The Beginning of the End of Islamic Expansion

Italy's Northern League has the right idea: No concessions to Islam. In this case, no new mosques. Here's the story:
Italy is fighting a rapidly increasing Muslim presence by introducing a bill to block construction of Islamic mosques and prohibit minarets, or prayer watchtowers, and loudspeaker chants.

Italy's Northern League, a political movement that is part of Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi's governing coalition, introduced the legislation. According to a Financial Times report, Northern League Chief of Deputies Roberto Cota will present the bill to parliament next week.

The proposal will also require mosques to be at least one kilometer away from nearby churches, and sermons must be conducted in Italian rather than Arabic.

Critics say the bill will face insurmountable challenges because it violates constitutional rights and lacks support from Berlusconi's Forza Italia Party and the National Alliance. However, the Catholic UDC Party supports the bill.
It's a simple stand, and our influence over everyone we have influence over can help cause this to be an international cry: No concessions for Islam.

Citizen Warrior,

That new pick of yours is impressive.

One problem is that it may violate the Italian constitution. That said, I don't expect or think the Italians should treat their constitution as a suicide packed. However they wouldn't be in this situation in the first place if they hadn't had such a liberal immigration policy, low birth rate and been more willing to stand up for their values in recent years. This is shaky ground. I hope they are willing to do what is necessary to preserve western civilization and protect their people from the evil of Sharia, but I also hope that in the process, they don't sacrifice essential liberty and lose the values that made the west great.

Most Western Nations have laws on the books to prevent hate speech. These laws are used against Christians all the time. The laws should be used to come down on Islamic Preachers that preach hate against other religions in their weekly Sermons. It wouldn't be difficult, just have an undercover cop enter a mosque with a tape recorder and record the regular sermon.

Anonymous,

Yeah, but how likely is it that they would do that? How likely is it that the government will start sending agents into mosques to prosecute Muslims for hate speech? One argument against hate speech laws is that they tend to be misused. That said, deep down inside, I would love to give these fundamentalist fascist monsters a small taste of their own medicine.

Zoning laws prevent the proliferation of nuisances in the US. Doesn't Italy have such laws.

its will not pass...

our democracy's are our strength and on the other hand in this case they are our greatest weakness.

in 40 years most of europe population will be old and the young work force from asia will take your place

and with their unwillingness to assimilate your culture your way of life will be lost...

here is what happened in Lebanon with their multi cultural open society:

Anonymous, I feel you are overconfident in your pessimistic prediction. Even if right at this moment you are correct in your assessment, sometimes people change the way they think.

The point of all the work we're doing here is to change the bleak future we all see as a possibility. So if you're trying to motivate people with "your way of life will be lost" that might work, but if you convinced someone of that, it also might make them give up, and we don't need anyone giving up. We need all the able-bodied, motivated people in this fight that we can get.

I don't know who you are, anonymous (because you're anonymous) so maybe you aren't actually pessimistic and demoralized. But if you are, let me know and I can give you some resources to help you pull yourself out of it. Pessimism and demoralization are bad for your health, they weaken and disable you (and anyone you infect with them), and they're not enjoyable either.

It's really worth the time to get rid of pessimism if you have it.

Great point, C-dub.

I'm glad you are offering your optimism here.

I've always thought and written that I believe it is inevitable that we will win this war.

The only concern I have which is negative is, will we start fighting soon, and thus cut our losses, or will we appease and thus increase our future losses?

Your?

pessimism or not stats and demographics dont lie.

in 40 years Europe will change greatly.

its upon u to dicied in which way you will stern your destiny.

and i still stand by what i said, it has no bearing on pessimism or optimism but rather attributes to my estimate of the situation in europe at this point.

So then, what is your point? Are you giving up?

Damien said...

Pastorius,

I hope he is not giving up. Who ever he is we need as many allies in this fight as possible.
