"The New Goths Are Coming"

From this article, published on June 11, 2006:

"ONE of Britain’s most senior military strategists has warned that western civilisation faces a threat on a par with the barbarian invasions that destroyed the Roman empire.

"In an apocalyptic vision of security dangers, Rear Admiral Chris Parry said future migrations would be comparable to the Goths and Vandals while north African 'barbary' pirates could be attacking yachts and beaches in the Mediterranean within 10 years.

"Europe, including Britain, could be undermined by large immigrant groups with little allegiance to their host countries — a 'reverse colonisation' as Parry described it. These groups would stay connected to their homelands by the internet and cheap flights. The idea of assimilation was becoming redundant, he said.

"The warnings by Parry of what could threaten Britain over the next 30 years were delivered to senior officers and industry experts at a conference last week. Parry, head of the development, concepts and doctrine centre at the Ministry of Defence, is charged with identifying the greatest challenges that will frame national security policy in the future...."

Thirty-years to accomplish "reverse colonization." Is the time shorter?

The British MSM do now seem to be slowly awakening to the Islamic threat. This from Melanie Phillips at the Daily Mail: http://www.melaniephillips.com/articles/archives/001739.html

She doesn't actually mention the T-word, but ...

"This is because it is a core al Qaeda strategy to use dissimulation and false trails to confuse its terrorist targets. Drawing on the Islamic principle that lies or omissions for the ‘greater good’ of Islam are permissible .... Muslim community sources say that the level of dissimulation being practised to lead the British security services astray is sophisticated and extensive. With so few undercover agents in place, MI5 relies very largely on informers who are used systematically to relay disinformation back to their handlers, including apparently random material which apparently confirms false leads that have been planted."

I like how this guy describes what COULD happen, by describing what IS happening.

Nice trick.

Pastorius,
Yeah, I noticed that. But, still, seeing this particular article sort of surprised me.

Oh, I think it's a great article. That quirk is just funny to me.

I actually think that is an ingenious way of avoiding the PC police, while, at the same time, making your point.

From the N. American side of the Atlantic I get the impression that Melanie Phillips regards herself as outside the mainstream British media, and that the Daily Mail is generally regarded as a "far"-right-wing tabloid without credibility (though it actually has two of the best columnists in the country, Phillips and Peter Hitchens). Though she does seem to have been interviewed quite a bit lately in other media outlets, e.g. on BBC radio.

Generally regarded? By whom? Not by the millions of people who buy it.

Maybe 'generally regarded' means acknowledging the recieved opinions of the parasites at the BBC , the moonbats at the Grauniad, and all the self-appointed, effete, sneering, post-colonialist, leftist, academic elites that hard-working taxpaying British citizens are supposed to bow down to, even as they pay to support the activities of these vermin who are destroying the social and cultural fabric of England.

It has never failed to amaze me how little the English have paid attention to this interesting repeat of history on their own island. Of course, the moonbats in chief consider themselves deserving of almost anything due to their colonialist past. Still, this is almost exactly what has happened before. Will the English now retreat to Wales, Cornwall and Brittany?

Great find, AOW.
