What good is the Iron Dome system if it doesn't cease the existence of a terrorist outfit itself?

A school student and a bus driver were wounded in a missile attack today. The IDF has retaliated, and their Iron Dome counter-missile system did shoot down an enemy missile, but it's not satisfying.

If the Hamas continues to operate in Gaza, they'll not only still have every chance of obtaining rockets, but they'll continue to fire them regardless, and the chance they'll make it through the defense system is quite possible too. The same goes for Hezbollah in Lebanon: what if they've rearmed since 2006?

So the question now is, when is the government finally going to authorize a full ground strike on Gaza and destroy Hamas once and for all? They're only making a joke of themselves, including if they're worried about an international condemnation. Sooner or later, they're going to have to do it.

A punitive expedition is stupid.
It will accomplish 3% more than Iron Dome and bring down Goldstone Report II.

In 20 years either HAMAS or Israel will be dead.

Make it HAMAS, NOW.

Go thru the formalities of declaring a war and, the debate.

Then, KILL THEM ALL.

After the squawking from Salam Fayyad et al, they will appreciate DEAD HAMAS.

And peace MIGHT become possible. As long as HAMAS exists, there can never be peace.

PERIOD

Iron Dome is great and may one day save Israel from a serious missile attack (possibly nuclear).

There will never be peace as long as Mohammedanism exists, or at least till it is SEVERELY and mercilessly chastised.

O.K. !

Now,while I'm writing this lines, the system has proven itself ! Bravo IDF!

The system detected automatically the firing of three 'Grad' rockets from northern Gaza into Israel towards targets near the town of Ashkelon. The system 'decided autonomously' to lock itself on two missiles and leave the third to "commit suicide" on a rocky hill ! The two 'Grads' were destroyed in mid air without causing any damage !

So far - perfect !

But ! I still stand by General Patton !

LET YOUR ENEMY PROTECT HIMSELF TO DEATH !
( " LET YOUR ENEMY DIE FOR HIS COUNTRY ! " )

There's another reason why Israel can't keep fighting from a distance - the Hamas is enforcing increasing sharia tactics. We can't keep ignoring that.
