Storm Track Infiltration: Muslims - the Weird, Bizarre & the Confused

Last week’s news has produced some rather strange news reports and quotes from Muslims or pertaining to Muslims. You might call it the weird, bizarre and the confused.

First, the weird from an Al Qaeda wanna-be. From Peace, Earth & Justice News.

“Sir Knucklehead goes into a chatroom called "OBLcrew" and starts fishing around for a jihadi-partner. He hooks up with somebody who claims to be an Al-Q'aeda operative and who offers him $40,000 for information. But when Sir Knucklehead tries to pick up the money, he finds he's walked into a sting operation. Wow! Who could have guessed? One fellow who apparently couldn't have guessed is Michael Reynolds of Wilkes-Barre, PA, who is now under indictment on terrorism charges.

Reynolds sought to enlist "al-Qaeda members to carry out violent attacks against pipeline systems and energy facilities in an effort to reduce energy reserves, create environmental hazards, increase anxiety, and require" federal officials to spend money to protect them, the indictment said. In addition to being charged with providing material support to al-Qaeda, Reynolds was charged with soliciting explosives to use to destroy natural gas pipeline facilities. Reynolds also was charged with knowingly distributing, through the Internet, information about the construction and use of explosives, and with possession of hand grenades.

Sir Knucklehead gets into it with the judge via email and she says "Get pictures of these buildings. Get maps of these sites. Find out how to make a bomb and post it here. When you're finished I'll get you forty thousand dollars."

So Sir Knucklehead figures: "This jihad stuff is a pretty good way to make a living."

Next, the bizarre.

A male suspect in a major anti-terrorist investigation in Britain escaped capture by allegedly disguising himself as a Muslim woman dressed in a burka, The Times revealed. The fact that a fugitive remained at large after disguising himself in an Islamic dress which covered his face will further fuel the debate sparked by Jack Straw, Leader of the House of Commons, about the wearing of the veil. He was eventually caught and is now one of more than 90 suspects in British prisons awaiting trial on terror charges.

This is another indication of how the Muslim culture has incompatibilities with Western culture. It’s almost as if the true Islamic culture is an alien civilization. And it has inherent dangers to the West.

It is the first time that a male suspect has allegedly disguised himself as a Muslim woman in Britain. However, the tactic has been used frequently by Islamist fighters — including suicide bombers — in Iraq and Afghanistan. Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the former leader of al-Qaeda in Iraq, often dressed in a burka to evade American forces hunting him. Counter-terrorist agencies in Britain and Europe have long been concerned about the readiness of male Islamist terrorists to wear female clothing. The issue of people hiding their faces under the burka, which covers the whole face, or behind the niqab, which exposes only the eyes, has also posed difficulties for banks, immigration authorities and benefit offices. But questions of security have tended to be overruled by the need to maintain good community relations.

Finally, the confused. Australia is a Muslim nation, the head of Prime Minister John Howard's Muslim advisory board says. But then again, maybe it isn’t.

Dr Ameer Ali says most Australians practice Muslim values but the Muslim community is being alienated and disadvantaged by Islamophobia. Dr Ali said multiculturalism was Australia's destiny but Muslims, as latecomers, were being disadvantaged. "When I go abroad, they ask me where do I come from? I say I come from a Muslim country," he said. "Which country, they say. Australia. "That's not a Muslim country. Yes it's Muslim country. "For the value that my religion preaches, these people practise. ”So I see Islam here but (the people) may not be Muslims, but in (other) countries I see Muslims but not Islam.

Huh?!

"So when I come back to Australia, I've been told to respect Australian values and now I am confused, because I see no contradiction at all. "Values are universal. Human values - there is no such thing as Australian values."

Wrong Dr. Ameer. There are such things as Australian values they are the same as Western values. Free though, free speech, women ’s rights, democracy – we can go on about Western values that Islam chooses not to uphold.
