MSM Hypocrisy

I was in Vienna on September 16th, 2010, the date of the Pope’s UK visit. As my practice in country’s where they don’t have English TV channels for entertainment sake, I flip through all the channels to look for any English language news channel.

So this particular day I just happened to be watching CNN as it was covering the Pope visit and I came upon the following comment from Monita Rajpal:

Listen in at about 1:20 where Monita asks Luke Coppen of the Catholic Herald, “There are huge expectation of the Pope, there are huge expectations of the Catholic church…what can the church as an entity do for victims?”

Now I am not saying that the priests that abused innocent children were not Catholics. I am also not saying that what they did is according to the Bible (because it is not). And on top of that, I am also not saying that the Pope should be let off the hook. The Pope is the head of the Catholic church so it is his responsibility to make the wrongs committed by priests under him right. However, CNN is putting all Catholics in one basket here. CNN wants or at least expects all Catholics to do something about the child abuse scandal even though it is not all of Catholics’ fault. Why does the “church as an entity” need to do something for the victims and not just the priests who are responsible for it?

I would let it pass if that was all I heard on CNN. But CNN covered the case of Nidal Hasan Malik way too differently (along with other Islamic terrorist attacks). Take a look:

Watch the whole video but listen to Dr. Phil and Shoshana at the end saying that holding Islam responsible for these acts, or rather even naming Islam in all of this, is “dangerous” and “irresponsible”.

Why is it so easy for these liberals to hold all Catholics responsible for what their priests did INSPITE of their religion but they can’t hold Muslims responsible for what they do BECAUSE of their religion? I know, I know…Muslims kill and threaten to kill so don’t tick them off. Whereas Christians, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, Wiccans, Freemasons, Scientologists etc don’t so they are fair game.

Gah, I'm embarassed to say I once thought of Dr. Phil as an intelligent person.

HOW can anyone with two sparking neurons NOT connect all the neon flashing dots.

~Founder of the cult - murderer, pedophile, spiteful sand pirate.
~History of the cult - expansion, conquest, killing, rape, pillage.
~Obvious motives behind the vast majority of terrorist attacks - proud as a peacock islamic.
~Prominent themes saturating their pseudo-religious war manual - killlllll, deceive, growwww
~Percentage of the 9/11 terrorists islamic fundamentalist - 100%
~Percentage of 9/11 terrorists non-islamic - 0%

Dr. Phil, that lame ROP dog don't hunt. Or do you suppose all free people are brain dead panty pissing liberal cowards? Admit it doc, if you could travel back in time to speak to Neville Chamberlain as he waved his pathetic little piece of paper, wouldn't you just want to say: "How's that appeasement thing workin' for ya?"

Great post, AA.

The answer here is;

1) The MSM is right to hold the Catholic Church, in general, responsible for wrong done by it's Priests and Bishops, especially because the Cardinals and the Pope were aware of the problem, and failed to do anything about it.

2) In the case of Islam, there is not the same organized hierarchy. Islam's organization is much more diffuse, unless you are talking about nations like Iran or Saudi Arabia, where it is, at least, as organized. Still, the negative aspects of Sharia are promoted by the Imams, the Mullahs, and the Academics, and they are promoted through the Islamic version of the MSM, and they trickle down to the average person from there.

3) The order to rape little boys does not come from the Pope, nor does it come from the Cardinals or the Bishops. The Priests did what they did and then, unfortunately, the Cardinals and the Bishops chose to ignore it.

4) The leaders of Islam directly give the orders to kill Infidels, gays, apostates, and adulterers, and the followers follow these orders.

5) The Islamic scriptures order the killing of Infidels, gays, apostates, etc. The catholic scriptures do not order Priests to rape little boys.

So, it would seem that even though the Islamic hierarchy is more diffuse, Islam is MORE CULPABLE than is the upper echelon of the Catholic Church.
