I found this great John McCain video today on You Tube. It really show's McCain's humility, pride and strength.
John McCain definitely has his detractors. But, as more and more people are coming to realize, he is who we have. An Obama or Clinton presidency, would be a nightmare for our country. John McCain understands we need to continue this fight. His ability to reach across party lines, is to his and our benefit.
If he has any chance to win, he needs our support.

Hmmm.....What has Maverick to say about the Islamic Jihad against the West [in general] and CAIR [in particular].
Does Maverick understand?
Does he CAIR?
Or does he find the subject boring and not worthy of his attention?
(We are at war with ISLAM....or at the very least...they are certainly at war with US!)
What would Maverick McCain have to say about the Infidels?
What would candidate McCain have to say about our enemies? (No one has been allowed to ask him....until very recently.
Would you give your vote to someone who would make the efforts of the Infidel Bloggers Alliance be for nought?
War
First of all, I do not feel that cutting and running from Iraq, is in our or the world's best interests. John McCain will not cut and run.
Regarding the "big war" in general, this is what he had to say in more than one of his speeches:
Or will we risk the confused leadership of an inexperienced candidate who once suggested invading our ally, Pakistan, and sitting down without pre-conditions or clear purpose with enemies who support terrorists and are intent on destabilizing the world by acquiring nuclear weapons?
The most important obligation of the next President is to protect Americans from the threat posed by violent extremists who despise us, our values and modernity itself. They are moral monsters, but they are also a disciplined, dedicated movement driven by an apocalyptic zeal, which celebrates murder, has access to science, technology and mass communications, and is determined to acquire and use against us weapons of mass destruction. The institutions and doctrines we relied on in the Cold War are no longer adequate to protect us in a struggle where suicide bombers might obtain the world's most terrifying weapons.
If we are to succeed, we must rethink and rebuild the structure and mission of our military; the capabilities of our intelligence and law enforcement agencies; the purposes of our alliances; the reach and scope of our diplomacy; the capacity of all branches of government to defend us. We need to marshal all elements of American power: our military, economy, investment, trade and technology and our moral credibility to win the war against Islamic extremists and help the majority of Muslims, who believe in progress and peace, win the struggle for the soul of Islam.
Like I said in my post, John McCain is not perfect, but in regards to what we discuss here at IBA, he is a hell of a lot better than the alternatives.
Hope that answered your question.
I don't know...I am very confused...was Mao more conservative than Ho Chi Minh? Which one was a better Republicrat? I sort of like Pol Pot because he was strong on defence.....but of course Fidel's foreign policy is world famous.
I wish I had listened to Limbaugh a bit mor[on]. Gosh! He sure is shmart! And what a hero!
So Michael, is it Clinton or Obama who's gettin' your vote?
She got you, Michael.
While you are right in what you are saying, you certainly wouldn't vote for Clinton or Obama, would you?
Michael,
The fact that McCain has ended up being the Republican nominee, has caught the whole right wing by surprise.
Most of us had to take a time out, pout and digest this.
But, the fact is he is who we have. Like a lot of people on this side of the fence, the #1 issue is national security.
That is my #1 issue and the fact remains, without that, the rest of the items on my list would not matter in the least.
We have a choice, vote for the less than desireable McCain, who appears to have a clue or give up our country to one of the two Dems that haven't got a clue in hell and will drive us to damnation.
All we can do right now, is go into the "safer" zone for 4 years. We will have our own "re-do" then.
We have been given lemons, we must make lemonaide, even if it is "unsweetened".
"We have been given lemons, we must make lemonade,"
That's just the point! Something is very wrong with us.....we do not deserve to be called "Americans" after adopting whimpering, Communist, Nanny Statist attitudes.
And Pastorius...you KNOW that I'd rather move to Cuba than to vote for either that psycho-bitch or Colonel Qadaffy-Duck!
We must not accept the unacceptable.
Welcome to Post-America
Michael, If we don't vote for McCain, who do we vote for? A 3rd party candidate, who doesn't have a chance in hell to win?
Yes, it would be a "strong stand", opposing McCain, to make a statement. But, it would weaken the Republican vote and elect a democrat.
Don't vote, vote for a 3rd party candidate, hell move to Cuba if you wish. That is your prerogative. This is America, afterall.
Personally, I do not feel "weak" if I vote for McCain. If it keeps Clinton & Obama out of the white house.
Michael,
Welcome to the Pre-Future.
The Future is inevitable, and it is bearing down on us with a speed which makes already palpable.
