In a controversial decision by the State Attorney's Office on Thursday, the Arab men who threw rocks at Alexander Levlovich and killed him as he was driving in his car on Rosh Hashanah Eve were indicted on manslaughter charges instead of murder.Oh, that is just plain stupid. Anyone who throws rocks with such weight as they did knows it could lead to death, and that's what happened. The state attorney is an embarrassment, and should be replaced with somebody whose understanding of these issues is better.
The five defendants, residents of the Sur Baher neighborhood of east Jerusalem, were charged with a series of other serious crimes, including causing grievous bodily harm, reckless endangerment, assaulting a police officer, arson and weapons manufacturing.
The Jerusalem District Prosecutor's Office explained that a murder charge requires proof of prior intent, for which sufficient evidence was unattainable.
All of us, every single man, woman, and child on the face of the Earth were born with the same unalienable rights; to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. And, if the governments of the world can't get that through their thick skulls, then, regime change will be necessary.
