1914 is an EXCELLENT icon. We've blown right by 1848 and 1968.
The potentials here are something else, and the old alliances may not bring about expected results.

That's what I think. This has the potential to change the world the way WWI did.
Whereas many saw WWII coming (and were largely ignored) few if any foresaw the absolute carnage that would so begin in 1914. It was a paradigm shift.
