Security Threat Raised In France

My friends, I am very busy with business this week, and I simply do not have time to post anything that requires thinking on my part. However, Religion of Pieces is sending me some important stuff, so I hope he doesn't mind if I just post his shit. Here it is:

More on the Charlie Hebdo affair below. The French have raised their security alert level from CAPITULATE to COLLABORATE.

"Paris - A French weekly magazine went on trial in Paris Wednesday for having published three caricatures of the Prophet Mohammed in February of last year.

The magazine, Charlie Hebdo, was accused by the Union of Islamic Organizations in France and the Great Mosque of Paris of having committed 'an act of deliberate aggression' against Muslims.

The publisher of Charlie Hebdo, Philippe Val, is charged with 'public defamation of a group of people because of their religion' and faces a maximum jail sentence of six months and a fine of up to 22,500 euros (29,000 dollars) if convicted.

The three caricatures were published on February 8, 2006, in a special edition devoted to caricatures of the Islamic religion. The issue sold 400,000 copies in a few days, whereas the magazine's usual circulation is 140,000.

Two of the caricatures in question had previously been published in September 2005 by the Danish daily Jyllands-Posten, provoking protests and violence by Muslims around the world. "
