New York: Muslim Beheads Wife - Claims He Was "Abused"

This is disgusting. Aasiya Zubair Hassan had been abused by her husband "Moe" for years. He has been jailed since turning himself in to Orchard Park police about an hour after allegedly beheading his estranged wife and business partner, Aasiya, in their TV studio. The week before, the victim had filed for divorce and obtained a court order of protection against Hassan, to keep him away from their home — the scene of a dozen domestic problem incidents in recent years, according to police.

Muzzammil “Mo” HASSAN was the founder and chief executive officer of Bridges TV, a Buffalo, NY-based Islamic television Network. He founded it in 2004 amid hopes that it would help portray Muslims in a more positive light.
Back in August of 2009, he was pleading insanity. I guess that "defense" tactic went on the chopping block.
The beheader is crying "abuse"; how very jihad.
Beheading Was Result Of 'Battered Spouse Syndrome'
Though it appears obvious that last year’s beheading of a Muslim woman in Buffalo, N.Y., was an honor killing, the judge in the case will allow the defendant to present a case that he was domestically abused and lashed back at his wife in self defense. Officially, it’s called battered spouse syndrome.’’

I guess it's really important that judges have well developed sense of humor...
I think his only hope is that NY would establish Sharia Courts before this goes to trial -- they'd acquit him.
Maybe he can try beheading the Judge and the entire Jury.
I grew up ten minutes from O.P. new york, it is still an upscale expensive community.

becuase he and his beheaded wife were founders of a cable channel touting how wonderful, moderate and misunderstood islam is by americans.

Wow. Silent Muslims turn a blind eye to someone beating and killing in the name of their religion. Nothing new.
