Not the solution. Former Labour supporters won't vote UKIP because they are former "Tories" who became dissillusioned re Europe.

Tory voters might occasionally vote UK - Euro Elections - but they won't risk splitting the Tory vote so that labour get back in.

if labour supporters vote BNP as a lot surely will - 'cos they are the people living amongst the Muslims - then that will let the Tories in, which can only be good.

I don't understand what you are talking about politically, cuz I'm not on the ground.

But, the BNP are a racist party, and the UKIP are not.

Therefore, the UKIP are more Western.

That was a very interesting interview. When I heard Muslims are 2% I was stunned. By all accounts that I've read it seems that small percentage is running roughshod over everybody.

I don't have a lot of experience with the British but my sense is they are a very tough people when need be and they have the patience of Job. That patience is wearing out.

If any Muslim reads this comment, you've been warned. One incident will ignite this and when it does Muslims will be begging to get out of Britain. My 2 pennies.

USMC,
Every time you comment, it makes me happy. You seem to think like me. You are a true optimist. Or really, you are a practical optimist based upon historical perspective, I believe.

Ray,
They were forced to make that decision by the government.

London - The far-right British National Party voted on Sunday to drop its whites-only membership policy, following a threat of legal action.

Party leader Nick Griffin said he expected a "trickle, rather than a flood" of applications after race relations laws forced the party to amend its constitution to allow black and British Asian people to join.

"Anyone can be a member of this party. We are happy to accept anyone as a member providing they agree with us that this country should remain fundamentally British," he told Sky News television.

The leader said he expected to welcome the party's first non-white member, a Sikh called Rajinder Singh, soon.

"I will be absolutely delighted to shake his hand and give him his membership card," said Griffin.

Legal action

A London court had ordered the party to amend its constitution to comply with race relations legislation.

The court warned the BNP that it would face legal action from the Equality and Human Rights Commission, an independent body set up by the government, if it failed to change its membership policy.

"Every time you comment, it makes me happy." Thanks, man!

"You seem to think like me."

Actually, you've influenced me. Was it not you who said Obama will not finish his term due to political chaos? If so, I've jumped on that train of thought.

"Or really, you are a practical optimist based upon historical perspective, I believe."

Yes, I do believe in the end freedom will ring. If we look at the news from another angle you can see an undercurrent or a riptide of freedom flowing.

The progressive movement is collapsing I do believe major scandals will come to light and bring this system down. It will be painful nonetheless.

Nah! Just left out the legal bit because defacto they are not racist. They had Hindus and Sikhs wanting to join before this, and indeed taking part in events.

The government backed Equality Commission has done this to try to bankrupt them so they can't fight a general election - that's how scared Labour is.

They have a slick Obama style web based contribution facility and they ask for and get all they need from members and sympathisers.

No, I haven't contributed to them, I am an observer.

USMC,
Yes, I expect a lot of pain over the next year or so. That's the way life is.
