Muslims Against Sharia Want Your Help

Many people talk about the need to reform Islam.

Now you can stop talking and start helping. With the help of our readers we went through the Koran and removed every verse that we believe did not come from Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate.

However, it is possible that we missed something, and we could use your help. If you find verses in the reformed version of the Koran that promote violence, divisiveness, religious or gender superiority, bigotry, or discrimination, please let us know the number of the verse and the reason why it should be removed.

Please email your suggestions to koran-AT-reformislam.org.

When we finish editing process, we would like to publish Reform Koran in as many languages as possible. If you could help with translation or distribution of the Reform Koran, please email us at koran-AT-reformislam.org.

If you could provide financial support, please visit our support page.

Why would you want to reform the divine word from God?

May Allah (swt) grant you Hidayath

To answer Aameen's question: if we could really know the full and complete word of God, then, when someone who professed the same religion as us disagreed with our *interpretation* of the word of God, we would have no choice but to condemn him as a heretic, and perhaps kill him.

The only way out of this dead-end of never-ending conflict among the sects variously *interpreting* the word of God is to admit that we mere humans don't yet have the full and final word, that revelation continues in history, that the faith is reformable. Only when we share a commitment to change, or renewal, can we find a way to defer our conflict.

If Islam can't reform, Muslims are destined to fight and kill each other forever, because conflict is inherent to the human condition. Is that what God really wants? If God doesn't want us to be endlessly killing each other, he must want us to engage in religious reform. Because he surely made us a species that is in endless and unavoidable conflict over the limited things and status of this world.

The modern version of the Koran cannot possibly be a divine word of God due to the simple facts that some verses in the Koran contradict each other and God is infallible.
