Manchester – ‘You Can’t Kill Your Way Out of It’

You are rushing into war with one of the most powerful, ingeniously mechanical, and determined people on Earth — right at your doors. You are bound to fail. Only in your spirit and determination are you prepared for war. In all else you are totally unprepared, with a bad cause to start with. – GUESS WHO
I had been looking for this quote and searched for ‘war is war quote’, and here in the west if you do this, you will find all the ‘war’ quotes (save that of Faramir, which is FANTASY…notable exception) are in fact ANTI WAR quotes.
This war we are engaged in, not of our making, is in fact begun from that basis. Our innate feeling towards war, is ANTI-WAR.
More Americans died at the outset of this war than at Pearl Harbor yet days after Dec. 7th , 1941 we did not hear FDR tell us that the Japanese culture was one of peace.
What happened last night should remind us of the fact we are in a war. There is no avoiding it.
It would be nice to see the donations of those people in the world to these mass murderers whose targets are both strategically the Innocent and tactically the innocent dry up. But those making the donations to ‘fighters’ DEPEND on our reluctance to kill the ‘innocent’.
It is compulsory, ESPECIALLY after the speech, and implicit warning Trump gave, to communicate to KSA, QATAR, UAE, and every other Muslim majority nation, that this is the last chance to strangle ISIS, AQ and every other Salafi and Shia organization dedicated to violent Dawa as the ultimate tool of Islam.
It is these malignant murderers who must be destroyed. But if this does not occur, and those who support them depend on the desire of the west to protect the innocent among them, then we must acknowledge the ultimate result.
Real war there
or
Loss of freedom of every kind here.
We need to acknowledge what the ultimate outcome of these actions must be.
And there will be no boots on the ground and no ‘conquest’
Only horror
But it was not our choice to begin this, and we will be very sorry

BTW Faramir's quote:
"War must be, while we defend our lives against a destroyer who would devour all; but I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend:

A sentiment of anti-war in the face of war is as logical as the woman who is being raped taking her mind elsewhere and musing that she will never be raped.

The Brits had the Thames/Parliament attack. Now this. Dead Children. It sounds like a heavy metal band. But it is real. Dead little British girls.

We have proven ourselves weak to really, really tackle this fight - which is about confrontation of an ideology and obliterating the same.

The Manchester spokesman states they will "work together" and couples the term with the word "strength". No.... no.... no. You work against. Work against - an ideology which straps on a bomb with nails and bolts and detonates in the presence of children. Work against. Never, never.... with. Working with such ideology only strengthens and perpetuates the same.

When it comes to quotes on War, I always like General Patton:

The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.
