Note in the video that some in the audience at the swear-in applaud and whistle, others grumble and complain. The salute is worth three months jail time if she gets convicted in court btw, and I'm digging since I think she is the Secretary for VB Jongeren, or the Vlaams Belang Youth group.
When Filip DeWinter was sworn in to Parliament he gave the same salute, and exused it by saying "It's just the old Roman style salute'.

Maybe they are just completely stupid.
Maybe they just want to go OUT OF THEIR WAY to enrage, out of their way to find acts to encourage controversy, and outrage their own left.
Maybe they can't imagine that the same people who see Hizballah and Hamas and the Al Qassam freaks giving ther 'old roman salute', see this and wonder wtf?
Or maybe they want to reassure many in their base?

Maybe she has arthritis in her elbow and it can't bend, eh? That would be far more believable than the roman salute
Her arm just got out of a cast that very morning. She was having trouble, that's all.
