Straight From the Horse's Mouth: Islam Is Fascism

If I were to say Islam, itself, is Fascist, I would be accused of being a bigot. But, if leaders of major Islamic nations and organizations say it, perhaps, we ought to listen

Here, from Jihad Watch, we are told that there is no room for Freedom in Islam:

Despite the insistent pleas of some apologetic sections of the Muslim community and their distorted claims that Islam ‘represents freedom’ and ‘tolerance’. The fact of the matter is that there is no room for freedom in Islam whatsoever, in fact Islam calls for the complete opposite, and end of all freedoms and the enslaving of all people to their lord.

And, then there's this, from the Ayatollah Khomeini:

Islam’s jihad is a struggle against idolatry, sexual deviation, plunder, repression, and cruelty. The war waged by [non-Islamic] conquerors, however, aims at promoting lust and animal pleasures. They care not if whole countries are wiped out and many families left homeless. But those who study jihad will understand why Islam wants to conquer the whole world. All the countries conquered by Islam or to be conquered in the future will be marked for everlasting salvation. For they shall live under [God’s law]. ...

Those who know nothing of Islam pretend that Islam counsels against war. Those [who say this] are witless. Islam says: Kill all the unbelievers just as they would kill you all!

Islam says: Kill the [the non-Muslims], put them to the sword and scatter [their armies]. Does this mean sitting back until [non-Muslims] overcome us? Islam says: Kill in the service of Allah those who may want to kill you! Does this mean that we should surrender [to the enemy]? Islam says: Whatever good there is exists thanks to the sword and in the shadow of the sword! People cannot be made obedient except with the sword!

The sword is the key to paradise, which can be opened only for holy warriors! There are hundreds of other [Koranic] psalms and hadiths [sayings of the prophet] urging Muslims to value war and to fight. Does all that mean that Islam is a religion that prevents men from waging war? I spit upon those foolish souls who make such a claim.

Pastorius,
You know how I've struggled with the issue presented here. I don't want to believe it! I've done research since 9/11, and I'm still doing research. There is no doubt in my mind that shari'a law is incompatible with Western values.

I don't believe that all Muslims are evil (Many are secularized or not serious about being devout followers). But I do fear the Islamofascism is the real Islam. Where does that leave us?

We often hear that Islam is no monolith and that because one school of Islam teaches one thing that doesn't mean that another school agrees with it; this is true. I wonder, however, if this is the only extent to which Islam is not monolithic: the differing schools of Islam may disagree internally over, for instance, how to initiate hostilities and who are the legitimate targets of those hostitlies but what remains constant throughout is the believer/un-believer paradigm. There is no question as to who the infidels are and that they ultimately must be subdued (and that Islam's mission is a universal one), though Muslims may quibble about what verse of the Quran or the Traditions justifies how those infidels are to be subdued. Some jurists cite certain texts that justify the murder of women and children, while others cite differing passages that don't condone such things (except under certain circumstances). Again, none of these disagreements, however, changes the fundamental goal of Islam proper: to fight until the religion is Allah's. Whether a formal call to Islam must be made to you or not, you, the unbeliever, still stand in the way of Islam's ultimate goal. The endgame remains the same for all devout Muslims.
