And apparently one of them is a physicist

1 IN 4 AMERICANS UNAWARE THAT EARTH CIRCLES SUN

Americans are enthusiastic about the promise of science but lack basic knowledge of it, with one in four unaware that the Earth revolves around the Sun, said a poll out Friday.

The survey included more than 2,200 people in the United States and was conducted by the National Science Foundation.

Ten questions about physical and biological science were on the quiz, and the average score — 6.5 correct — was barely a passing grade.

Just 74 percent of respondents knew that the Earth revolved around the Sun, according to the results released at the American Association for the Advancement of Science meeting in Chicago.
And then ….

CBS BLAMES GLOBAL WARMING FOR BAD WINTER

During the February 13 broadcast of CBS This Morning, host Charlie Rose and his guest turned to the topic of this year’s harsh winter, calling the extreme cold an example of global warming.

Guest Michio Kaku, a physics professor from New York City College—not a climatologist, but a physicist—claimed that the “wacky weather” could get “even wackier” and its all because of global warming. “What we’re seeing is that the jet stream and the polar vortex are becoming unstable. Instability of historic proportions. We think it’s because of the gradual heating up of the North Pole. The North Pole is melting,” professor Kaku said.
"That excess heat generated by all this warm water is destabilizing this gigantic bucket of cold air… So that’s the irony, that heating could cause gigantic storms of historic proportions," the prof explained.
This was all because of global warming, Rose insisted.
So we don’t know where the sun is, however, the geniuses do know when it’s too warm it’s global warming and when it’s too cold it’s global warming.
Maybe these are the people who created healthcare.gov and the new healthcare tax?

When the first railways were proposed in the early 1800's quite a few prominent scientist got together to warn the public that this was a major danger, the excessive speeds were likely to tear the human body apart. Just imagine the horrors of sitting in your carriage when your left arm flies off into the unknown. The same with the first motor-car, the giants of intellect governing England passed the very wise law -which is still on the books - that all motorised vehicles must have a man waving a red flag running in front of it. They should enforce that particular law, it would solve the unemployment situation overnight and provide an instant cure for the nations obesity.
