A Dutch think tank is has come to the conclusion that Sharia is not so bad after all. According to one of the researchers for the report:
“We should not be so spastic about the Sharia.” It may be that the system leads to corporal punishment in countries like Saudi Arabia and Sudan, “but under the Sharia in Morocco, family law has been reformed, very much to the advantage of women’s rights.” The Sharia for Muslims is comparable to the Ten Commandments for Christians, in the researcher’s view. “It is God’s plan for human nature.”
Here’s his advice for Dutch international policy:
Schoonenboom advises “an adventurous foreign policy” for the Dutch government. “We must support the moderate Islamic powers much more, such as the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and Hezbollah in Lebanon, instead of secular movements without prospects in Muslim countries. We must talk to the Palestinian regime of Hamas. They are democratically elected. It is a terrorist movement, but so was Arafat’s PLO. And the IRA in Ireland.”
“On the other hand, we must be much more critical regarding our friendly countries. We must address Russia more forcefully on human rights violations in Chechnya, Israel for its decades of ignoring UN resolutions and the US regarding Guantanamo Bay.”
Schoonenboom denies that the WRR report is naive. It is a reaction of “a real fear of dangerous developments. Do we want to go on living in a land that is plagued by fear of attacks?”
This is the kind of thinking that goes on in a pretty, young, scrawny guys head on his first night in prison.

Don't these people realize that sharia is the dark ages? That even contemplating this, is "giving in" the Islam's wish for world domination?

It's stories like this, which make me worried that there may be no hope. This is just inexplicable. The guy even admit that his recommendations are because of the fact that there is a climate of fear.
guess the fact that all countries practicing sharia are poor and run by despots has absolutely nothing to do with the laws then

now i've heard everything. these people should be tried for treason. They are the Oswald Mosleys of today. Remember Mosley used to say that Fascism and Nazism were great ideologies and that hitlers regime should be supported, 'tis just the Jews that make you think otherwise. :(
