The Cal Muslim Student Association at UC Berkeley won’t protest a campus conservative magazine’s decision to reprint two of the Danish cartoons that prompted outrage in the Muslim world for lampooning the prophet Muhammad.I wonder what led them to decide to steer clear of protesting? Maybe it's because their sob-story act's gotten tired already!
The cartoons already have been debated on campus, and California Patriot magazine’s republication of two images, along with an article saying the cartoons are justified as examples of free speech, adds nothing to the issue, said Roberta Davenport, the Muslim student association’s vice president.
“They’re a day late and a dollar short, obviously,” she said.
The Muslim group’s political action committee met Monday night and decided against a strong response to the magazine’s decision.
“We decided not to protest or anything like that, because that doesn’t serve any of our goals,” she said.
Nevertheless, it'd be a good idea to be on the lookout for if any of their minions attempt to exact revenge in other, potentially worse, ways.

An Afghan man is facing the death penalty for becoming a Christian.
Abdul Rahman was arrested last month after his family went to the police and accused him of converting from Islam.
He has gone on trial for rejecting Islam - an offence punishable by death under Shariah law.
During the hearing, the defendant allegedly confessed that he converted from Islam to Christianity 16-years-ago.
He had been working as a medical aid worker for Afghan refugees in neighbouring Pakistan.
The judge said: "We are not against any particular religion in the world.
"But in Afghanistan, this sort of thing is against the law.
"It is an attack on Islam. The prosecutor is asking for the death penalty."
