The White House provided no explanation Monday amid questions over why the president had not ordered flags across the nation to half-staff in the wake of a Chattanooga, Tenn., shooting that killed five servicemembers.Read the rest HERE.
Spokesman Josh Earnest said President Barack Obama offered condolences last week and may speak to veterans at VFW conference Tuesday about the shooting, but he had no further comment.
Obama has issued presidential proclamations that lowered flags at federal facilities and military bases after many mass shootings, including attacks at the Washington Navy Yard, Fort Hood in Texas, and Sandy Hook elementary in Connecticut. The lack of a proclamation following the deaths of four Marines and sailor in a possible terrorist attack Thursday by a 24-year-old Muslim man rankled some and spark online outrage.
“I don’t have more information about the status of the flag over the White House,” Earnest said, responding to a question at a daily briefing Monday with the press....
Let us remember that Obama ordered the lowering of United States flags when Nelson Mandela died in 2013. But not for five of our servicemen slaughtered right here on our home soil? GRRRRRR!

He is half way in his second term. He does not need to pretend any more. Gloves are off. We are seeing now the real BHO, the one I saw as soon as he appeared from nowhere six years ago, blew to pieces the most powerful political couple in the world, and proceeded to the WH with just personal charm, a troubling personal background (for those willing to see it,) and "0" accomplishments. His only professional known activity being that of a "community organizer," code word for political agitators.
The Iranian agreement went to the UN before the US Congress had a chance to look at it, much less ratify it.
This is a sample of what we will see in the coming 18 months. Our national sovereignty will be packaged and delivered to the UN, and silence will reign on this land.
Apparently the pope is obsessed with the devil. He should know since he is so close to it. Devil is evil, and evil reigns unleashed in the XXI century, while the good people of the world remain silent and paralyzed.
The truth is that being an optimist able to see the smallest grain of corn in a big pile of dung, I do not see a way out of this. Both political parties, those who we elect and are supposed to represent us, give evidence they are, at least most of them, gone to the dark side. Why? I cannot even imagine. It sure makes good material for a SciFi movie titled "The Mind Snatchers."
But what I do know is that we are leaving a very sinister future for those we brought into this world, and will be left behind to fend for themselves in a world for which we have not prepared them.
Dark view? Perhaps, so please enlighten me, and show me what options are open to us.
And please don't mention open revolt, when the outcome will be the total annihilation of those willing to risk it. This is not XVIII century America, when both people and military forces were similarly armed.
