Interior Ministry Roni Bar-On stripped three Hamas legislators and a Hamas minister of their Israeli residency status, even though they live in east Jerusalem, because they refused to resign from their political posts, the state told the High Court of Justice on Wednesday. Those Hamas fiends should be kicked out of Israel altogether. I think Abu Tir is the one with the red hair, even the beard. If you think it looks bizarre, you're quite right; it most certainly does.
The statement came in the context of the state's reply to a petition submitted by the four Hamas representatives demanding that their status as Israeli residents be reinstated. The four were legislators Muhammad Abu Tir, Ahmed Abu Atoun and Khaled Abu Arafa, as well as Minister for Jerusalem Affairs in the Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Tota.
From the moment their residency status was withdrawn, the four residents automatically became "illegal sojourners" who could be expelled from the city. However, on June 29, three of the four were arrested and jailed along with dozens of other Hamas legislators, PA ministers and activists living in the West Bank, following the kidnapping of Cpl. Gilad Shalit.
All of us, every single man, woman, and child on the face of the Earth were born with the same unalienable rights; to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. And, if the governments of the world can't get that through their thick skulls, then, regime change will be necessary.
