Daughter #3 started back to school today. Junior High. Not so traumatic I've been through this twice before (granted, the last time was a decade ago). But back in May I really thought I'd be gainfully re-employed by now. No such luck. yet.
So it's back to making lunches.

Hi Midnight.
I know it might sound a bit thin, but the kids just love to come home to a place where food is on the stove and that they know a parent is there.I say this cause i make dinner every day for my 2 kids and when i leave abroad they really cross the calendar till i'm back.We may not make lots of money but we have all the time in the world to spend with the
kids ,they know we are always there for them ,and this will never leave their memories.
I don't disagree with a word you said.
The kids love my cookin' because I cook heavier/richer than my wife and always cook far too much.
They like her cookin' but it's a diference in styles. She grew up in a large family on a broke dairy farm. Meals were always light.
I have a much more Pennsylvania Dutch attitude towards food.
But I got to pay the bills as well. SO I hope when I finally get resituated I am able to find a better home/work balance than the last place. Becaue the last half dozen years there were rough on it.
