UNREAL: DHS Collected Information on Wisconsin Pro-Life Activists Even Though They Posed No Security Threat, Attempted to Destroy Copies of Report...

Opposed to the wholesale slaughter of the unborn? The Obama administration would like a word with you....

Madison, Wis. (AP) - The U.S. Department of Homeland Security conducted a threat assessment of local pro- and anti-abortion rights activists before an expected rally last year, even though they did not pose a threat to national security.

The DHS destroyed or deleted its copies of the assessment after an internal review found it violated intelligence-gathering guidelines by collecting and sharing information about "protest groups which posed no threat to homeland security," according to a department memo written last year.

The ACLU is speaking out against this action by the Department of Homeland Security. Click the title to go read the whole story at Weasel Zippers.

Pastorius,

One might wonder where all the concern for Islamic terrorism is in this administration. I'm mean regardless of your view of abortion, how many terrorist attacks by pro lifers on abortion clinics have there been in the past ten years as opposed to the number of terrorist attacks committed by Muslim Jihadists trying to spread the word of the prophet and subdue infidels?

I wonder is the DHS ever goes to rallies of the Muslim Students Association and collects information on the people at those rallies?

"Without Exception" on a "pro-lifer's" t-shirt means "Let the Women Die". That's what it has to mean or the person wearing it is evading the truth. If the choice is the life of the woman or the fetus, let the bitch die.

Some of you want to call us "pro-death"? What do you call letting women die?

So, your assessment is that a t-shirt - which must be translated, from english to english - is a threat worthy of attention from the DHS? I think it quite likely that that the shirt wearer has a different interpretation from those that would seem to suggest that every pregnancy is fatal to the mother. The fact is very few pro-lifers are against exceptions that balance threats to the mothers life. This is a straw man created by a pro-convenience-consequences-be-damned movement. You know, the kind of people that got all bent out of shape about Tim Tebow's mother telling him that she loved him.

Revere Rides Again,

You actually think that anyone who has a problem with abortion like myself, thinks that women should die from things like ectopic pregnancies? The early feminists actually opposed abortion, believe it or not. Now do I expect that fact to change you, and turn agianst abortion? No. Am I trying to do that by pointing it out? No. But I am trying to get you rethink your extreme position on this matter. The idea that everyone who feels any uneasiness when it comes to abortion hates women or wants women to die from an unsafe pregnancy is completely unfounded.
