I have a really dumb question...

Thumbnail image for jewish_blood420.jpgJust what is the stated goal of the HAMAS / Resistance Committees continued rocketing of pre 1967 Israel?

5000+ since Israel abandoned Gaza.

So besides killing jews, I'm just wondering PRECISELY what they are trying to do?

Some dhimmis tell me that Hamas provides health care and education, and otherwise "help the poor people."

Does Hamas have a pr front man, or something?

Hamas' Charter calls for death to "the Jews". Killing Jews and destroying Israel is pretty much the point of the whole Charter.

So, I would assume the goal of the rockets is to kill Jews ultimately. I think the point of the rockets to, as in boxing, to keep their opponent constantly off balance, so that eventually, they can land the knockout punch.

AOW ..you mean like J Wright's claim for himself? If you do some things which benefit your group for your reasons, this means you are now 'good guys'?

Pasto .. I just cannot figure the strategic OR tactical advantage of doing this without missiles which could hit Tel Aviv, or Asheklon .. they must be trying to show that Olmert cannot protect his people ..in hopes that Israel's population will cave?

And go where?

But HAMAS except for saying we want Israel dead has not said a word about why they are doing this ...

If they are trying to get a Likud govt, they are doing the right hing

Epa,
I see why you ask the question now.

It seems to me that it doesn't much matter to me what they do. Everything is successful because no matter what they do, the media gets behind them.

Epa,
Years ago, I tried to tell a friend about Hamas. What I mentioned above is what I got in reply. She didn't seem to care what Hamas's charter says.

I know what you mean.
Yesterday we had a visit from a close friend who has spoken for Obama at the Maine caucases, and then went to the state convention to repeat that.

When I described how one 'association' could be explained away, if there was only one, but when you put them all together Wright, Ayers, Zbig, his wife's comments yadda.. a coherent and alarming picture emerges ..he said, 'My god you people are extremists'. I asked him how that was possible since the ADA rated him to the LEFT of Bernie Sanders? He waved his hand in the air dismissively, and changed the subject.

This parallels my experience in 2004, when I wrote an editorial op-ed for the Manchester Union Leader. The column started with me as a 1972 Mcgovern worker, and ended with me supporting George Bush in 2004 since there was NO WAY to support Kerry and his, 'terrorism is a nuisance' attitude. I then asked if people knew some of the well known names around here ..Qutb, etc, the way they did Yamamoto, etc. We have a LOT of VERY ACTIVE friends in the dem party in NH ...they didn't have a CLUE what I was talking about. The election was about domestic issues to them.

They have been pushing for Obama this time around from the beginning.

Willful ignorance all around.
I hope we are not doing the same thing in other directions.

I once tried to tell a group of anti-War protestors about the Hamas Charter. I was standing there calmly, with my three year old daughter in my arms, telling them about the Charter, and they circles around me and started yelling things like, "The Jews have to start learning how to get along with people."

They scared my daughter, and they didn't care. They were too intent on yelling about the Jews.

The sad thing is, a lot of this "willful ignorance" is really the beginnings of some kind of totalitarian hysteria. I don't believe it is really willful. T think there is part of the human brain that gets excited at the idea of the whip. And, as we've seen, these people can also get excited at the idea of hating Jews.

The kind of anger I saw directed at Jews by that crowd of anti-war protestors is of a completely different kind than the kind of prejudice I've seen directed at Jews in country clubs and among conservatives. In that crowd, one might hear something like, "They jewed me down," or "get yourself a Jew accountant", but you don't see anger.

Lefty bootlickers are really angry.

And, like I said, I don't think they are as ignorant as we give them credit for.

They know terrorism is a real threat.
