for Bedier's next absurd claim.

I am in contact with this station now, and am discussing this problem. I hope that a solution is found. I will post on this later, but at this point I can say definitively that those I've spoken with are concerned about CAIR being a danger and aren't overly fond of Bedier. The claim, as usual, is that no other spokesperson can be found. Can they not be found, or does CAIR just consider this their turf? I'm beginning to believe that CAIR is bullying many Muslims as much as they do everyone else. Rest assured though, through our own programs of educating the media about CAIR, at least on local levels, people who misrepresent the truth as blatantly as Bedier will no longer be seen as credible.

Now you tell me. Does he endorse a return to the caliphate, even if not by name, or not? Roll tape....

Al-Sadr Tells Maliki: "Don't Meet Bush" - Meeting Is Cancelled

And, I think the White House is spinning it now. You be the judge.

This morning the report came out that al-Sadr had threatened to pull his members out of Maliki's Parliamentary coalition (via Washington Post):

AMMAN (Reuters) - Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki flew to Jordan for crisis talks with President Bush on Wednesday, prompting a radical Shi'ite faction to suspend participation in his government in anger. Iranian-backed cleric Moqtada al-Sadr, who leads the Mehdi Army militia, was making good on a threat to boycott parliament and Maliki's coalition if the premier met the U.S. president.

And this afternoon, the story is being told this way (via AP):

AMMAN, Jordan - President Bush's high-profile meeting with Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki on Wednesday was canceled in a stunning turn of events after disclosure of U.S. doubts about the Iraqi leader's capabilities and a political boycott in Baghdad protesting his attendance.

Instead of two days of talks, Bush and al-Maliki will have breakfast and a single meeting followed by a news conference on Thursday morning, the White House said. The abrupt cancellation was an almost unheard-of development in the high-level diplomatic circles of a U.S. president, a king and a prime minister.

White House counselor Dan Bartlett denied that the delay was a snub by al-Maliki directed at Bush or was related to the leak of a memo written by White House National Security Adviser
Stephen Hadley questioning the prime minister's capacity for controlling violence in Iraq.

No, I don't think Bush did snub Maliki. I think Maliki snubbed Bush. What do you think?

That's right, the place has been invaded by eskimos as well

CNN: Pelosi: It's 'sad' Bush is blaming Iraqi insurgent violence on al-Qaeda

It's sad that we can't have a single effing politician who is both realistic and non-partisan enough to admit we have BOTH civil war, and Al Qaeda, and that Syria, and Iran are fueling both since what they all want is ragnarok.

Bush sounds like a moron.
Pelosi sounds like a moron.

House Speaker-elect Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) told reporters on Wednesday that she feels it is "sad" that President Bush continues to blame Iraqi insurgent violence on al Qaeda.

"My thoughts on the president's representations are well-known," Pelosi said. "The 9/11 Commission dismissed that notion a long time ago and I feel sad that the president is resorting to it again."

During a joint press conference with the president of Estonia, Bush was asked by a reporter if he worried that calling the situation in Iraq "a civil war would make it difficult to argue that we're fighting the central front of the war on terror there."

Bush responded that "there's all kinds of speculation about what may be or not happening."

"There's a lot of sectarian violence taking place, fomented, in my opinion, because of these attacks by al Qaeda, causing people to seek reprisal," Bush said. "And we will work with the Maliki government to defeat these elements."

Pelosi's statement also followed a press briefing in Baghdad earlier today, where a US military spokesman was unable to state clearly what role al Qaeda plays in Iraq violence.

Displaying a series of slides and charts, the spokesman for the multinational forces in Iraq claimed that "since October of 2004, we have now killed or captured over 7,000 al Qaeda in Iraq terrorists."

It IS the war on terror.
It's also civil war.
It's fed by evil nations with evil intent, one calling on their version of god and the other LITERALLY the detritus of national socialism.
Neither Bush nor Pelosi has excuse or room. We are not fighting over the amount of govt help for seniors taking LIPITOR, you fucking morons. We're going to fire you both

It's absurd to claim this is all Al Qaeda, and it's absurd to claim it's not Al Qaeda.

Al Qaeda is probably the agent offering to protect the Sunnis from Moqtadr al Sadr !
I just hope they are as pathetic in leadership as we are right now.

This is the most disgusted I have been since 2001.

Tony Blair Pulls a Clinton

In 1807 one of the largest slave holding empires in the world outlawed the slave trade. No, it wasn’t the Ottoman Empire. It was, of course, Great Britain. England outlawed the slave trade because, as a result of the Enlightenment, it was judged as a moral abomination. At a ceremony commemorated the 200 anniversary of this epic changing act, British Prime Minister Tony Blair really had nothing to say on this historic change in moral perspective. Nor did he comment that England’s and the West’s subsequent abandonment of slavery was virtually without historic precedent or that at the time no other civilization was at all concerned with the morality of slavery and/or forced labor.

Instead, Tony Blair decided to use the opportunity to spit upon his ancestors and display an appalling ignorance of his nation’s own history:

The Prime Minister plans to go further than any previous leader in seeking to distance himself from the actions of the British Empire, nearly 200 years after the 1807 legislation that led to slavery's abolition. However, he will stop short of making an explicit apology despite years of pressure from some black campaigners and community leaders.

“It is hard to believe that what would now be a crime against humanity was legal at the time,' the Prime Minister will say. "Personally I believe the bicentenary offers us a chance not just to say how profoundly shameful the slave trade was - how we condemn its existence utterly and praise those who fought for its abolition, but also to express our deep sorrow that it ever happened, that it ever could have happened and to rejoice at the different and better times we live in today.” [Emphasis added]

Funny, I haven’t read any praise of the British subjects who fought to end the slave trade and slavery or any statements on this subject, nor of the Parliament that passed the law, however contrary to British economic interests. I have also not read of anyone holding a commemoration in thanks to the Royal Navy. It was the RN that ended the Atlantic slave trade; this is simply a matter of historical record.

As is typical in this sort of thing no mention is made of the Arab slave trade. By many estimates this trade rivaled the Atlantic slave trade in numbers, albeit over a longer period of time. Saudi Arabia abolished slavery in 1962, but don’t expect any apologies from that quarter. While Western leaders engage in moral exhibitionism and self-flagellation on a practice that had existed since the dawn of history, these same leaders ignore the ongoing slavery that still thrives in many places in the world. So while Tony Blair indulges in disgusting self-abasement actually existing slavery is ignored:

In Sudan, slavery is making a comeback as the result of a war waged over the past twelve years by the Muslim north against the Christians and Animists in the south. Sudan means "land of the blacks" in Arabic, and for centuries black Africans were abducted in Sudan as part of the Arabian slave trade. Anti-Slavery Group researchers have described a revival of a racially-based slave trade, where armed northern militias raid the southern civilian villages for slaves. Reports to the UN Commission on Human Rights have underscored the racial aspect of such practices: victims are exclusively persons belonging to the indigenous tribes of the Nuba Mountains (darker-skinned Africans). Government-armed Arab militias are known to kill the men and enslave the women and children as personal property or to march them north to be auctioned off and sold.

The question is why Western leaders such as Tony Blair are motivated by such unearned guilt. One has to wonder at the grotesque double standards in operation on the relentless attack on the history of the West. In 1998 President Clinton went to Africa in order to apologize to any and all who would listen to his revolting performance. This is the same Clinton who ignored current human rights atrocities being committed on that continent:

Dr. George B.N. Ayittey, a Ghanaian who teaches economics at American University, estimates that since the 1960s at least 5 million Africans have been killed in civil wars, purges and inter-tribal massacres, including 1 million Nigerians, 800,000 Rwandans (in a three-month period), 400,000 in Burundi since 1993, over 1 million during Angola's 20-year civil war and 800,000 in Mozambique.

According to some sources Iran has put 4,000 men to death for the “crime” of being homosexual. Don’t hold your breath for any apologies from the Mad Mullahs of that theocracy. To paraphrase Ayn Rand, we live in an age of militant, self-righteous evil and cowardly, compromising good. It is only evil that can benefit from such a state of affairs. That’s something to think about as some people continue to whine for “reparations” for crimes committed long ago, while they either ignore or abet atrocities that occur in many places around the world on a daily basis.
